Some things I've done a hundred times. Others, never. My frustration has been building over several hours with substandard videos. My wife wants you to know that she is indebted to you forever. No bad attitudes now. I especially appreciate your sense of humor. It mattered. thanx r
I had to put all the drip rail moldings on a '68 Roadrunner last year that I bought as an unfinished project. All the moldings were in the trunk when I bought it. When I went to put them back on they were all warped and bent. They no longer followed the curve of the roof. I took a hammer and a wooden dowel and fixed all the small dents and bends but as far as the loss of curvature I used my Harbor Freight shrinker/stretcher on the lower edges to restore the proper shape. It worked although if you know where to look you can see a few light teeth marks from the tool. So many people just pry those moldings off with a screw driver and just ruins them. Thanks for making a video showing the right way.
For a few years I drove a 1970 Skylark Custom, bought for my brother in '79. Had some water leakage through the rear window seals, as the car was kept outdoors, so that may help explain rust in odd places. One time my dad moved it from sun to shade to wash it, and the cold water caused some front windshield cracks. Beautiful bright gold color with a white vinyl roof, and white cloth interior.
Firing the camera guy might not be a good idea 🤣 Good video. Looking forward to the rest! ( So you wouldn’t bother fixing the lower passenger door rust?)
1970 looks way better n i.use to own one back in 1998 1 owner gold white vynal top n white interior black carpet dash n bucket seats pain 350$ here in Northern calif 🇺🇲

Great video! I am now subscribed and looking forward to more.
Thanks for subscribing!
Now for a video on how to put it back on. Plus which trim can be polished in house. Unless I missed that in your other video
I'll have some other content that covers more specific stainless stuff.
huge help thanks
Thanks for watching!
Great video. Some of my windshield trim clips are in bad shape and need to be replaced. How do I remove them?
Take a pair of needle nose pliers and just pull/wiggle them up. They kind of "snap" onto the studs.
very helpful thanks.
Thanks for watching!
but how do you put it on after paint or do you paint with it on ?
Trim is removed so I can paint the car. Once painted, cut and buffed, I reinstall everything.

I think it's going to depend on what it looks like when I dig into it.
