That's a straight up laser line right there. Very impressive, I've been painting for 2 years now and I'd consider myself decent, it's always cool and humbling to see the masters at work.
If you've only been painting for 2 years, im sure your not that good.. Haven't even scratched the surface.... I've been painting for 12 years and I'm just getting to the point where I can say I'm decent
@@nothingsimpostleble1593 I been painting for 7 years, going on 8, I can cut in about as straight as him, It's all in speed, but not too fast. 12 years you should be a damn pro. Some people are naturals at this, some aren't. But it's all in how good you can hide your mistakes at the end of the day I feel like that's what makes a good painter versus a great painter. It's all about what your eyes catch in lighting. But I appreciate you being humble, 12 years, I know you're most likely pretty damn good if you've done it longer than 10 with steady work. You're obviously doing something right..
Saw a video of a guy doing this saying you dont need to lay down any protection for the floors or use tape just take your time blah blah blah.. i layed down the plastic taped off the edges, and boy, am i glad i did 😂 im no painter, and I've made a huge mess, but thankfully, it's all on the plastic and tape 😅
A good brush helps alot honestly,,good cut in there..also don't panic if miss tiny bits on first coat as second coat you can go over it..also lay your oaint of back and fourth in a downward motion as to help eliminate halo effect
I’m 22 and have only worked retail jobs. It’s almost 1 am where I am and I’ve decided I want to become a painter like my grandfather and actually do something with my life. I gave you a follow just now so I can learn. This was one thing I was worried about messing up in my room painting it. And I did. I did mess it up. But now I know how to. How does one get into this career? Trade school? I’m very broke. If you could offer any guidance it would be much appreciated
What brushes do u use mate . I been using Hamilton brushes for 35 years now . Harris was good once upon a time not sure about now . I found purdy to slow but great finish .
That is handy when your wall is smooth. When it is not smooth but have structure pait underneith or spachtelputz wall, you can not move the burh this easely
ive seen so many vids with you guys doing it with no tape impressive but you gotta tell us not to try at home i know if i try that im going to be wiping alot of mistakes
too too cool, can you cut everything in at the top then roll out your drug marks all at once? Or should I be cutting one wall then rolling out my brush marks right away? Then cutting next, then rolling? Thank you!
I have 5 years of experience and never one of the managers was able to explain that to me and they are people who have 15,20 years of experience thanks
Damn, whats their reasoning behind that? Been painting for about 7 or 8 years, im sure ive done a ceiling last, at some point, but i cant think of when or why.

Do you let the cutting dry? Sometimes the paint flashes and starts pulling off if you roll

I got some paint that starts getting tacky in 10 min, i try to water down the paint

😂
Honestly this was so enjoyable to watch. Come paint my house mate you should see the state I’ve got my living room in 😂
Mate this is very impressive ❤
lol. Yeh I make a right old mess as well. Takes me ages to decorate 😮

Wow thank you. I’ve always struggled with the corners. Never thought to use the vertical axis…
Its good watching people who are masters at there trade.
Looks so satisfying 😊
Cutting in is so satisfying!
Beautiful - you makes it look so easy
Very instructive ! 🎉🎉
this guy could be a surgeon with a steady hand like that
I like painting❤❤❤
Good demo 👍
thank you! This is helpful!
You are a very skilled tradesman. Please do a video on how you clean your brushes. Thanks.
It’s easier with a flat surface, but an embossed wallpaper, different story 😂
what a majestic white paint
Impressive..! And the thing is, you ‘ve got one chance only..
That's wonderful

Apprenticeship is the way to go. No debt while you earn nice $
Damn that was good!
That line is so straight I thought it was fake. This has to be the best cut line in painting history 😂
Thanks for teaching dave

