    Nice job fixing it. I've had the laying in bed trying to fall asleep while thinking about if I remembered to do something with the truck I was working on at work. 99% of the time there was nothing to worry about but 1% is too much to let go if you know there's a possibility of something going bad because you let it go

      It means you give a crap. Sadly there are a lot of people that don't.

    So Scott, I recently got ahold of a Husqvarna 455 Rancher for repair. Customer complaint is it won't start. Looked like it sat for a few years but seemed to be in decent shape. It has spark and compression. Drained the old fuel. Cleaned the carb which was in seemingly good condition. Primer bulb appears to be functioning properly. Put in fresh fuel and I can't get it to burp or anything. Any ideas? Your input would be valued and appreciated bud.

      At 1:21 I said that I was gonna to use the factory tool. I then spun it with an impact wrench - reverse threads.

    You know, it sucks, but I wouldn't say BS. It would be BS if you DIDN'T remember.

      Ya that really would have been BS especially because when he came to pick this one up he bought another one just like it, a 572XP and a T435. It would have sucked to let him down with such a simple mistake.

    Yup locktight the worst thing you can you use because it makes it next to impossible to take back out for a later service if ya don't end up braking it off in the process witch I have done because on trucks I've worked on and then makes the job much longer to repair because you have to get the broken off bolt out. So stupid.

    • @TheGreasyShopRag

      I guess there are two ways to look at it. Not using loc-tite and having the saw fail on the job can be costly in time lost and broken parts. Besides it takes just a little heat to break the loc-tite bond.

      @@TheGreasyShopRag I've done lots of work on my own saws and saws for other people over the years and not once have I used this junk and not once have I had a problem with stuff getting loss after being worked on. So bite me.

      @@jeromyw385xp No need to get hostile. I simply offered another point of view. Did you ever consider why saw manufacturers use thread locker on many bolts? Its not because they like spending extra money to manufacture saws. Its because bolts were coming loose.

    • @jeromyw385xp
      @jeromyw385xp 2 года назад

      @@TheGreasyShopRag if the bolts are coming loss there must be a resion why and it's most likely due to improper taped and hole sizeing or bolts not manufactured properly. Or improper design. Plan and simple.
