  • In the world of GM automotive restoration there are few tasks more frustrating than installing rear window trim on a 1966/67 A-Body 2 door hardtop. The tunnel rear window design is very elegant, but fitting the trim can be vexing.
Having a good understanding of the relationships between the glass height, trim clips and their studs, knowledge of how the trim is retained and patience are key to a successful installation. We get asked about this a lot, so we took the time to lay out the things to look for and to show you how we approach it. Others have had success with their own methods and that is great - there is not one single “right thing”. If you pay attention to the details and are careful, you’ll have a great fitting set of trim!
