NO ONE ANYWHERE EVER HAS MADE MUSIC SO BEAUTIFULL.....WHO ELSE CAN MAKE A STRING SECTION ROCK SO BEAUTIFULL AS THIS MAN...............TRULY A GOS AMONG MEN ...........THANK YOU GEORGE IVAN MORRISON..............
I've listened to this album many, many times. But it wasn't until the other night that I noticed the little grumble he does at 0:30. And I find it beautiful. That's a quality of only the greatest artwork...you keep discovering new things within it to fall in love with.
Used to stay up all night working on college essays listening to this in the background. . . also Common One, Beautiful Vision, Inarticulate Speech of the Heart & Poetic Champions Compose. Normally I can't listen to music & concentrate But these had the opposite effect. I had great grades that year. I love his adlib vocals, viola & piano on this song. Great fade out.
I started out with Beautiful Vision & Into the Music when I was 18. They were the few CDs out from him (CDs being a new thing. . . they were imports). As they became more available I got Moondance & His Band & the Street Choir. . . which I love, but I still gravitate back to the 80s stuff. My girlfriend and I saw him at New Orleans Jazzfest, 1996 when he had Days Like This out. Loved that one, too. He did an intimate indoor show the night before the fair grounds show that was fantastic!
I feel so lucky to have had vans music coursing through my life, I bought my first van record in 1965 ( here comes the night ) age 13 and he has "seen me through " since. I feel sorry for people who get it .
Van has made great music during every stage of his career. But his best album in my opinion is Astral Weeks. There's just something about it. By the way, it's nice to see a dog who appreciates Morrison's work as much as you do.
SUCH AN ARTISTICALLY TENDER PERFORMANCE OF A BEAUTIFUL CLASSIC LOVE SONG---- MAGNIFICENT!

Many a tear has to fall...

perfect instrumentals, sexy voice. What a man x
Yeah. The B side of this thing is heaven.
Sound like you're really into Van's middle-aged, stream of consciousness period. What do you think of his earlier work?
classic
I like the live version from his live album at the opera house in Belfast better.
wow no wonder he was knighted
