- Welcome back to Shadows of Doubt! This is an incredible new detective game that has me HOOKED! In this video we are investigating more crime in New Amsterdam and in particular we will be solving the case of the "Lipstick Killer"! ENJOY!

Once I got a case of a guy that got his prop gun stolen. I look through his apartment and I find the gun right there with a bunch of fingerprints. I thought the partner stole it but after checking prints it turned out that the guy who hired me to find his stolen gun stole it from himself. As part of the contract I proceeded to vandalize his apartment.
Other time I got a side job that only had a set of fingerprints as useful information. Turns out that the next person that got murdered was the guy I was looking for.

Feels like the next thing would be to introduce relationship tags so like someone is more likely to give info to help find their friend/partner's killer.
Another story to add to the book...
A woman poisoned in the middle of the street; she was mid-work. No eye witnesses, the killer was quick and left behind only a syringe with their fingerprints on. I tracked down her apartment and found her partner. I thought he'd be distraught, but it was as if no one had told him and he was just carrying on living his life; sad really. I didn't have the heart to tell him.
The case goes cold. All leads lead to nowhere. Coworkers are all clear, the only clue, the fingerprints, remains a mystery. Frustration is kicking in... Until he strikes again. Raven is found dead in her apartment; POISONED. It's him, I know it, I just have to look over the CCTV and... No. No one that leads anywhere. More fingerprint mismatches, more rabbit holes with no rabbit and a detective losing his mind.
Until Lorcan. The third (and final) victim. The Valentine Viper slipped up and went too close to home. Not only did I catch him on CCTV at the time of the murder, but turns out he's recognised in the building and WORKS at the same place as the vic... A little place called Pagano's, where I made my arrest.
Case closed.
I immediately started playing after watching your first episode. I went to the house of the murder and the police showed up at the same time as me. They knocked on the door and a guy opened up. I took his finger prints. It turned out to be the killer lol.

I am SOOOO happy he's continuing this game. It's a blast to watch Insym's big brain at work.

I definitely see why this hasn't been a stream game. I couldn't imagine how annoying all.the backseat detectives would be.
As private investigator your character is probably smart enough to wear gloves so you would leave no fingerprints. Hopefully.
I like to think that as well even though we can clearly see your character doesn't wear gloves
This game is actually so much fun! Would love to see more episodes, it would be so cool seeing the progression of doing harder and harder cases and moving up from a basement with barely any furniture into the most expensive place in the city. Keep up the amazing work Insym, appreciate you
For the case around 1:48, if not per se doing it for the amount of cash, I love solving such hard cases. Finding out who it was, for example, finding out who the job came from first and just sometimes, luck cause you stumble upon leads on seemingly impossible cases. So satisfying
I fell in love with this game immediately. I just had a murder case and I was stumped, had a fingerprint which was almost the only thing to go off of. I ended up finding out the murder based off a word jumble I found near the body which I dismissed as a silly game that didn't mean anything. I then noticed that the jumble was " _._ _ _ _ _ _ " which after looking at it after running around the whole city trying to figure anything out I finally realized it had to be a name so I looked in the city directory and actually found a name that fit the puzzle! I went to the house and finally found the matching finger prints! I was too late as they had killed a second person but I still felt very good after figuring out such a hard puzzle.
Here's a challenge run for you. Fill out everyone's files (probably on a small map) before ever solving a case, using money gotten from stealing to fund it, then see how easy cases are to solve after.

I've been running around in my medium (I originally tried to gen a small town, but the sync clinic didn't spawn!), literally asking everyone their name (it helps when you have the sync disk fully upgraded for the people are more likely to give info away for free. The fully upgraded is 35%.) I'd say like 75% of the time or prolly even higher than that honestly, I can get people to give their name free. As soon as I started doing that, I noticed my very next murder vic was someone I had already talked to!
I thought the Conrad dev finished the lighthouse map really quickly when I read this at first lol.

With my short attention span, it normally takes a couple days to finish one of your videos. But this game is so fun to watch I can watch it in a single sitting if I have the time.

Please upload more if you play this in your free time. This game seems incredible in the procedural generation, its very entertaining and that moment in the case when you get a clue that connects the dots is a weirdly addictive feeling
Because of your videos, I decided to try the game out on my own seed. My first case was surprisingly hard, but I decided to give it a go. I barely had any info on the Victim, let alone the killer, as there was no ID or wallet in the house for my victim. I did eventually find a place of work, and his contacts. I ended up dicking around a lot at the workplace, robbing the place, when a Elena walked in. She was surprisingly forthcomming with info, and told me she had last seen my victim, after his death. So my gut was telling me it was her, but I had nothing concrete to place her at the crime scene, and no motive known either, as they seemed to be on good terms. So I decided to try going back to the victims building, and seeing if the cameras caught anything. Low and behold, not 10 minutes before the murder, Elena was seen on the cameras, right in front of the victims room.
This game really does let you be as creative, and free as you want. It feels good when you find something off, and it turns out to be evidence.
please please PLEASE continue this series!!!

@@ohmygahwd_imgaysuper late but yes! I’ve been on a diet to help me gain weight for... well my whole life and I guess I overdid it or something because O had a high calorie smoothie and someone I know had it too and they were fine.
Lesson learned I guess!

God, this city DOES feel alive. Neighborhood quirks, creeps and collectors included.
You absolutely can solve those higher dollar cases even with only the info of first initial, it just requires a LOT of running around to each of the people with that initial from the directory, did one earlier that took a solid 3 or so hours but eventually did find the person
Insym sent me again, can't wait to see this game on stream one day soon. I am loving the series and can't wait for more.

Surveillance footage is extremely useful. If you don't see what you need on the correct floor then look at the lobby. Unless they live in the building they have to come through the lobby.
This is great! I have almost no time to watch videos at this stage of my life, but I will make sure to watch this every time I procrastinate or actually take a break.
You might have found out by now (or before the end of this video lol), but if you turn off the lights and your flashlight, the camera doesn't spot you while trespassing or lockpicking. Also, only if you are very close to someone or a camera you can be spot in the dark, while hiding for example. I've hidden under a desk where I just bashed the door in, only to have them sit down there at the pc for more than an hour in-game.

By the way, the way you can investigate the crime scene legally is if there is a roommate in the house, you can knock on the door and if your social credit is high enough, you can pay to get into the building and it’s legal even though it’s crime scene, even police won’t stop you.

A tip is to inspect every character to put it in your database. When you get a mysterious character, put written notes around and if they have with more than 5 floors usually have security rooms somewhere. On blueprints it looks like a tiny square room-not the first floor security. (If you have only signature then look in the resident files)
