I've got the same opinion about Chaoseater from Darksiders. Simple in shape, and yet with a lot of decoration.
The Ashen Vindicator from Soulstice too. Even simpler in shape than Chaoseater (being a Berserk reference), but it also has a long handle on one side of the blade instead of an edge, to make it better wieldable upside-down. This is important because Ashen Vindicators/Enforcers double as both weapons and warhammers.
The Heavenly Sword from the same-titled game... to an extent. It's got an awkward spiky bit at the back upper part of the handle, but it also seems to have a pretty elegant mechanism of splitting the blade in two.
I would include the Soul Reaver among here, but out of all these blades, it's the closest to being realistic (to an extent).

The sword not cutting horizontally actually still matches up with the video games. While attacking without using an inputted direction from the stick, Link usually attacks with diagonal strikes and a vertical strike to start a combo, usually ending with a horizontal slice that would knock back enemies and allow him to jump-strike or Finishing Blow on them while they were knocked onto the ground. It also matches up with the great spin attack that knocks everything away from him.

The way he batters enemies around and sends them flying lends to the idea of a lack of sharpness in exchange for blunt force capabilities, so this seems like a damn accurate master sword to me.

In the games "Ocarina of Time" and "Majoras Mask" he grabs the sword in the air for a mor powerful downslash wich would be a reason why the jump attack is his most powerfull basic attack. The customer service responded that it is just tarnished and will essentially look like the picture if you polish the brass. They didn’t say anything about the hilt being blued. If what they said is true, it would seem they deliberately tarnished the hilt to look more like the blue hilt the Master Sword traditionally has, but if you want the brighter look then simply polish it. That would allow for some easy options.
I bought one and plan on testing this on the area of the sword that traditionally looks like it has some sort of yellow gem on it. -it’s that spot with a diamond shape. That should make it look even closer to the traditional design.

Distal taper and a hollow grind would probably help tremendously with blade weight and edge geometry. Would also give more room for a slightly wider blade and more pronounced riccaso. Rather than cast bronze/brass, the cross guard could be made much stronger and lighter by using stainless steel, this again would allow for it to be made thinner. Handle length in the more recent games has been somewhere around a hand and a half length, lending itself to single handed use while giving a bit of handle to grab onto for the occasional 2 handed attacks, in game such attacks are usually reserved to "fatal blow" attacks. Handle length and pommel size could then be adjusted to balance the weapon
