Hadelich have what Oistrach said: to have tecnic and forget it..so you can think only about music..I agree with Brad Richards : this is a new benchmark of this masterpiece
Thank you very much for your incredible performance: I've listened to several great virtuosos performed this Fugue; I love your Fuga the best...very uniquely "Augustin." 1st time witnessing anyone playing this Fugue with a baroque bow...WOW. I also like the effect of double trill at the end of Grave :)
Seriously sick... is how your competition must be feeling. This is a new high for this piece with a really extraordinary interpretation. Bach is smiling and shouting: that's it, that's exactly it !
Absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. The period bow really adds to the sound and the nuances it makes possible. Augustin's intonation and musicality continue to astound me. Seeing these sounds produced on a video is incredibly valuable. They show that a human is actually producing them and how, and what a wonderful human, one who turns trials into sources of depth, humility, incredible competence, and stunning beauty.
Every time I find a great performer on you tube I've the feeling to admire a diamond. Since I discovered you I've the feeling to be in presence of a miracle... Thanks Maestro!
Absolutely magnificent - a fugue on the violin actually sounding like a fugue (a four part one at that) and facilitated by Hadelich's flawless technique using a Guarneri violin and Baroque bow - brilliant.
@@CorelliGassner and he composed a lot more for piano i love violin but the fact that bach is one of the only people to have ever written a fugue for violin while plenty have written for piano has to show something
@@lizzybach42541. Who cares what the “best instrument” is for a fugue? 2. The organ is right there, if you’re gonna try to call the piano ‘best for fugues’. So silly
I dont know if it is his favourite period to play but i always thought he sound the most heavenly when playing Baroque pieces. I love his interpretation and execution of Baroque pieces
Thanks for enlighten us with such a flawless interpretation of this great work. You are a great maestro because you inspired me to play this, thanks, thanks and thanks again.
have to learn the Grave and Fuga for my exam in summer. This is one of the hardest pieces, I had to learn in my life. Huge respect to Augustin Hadelich for playing it so well!
I keep returning to your Bach interpretations. I deeply love Hilary Hahn's versions and they opened Bach for me yet again with new ears. But your interpretations are so incredibly clear and warm. I love the way you break the chords and the softness of your more silent pieces. This violin also sounds especially beautiful together with this bow. I know, its a bit stupid to compare artists and there is no "better" in my eye. Each time has their fashions and approaches. I just really, really love the rich, controled, emotional color you crafted. I would love to hear Biber's Passacaglia in this kind of warm, controlled sound.
Thank you so much Augustin, I really really enjoyed watching you playing with such passion and sensitivity and, I really really love ❤️ this piece of music 🎶, it’s so pretty too. And you are really really talented and clever too. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
Not meaning to argue your point, just curious of your disdain for Bell? I agree that Bell's Bach interpretations aren't the best out there (his speciality is more with the romanticists and impressionists anyhow, I believe), but what do you have against him?
In every interpretation of a familiar piece you present us with something new and refreshing! Thank you Augustin! Could you share with us what's your recording equipment?
Left sides of Augustin's index finger almost never touches the neck. Am I seeing this correctly? should it be like this or just sometimes (e.g. vibrato)? I tried to do the same thing but my thumb gets tired fast!
It relieves extra tension. I'm practicing on having that gap as well and my whole hand is so much more free and relaxed and I get beautiful vibrato. The only thing is that my intonation will suffer cause I don't have much reference as I do when I place my inner index finger on the neck. But I'm practicing a lot so that will be fixed soon❣
Just the most satisfying intonation I've heard
Wait until u hear Hilary’s version😵💫😵💫
@@sappclobyt1331I still prefer this.

OMG! Absolutely transformative. Even Bach could never have hoped for such a compelling interpretation. Once again, a new benchmark.
It just goes to show that great music was written long before today’s complex understanding of the violin’s mechanics. Truly appreciative

One of the most underrated movements from any work by Bach, performed by one of the most inspiring violinists in the classical world
This is pure beauty. Thank you, Augustin!
I am continually stunned by how clean your playing is, Augustin. Thank you for sharing.

Speechless. Absolutely breathtaking. Thank you for these recordings on the instrument; it’s been quiet for too long.
Very true my friend
I am speechless at the fuga. So much so that I really can't stop myself from telling y'all about it.

Piano is still the best instrument for a fugue though

For me one of the best violinist I've ever heard!!!!!
love how easily I can follow the bassline. And I love the tailend of the Grave with double trills
Bach magic
Such respect for Bach. Beautiful Hadelich ❤️
It opens as if performed by a might pipe organ. And moments later it disappears to vapor. What magic! Bravo Maestro!
Thank you Augustin. It cannot be cleaner than that. Very satisfying.
hooked from the first second

Perfect. Sublime. Bravissimo, Augustin!! Big hugh from Buenos Aires.
What really amazing control of the most infintessimal nuanses.
Only a word: gorgeous!
So much colors here, this is very hard in Bach!
Per me è il più bravo del mondo!

A very special character and sonority embeds the entire performance, since its very begining... Magical!
Criatividade, é bom gosto! Violinista de muita paixão, em tudo que toca! Grandes intérpretes.
