Appreciate your style and explanation! About to do this on my 03 Blazer LS 4x4. Curious if you ended up doing a coolant flush video. Appreciate any recommendations you have on my situation. When I got it, had my mechanic do a coolant flush while changing the thermostat. He said the radiator was full of rust, did the best he could to flush, but it is back to rusty baby crap colored again. What is the easiest way to flush the block/entire cooling system in this process? Would I run water through the upper hose and simply let it drain out the lower while the radiator is out? If so, does the thermostat housing or thermostat need to be removed? Thanks again!
Ok... they quoted me 700$ and I bought the radiator for only 150 (with a discount).. lets hope I didn't just destroy my entire car, gonna drive it for 40 minutes in the morning. And if nothing goes wrong I will feel DAMN GOOD ! If something goes wrong, I am not taking on a project like this again.
I have a leak in my 05 gmc jimmy . Not really sure where it’s coming from but when I drive it splash everywhere. Maybe from the RAD. And the fan is splashing it around?? I will have a good look once I have time …. Awesome detailed video sir
I’ll do a Seafoam video sometime buddy, everyone loves it! Seems to be running better right now, but I’m dealing with it overheating. I think the thermostat may be stuck closed, I’m going to tear into it this weekend
Dustin T awesome! What kind of work do you do? I work for an tool an die shop, we make all kind of parts we also have a wetjet we can cut out parts, here’s my email forrel33@gmail.com if you do want your reply public!
That’s really cool man!! I don’t mind to tell you at all, for my day job I work IT at a local financial institution, and I also run a small e-commerce business. And youtube has become a fairly lucrative business for me as well!
@@DustinT Did you ever figure out the overheating? I had the same issue on my 96 GMC Jimmy. I bought it used and that was one of the issues! I figured out what it was after many different things fix, changed and cleaned! I did not have the bottom fan shroud which watching this video you do not seem to have one either.it's amazing to find out that just that missing bottom fan shroud would cause the overheating!
is this any easier to change on the 4 cylinder? I remember my dad had a 2000 4.3 Blazer which I inherited, and it was a miserable son-of-a-b****?, GUN!!! to work on. I am thinking of buying a 2.2L 4-cyl S-10 since I drive from LBCA to Nashville quite a bit.
Thats a bad day for anyone a fuel pump and a blown radiator. I stumbled across your video looking to make my life easier my brother has the same truck and hes got a hole on the same side your rad did. And i typicaly watch to find hidden bolts and sizes they have found i apprecaite your video is very helpful you have a wonderful day
@@Sam-m1y6d I did. It took me an hour and 15 min to knock it out. God I miss the blazer. I ended up wrecking mine about 2 years ago and getting an f150. Rebuilt the engine on the blazer and my f150 and have been getting better at my own mechanic work since.
@@airsoftwolfman6514 well, nice! I just figured once you cut that line you might have been in trouble. I'm debating on whether or not to put a radiator in mine right now - a bottle of stop leak worked for about 3 days, and I know I can't afford to let this old girl keep overheating - and I HATE to think of how many times it's been overheated. Every day. Because it was basically low/dry. Anyway...it's about $200 I can't really afford, or try another bottle of stop leak (seems like a bad idea for many reasons), or just keep running with a leak and dumping antifreeze in, which is getting expensive, too.
I'm watching videos bc I removed the radiator a couple months ago and just finished installing it and found a hose in my car.... trying to remember where the fuck it went
Friendly, simple, and strait forward. Love the video. Been wondering if I could do this and I think I will! Thanks!
Thank you. I will be replacing my radiator too. I’ve done some work on my cars myself with no problem watching videos on here. Ty this helps alot🙏

Oh wow...much obliged. Such an easy radiator to replace!
Did changing the radiator make the engine run better
Does the motor oil coolant hose leak oil that you have to drain the motor oil or it does not leak when you take them off.
I appreciate the help. Just wrapped the job up

It will drain faster if you remove the radiator cap
What's the deal with the radiator in front of the main rad8ator?
Ac condenser
Tighten any new radiator hoses after it gets to hot operating temperature.

Did it over heat ?
Great video! Showed me just what I needed to know. Thank you.
Very good video bro!! If your cans of heat doesn’t work to smooth that out you might try getting you some seafoam that stuff works pretty good!

Hopefully it's somewhat the same on my 98 jimmy doin it turns
So was it the fuel pump that was going out what you explained in the video sounded like a symptom of a fuel pump going out????
Yep, that was the issue!

awesome, thanks my 2004 blazer is leaking 👍👍
Great video!! Hope you are doing well, Dustin!!!!
Thanks buddy, doing great! Going to remove the thermostat on this pickup this weekend, I think it may be stuck close causing this truck to overheat
it very well could be. Love my 2003 S10 LS with 4.3
Theres a bolt that i can't get even get my wrench around cause its in such a tight spot
Very good thorough! Thx Bk
Only thing you should have done different is unhook your negative battery cable anytime you work on any component that's grounded
100% agreed, I’m usually good about doing this. Great advice buddy!
@@DustinT I just replaced one in a 98 gmc jimmy same thing exactly good video though
he did
Thanks :-) now Im nervous but hopefully i dont tear my blazer up 🤣
Thanks for posting - good job.
Great Job young man
Blew my radiator last night. My dad says it’s gonna take 3 hours. I’m gonna bust it out in maybe an hour lol
You got this buddy!