Corona pip..
What paint is that? That coverage is great 👍
What paint brushes do you recommend? I end up getting random brush hairs sticking out of the brush, which ruins any cutting in
A good brush an eye hand cordanation.👍
Honestly I hate doing corners they always get the best of me when I do them
It’s easy to say but hard to do. Ur expert
Can you post a link to the brush you use for cutting in?
Looks like you are using a straight bristle brush. Is a diagonal bristle brush better for cutting?
Hello, this short, is perfectly concise and informative, thank you 🙏 - one question, what is the ultimate cutting in brush in your opinion?😂
Which paint brush are you using on the cut in.
That stroke, man, that stroke.
That is handy when your wall is smooth. When it is not smooth but have structure pait underneith or spachtelputz wall, you can not move the burh this easely
Another reason to never have textured walls
@@zanderwilll matter of taste...😜
What brush are u using😊
Thats how i do it also. 20 yrs pushing paint and it still amazes people how clean my cut in is. Don't like those brushes though.
🤣
Try it on an old lath and plaster wall and see if its that straight lol
Yeah I tried this and got paint on the ceiling. Now I’m lost lol
Use masking tape to cover the ceiling
You did that! And with a camera 😮
This guy is a weapon
A steady hand means a lot.
Just tell me how do you carry so much paint in your brush???
I still get paint on the roof i should really start using painters tape i just hate setting it up 😂
[Writes down "don't worry" and "spot 'er in"] cheers mate.
How wet is your brush? I feel like im always squeezing paint out my brush when in fact i should be dipping.
What is best brush type
is that primer paint u using on that wall?
Any advice im 15 nearly 16 and im about to start my apprenticeship as an apprentice painter and plasterer
Purdy Pip clear cut brush.. oval well. That's the secret here. And he adds water to thin the paint.
How do you do this if one of your walls is a different color?
What kind of brush you use and the name brand
I’d like to know what paint that is, that covers black on one coat. With white!
just dont use water to your wall paint
❤❤❤
someday i will get there
next time keep the black tighter to corner just makes life easier
Who lived there before, Dracula??
😂
Thats my first 10 minutes in the job and then realize there are about 20 ft of corners need to be cut
What Kind of color is that?
I can do that with a 3 1/4 brush and get further with more paint. Who taught you?
I think it would have been easier and quicker if you just used painters tape.
❤
Gonna be hitting a few more than a couple of times to cover that black up😂
I always end up painting the top and messing things up 😢
I just get brown tape and jolly oh good it's just smash it all over the wall
We call this “edging” where I come from lol.
Yup! That’s the trick!
ive seen so many vids with you guys doing it with no tape impressive but you gotta tell us not to try at home i know if i try that im going to be wiping alot of mistakes
too too cool, can you cut everything in at the top then roll out your drug marks all at once? Or should I be cutting one wall then rolling out my brush marks right away? Then cutting next, then rolling? Thank you!
That’s easy on flat walls. The what about walls with texture?
do you need a angle brush or will a normal brush be ok
You can make it work with both but the angled brush will undoubtedly help lift the tip to the corner
I have 5 years of experience and never one of the managers was able to explain that to me and they are people who have 15,20 years of experience thanks
Can u make one on ceilings...my company is stupid and paints the ceiling last
Damn, whats their reasoning behind that? Been painting for about 7 or 8 years, im sure ive done a ceiling last, at some point, but i cant think of when or why.
What if you totally balls this up how can you sort it out (not a painter and decorator) just a person looking for tips
Precision
I'm old school.at least a 3 inch brush and pure bristle at that.
No tape???? Impressive!!!
If you aren't a professional painter don't even attempt this lol. I did and now I'm looking for paint to touch up my ceiling.
the world if tape didn't exist
No professional painters are taping ceiling lines. Tops of baseboards only
ANN'S clothes are covered in paint.
Come do mine. Haha.
I swear it's harder to cut into corners with a angled brush it's wierd
Rookie
Why aint ur paint got lines bro
Ok, if you dont need Perfekt paint
Roll before cutting? Wouldn’t trust that painter
Put tape that’s it
And the rest for the video 😂
Most annoying part about painting
Or use tape
Tape can ruin it, I used expensive tape specifically for painting edges and it pulled off my ceiling paint.
Slip 🤬
Cada quién tiene su técnica para cortar.
