    THINGS MENTIONED IN THIS VIDEO:
Questions to ask you OB pre-pregnancy
If you have any questions about your previous pregnancy/delivery/placenta, now is a good time to ask them.
How might previous PE, placental abruption, c-section, or other complication affect a future pregnancy?
What are the chances of PE/GH/HELLP happening to me again?
Are there any genetic or other tests I should do before pregnancy that might help with identifying and treating underlying conditions?
Do you recommend I start low dose aspirin, and if so, how much, and when should I start?
Do you recommend any other vitamins or supplements to optimize my or my baby’s health?
Are there any medications I need to change before pregnancy or in early pregnancy?
At which hospital should I plan to deliver?

Yes please change your doctor. The way that doctor treated you brought back memories of me having a nonchalant doctor with my pregnancy. I had severe preeclampsia that escalated to eclampsia all because my doctor disregarded by concerns and missed the warning signs. Thank God me and my baby boy survived. If I were to try again I’m definitely being careful with my doctor choice and advocating for myself. You got this and prayerfully you’ll find a doctor that sincerely cares.

I live in Cordova TN and I went to a specialist in Germantown. I refuse to see a male doctor after what happen to me when I had my daughter. That man almost killed me. He had no compassion or bed side manners. I found my Obgyn through reference and I love her. I’m very straight forward and she answered all my questions and made me feel important! I pray and hope that you find the right doctor for you on this new journey to baby number 2!

Remember to breath Queen. I'm afraid to change my doctor for the same reasons. My last pregnancy was a miracle to me because I faced a "hormonal imbalance" for most of my life before I was finally diagnosed with PCOS at age 33. (As if that condition doesn't affect thin women too smh). Then like 5 mths later I got pregnant without any treatment 🙌🏽. I did developed gestational diabetes and my son was born nearly a mth early. Now I'll be 36 yrs old this year when trying for baby number 2. It took soo long to get pregnant before and I'm just fearful of what could happen if I don't get started right now.
I'm praying for a peaceful journey for you and that you'll get the right OB who will make you and your baby their priority. 🙏🏼❤

I would recommend, if you're able to, to try an actual fertility clinic as opposed to a regular OB/Gyn. They would likely be more proactive and supportive regarding your history. I will be praying for you. My husband and I have 4 children and we are ttc via iui next month. If God says 4 is enough then we will also still be grateful. God bless your journey.

I feel for you mama. I have 2 daughters and after giving birth to my last daughter I developed PCOS, Ovarian Cysts and 1 fibroid. I had it for over 10 years. It caused infertility. My cycle was very irregular and I would go 6 months without a cycle. Then by surprise I found out I was pregnant June 2021. At 6 weeks of pregnancy I kept having dreams of a baby boy. I always wanted my first born to be a little boy so I was excited and started buying baby boy clothes super early based off my dreams. I went for ultrasound at 16 weeks of pregnant and found out I was definitely having a boy. I also developed pre-eclampsia at 28 weeks of pregnancy and I was hospitalized at 30 weeks. I gave birth at 32 weeks 12/4/21 and my son remained in NICU for 5 weeks. He is now home and healthy.

Hey beautiful Taunya! Happy New Year to you and your family! So sorry to hear about your experience with the medical "UNCARE" there, you know how I feel about Memphis😓...I told you all about that before you guys relocated and this confirms why I'm glad we left that place 4 years ago! I'm glad you got settled in and I have enjoyed watching Lux grow up when I can catch a glimpse of him on IG! He is so handsome! I laughed so hard at the wearing a smooth 4T and not a little 18-24months because my son was thick and healthy like him at that age 😆 and now he's 14 and wearing a size 9 men's shoe so I get it! It's been almost 5 years my husband and I have been on this TTC journey and trying to conceive is already so very hard and tedious these days and to hear that you went through this with someone who really has no care for anything about your background and medical history is very upsetting and daunting. I knew you had to be very upset yes to definitely hear you curse and to see the tears for this reason just breaks my heart. I dealt with the same emotions and experiences before relocating from there and it use to drain me of my TTC energy to the point I just gave up. You know a little about my history with having PCOS and trying to conceive, so again I found hope and went through a deep search after going through some of the similar things you talk about in this vlog with doctors there not caring about helping particularly in my experience "Black women" to conceive & it's really a stigma there that I can't stomach. I'm so glad to still be out of that city due to this being an issue in itself and many other personal things. I promise I've had the exact same feelings and experience that you are having in your car right now of leaving an appointment that is so very important to us with no answers is the utmost upsetting, empty feeling and it hurts. Please drop him now and tell him thank you but no thank you and leave your review because it's needed! And the nurses that usually work for them don't care anyway, because they are just there for a check, no understanding or moral support at all. They didn't take your history seriously at all and that is definitely not the type of doctor you want responsible for you and your child's life. I am definitely praying for you on your journey and BIG congratulations again on everything, especially the courage on trying to conceive for baby number two with your history! You're one strong beautiful black woman and this is so exciting to hear and I'm praying for your beautiful bouncing babygirl! I did want to chime in and help you out to let you know about the doctor that I had before we relocated to South Carolina and he was so patient and so amazing and I miss him honestly although I do now have an outstanding doctor here. Before finding him I never had a doctor to care for my medical history and TTC journey like he did before relocating! His name is Dr Stinson W David MD 315 S Walnut Bend Rd, Cordova, TN 38018, I'm not sure if he's in your network but I hope this helps and I pray that you can switch to him and try him out! If I didn't think he was the BEST I definitely wouldn't refer you to him. I seriously wanted to pack him up and bring him to Myrtle Beach with me and my husband 😂 I pray that you can contact him and get the much information you need my love! Blessings on top of blessings on your journey.🙏🏼❤️

I hate doctors like that. As I told you before we kinda went through the same thing in the past and like this appt. My first fertility doctor was like yours brushing me of and just telling me to lose 50lbs and not until then I could come back... I was so shocked the next fertility doctor I really loved he took him time with me I told him that my endocrinologist said my prolactin levels were finally normal. And he did more testing and etc. He got a game plan lined up for us as we had unexplained fertility. The next month we got pregnant on our own. I'm like you after im suppose to have my baby next month. We do want to have a good game plan when we want to try again. I would have had the same reaction as you. I would suggest waiting on your results and looking for another dr because you will find a dr out there that will actually take their time with you and consider your past medical history. I wish you good luck hunny. I pray you find a amazing doctor there, get pregnant, have a safe and healthy pregnancy, and get you baby.❤️

Right they already get paid alot. So have some compassion for your patients. Yes I can't wait til meet her it has been 5plus years in the making. I thank God for allowing us for this blessing. Np for the encouragement it's go to know there are other women going through what you are. Helps to know your not alone. It's good to have someone you can talk with.

I hate that they don’t take your journey seriously until after you’ve been trying for 6 months 😠😠 like NO! Let’s be proactive. I experienced the same thing with my OB so I switched to a fertility clinic when TTC and stayed with them for my first trimester. BABY DUST TO YOU!!!! It will be ok 😘😘🙏🏾🙏🏾

Hey hun, so sorry you had this experience. I hate doctors like this. He sounds awful 😞 Like mannnn. We already go through enough and then to not get the care and attention we need really sucks . Your feelings are definitely valid and I wouldn’t return to him if you don’t have to. I hope you find a new doctor who listens and cares soon.

That sucks. I think a MFM or maternal fetal medicine would be better to see with your history, they are high risk doctor and they tend to be more sensitive and understanding.

Find another doctor. Ridiculous business and medical practices. He didn't pay attention to you or your needs. And...I'm going to say it..see if you can find a woman doctor of color. Are you near Vanderbilt?

@@LoveTaunya so very sorry you had to go through that hon. I am so glad you are getting it done. Thanks for sharing. Also...Black women are treated this badly all the time in the medical profession. Love that you are standing up to that nonsense.

I totally agree. Find you a woman doctor. Make sure you can get a telephone or zoom appointment for an interview with the doctor. That will cut down on travel time and all you would need to do is come in for a pap and lab work if you like them. I know some women don’t mind having a male doctor but personally don’t feel like a man really understands what it’s like to physically and mentally struggle with infertility or pregnancy loss from a woman’s perspective.

N-O! Unacceptable behavior from that doctor, four months before fertility treatment, no. Is there another doctor to go to. Time is of the essence after 30 with additional health concerns.

Doctors who think they know everything under the sun simply because they’re doctors are very dangerous. I hope you find a more compassionate doctor who is willing to listen to you about your body. I wonder if if treatment of you was influenced by his front desk staff since you had a hard time getting them to schedule the type of appointment you needed.

    • @LoveTaunya
      @LoveTaunya  2 года назад +1

You hit the nail right on the head! Know it all doctors are so dangerous because they can miss so much not listening to their patients. I don't know if the front desk staff had anything to do with his treatment but I won't see or talk to any of them again. The new doctors front desk staff was already hands on with helping me get what I need so I hope that's a good sign.

Ummmmm no!!! I can’t even get through the whole video without getting pissed! He is not a doctor I would want and I have been going through infertility for 5 years. I have seen a lot of doctors. He didn’t even listen to your concerns. Im so sorry. I don’t know anything about tri care but I really want you to switch to a different clinic altogether. They are too all over the place, too laxed on your health and I for see problems down the road with time wasted. Ughhhhhh!!! I want to call and give them a piece of my mind for you!!!! Ok I’m going ti finish watching but I think you know what to do🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

I got angry with you. I've seen so many reproductive specialists and the only time I hated my doctor was when it was a male doctor. The generalized rushed care pissed me off too.

That generalized care plan is the pits I cannot stand it! I was so mad at feeling brushed off, dismissed, and disregarded. I've found a female doctor that comes highly recommended so hopefully I can get an appointment soon.
