You did a good job there pal. I washed for 20 years and your method is basically my SOP. One thing I will mention...if the homeowner is available have them open the garage door before you do your final spray. More times than not the surface cleaner will force dirty water under the garage door and leave a residue that is only visible to the homeowner once they open the garage door and you are gone. It's a good way to separate you from the other "professionals".
Good stuff!
Thanks!
What do you mean? Cheers
@@apollo1094 when you are using the surface cleaner the pressure from the water will remove dirt and gunk from the driveway and that residue will get pushed under the garage door and leave a stain when dried up
@@2ColdAC oh i see. So do you ask them to put the door up then wash?
Do you have to use chemicals or can you use just water
Wow a guy on youtube who is actually doing everything right and understands cleaning properties to the microscopic level. Integrity and professionalism, never saw this channel before and its nice to meet you!
Thanks Bro!
what do you do about the dirty water that sprays onto the clients property, ? did you spray that down too because it wasnt shown in your vid. apart from that great work and a great job.
I've probably seen 100 videos on surface cleaning and you're the only one who actually has a clue what you're doing, no wonder you have a successful business.
Sarah Cunninham Blake Overapray of dirty water may get on the porch or the garage door etc. and that just gets rinsed clean during the final rinse process. Anything delicate that shouldn’t have chemical or dirty water on it the customer is informed prior to the job it needs to be moved and stowed away.
Funny how you’re worried about getting stuff on the asphalt but you just striped the whole sidewalk/ driveway 🤦🏻♂️ never go in a straight line when power washing...
Photo thing with customer items is a really great idea. A lot of services just come through and don't really care. This is the type of thing that would completely win me over - do a little extra to respect the owner's property and belongings!
This man was definitely in the military, the jargon and everything. SOP, love it
Thank you for all of your videos and everyday encouragement. I'm starting out with Jim dubious this year because of your podcast. I never would have found him without watching your show.
I just want to thank you for posting these videos. Its very helpful to those of us that want to learn and get started in the business or just doing it for ourselves, friends and family. I appreciate people like you who take the time to share and teach when you don't have to.
Great tutorial. I'm not a professional but I do have a very large driveway and do my own cleaning. I love the way you always have your customers best interest in mind. Your sincerity in this comes across in your presentation. Part of the reason I do my own work is because it's so hard to find truly dedicated professionals who will treat your home like their own.
Every time I watch a video of yours I like before it begins due to the fact you give out such valuable information for free ! So thank you!
Just started a pressure business. These are really helpful and just wanted to say I am grateful to come across these.
In the middle of learning to start my own too i hope GOD blesses u and ur business 🙏🏽🙏🏽
How is it working for you so far?
I really appreciate you picking up the pressure hose instead going over it!!
Thank God you actually talk and explain what you are doing instead of stupid music.

Just started my own pressure washing business but boy am I happy to have come across this video. He showed me step by step with detailed and reasonable explanations on how to clean the driveway and sidewalk. Great advice and an awesome trainer! Thank you
How's your business going so far because I'm thinking the same to start my own side hustle. I've done a few gigs but nothing steady yet.

GREAT VIDEO BOBBY!!!🔥
Super helpful thank you!! Also I believe the quality and content of the video and its production is one of the best I have seen on RUclips. I like the no bullshit approach!
This is the best detail video !!!! I’m about to open a pressure washing pressure company this week. Thanks bro
I tried showing my boss this. We’re general contractors lol and he thinks it’s just a matter of pressure washing! Negative! Great video !
LOVE IT! That's on my list of things to create by the end of February are training videos. I love how you put this together - gives me a good template to steal I mean utilize.
It makes a HUGE DIFFERENCE!
This is fantastic thank you thank you! I jumped in head first, bought a rig and have 3 jobs lined up for this week. I'd love to see more of these videos because I've been struggling to find good solid documentation! Thank you so much for this share!
I’ve seen a lot of people do this procedure on video I really like the detail oriented step-by-step that you’re doing to let us know what other people are showing us getting into the weeds the procedure you’re doing a great job explaining that and keeping our interest
Amazing job mate. Love your work.
We are a commercial cleaning company here in Australia and that was very educational! 👍🏼
Awesome, thank you!
Wonderful to see a professional that takes pride in their work.
I really appreciate this. Soooo many others hate to help others for free. I also try share anything I know to anyone who wants to listen.
Thank you! I sell information products too but I always like to pay it forward as well.

Very informative and professional. Thanks for sharing
hi there man this is a GREAT video. thanks for doing it im just starting my business and my channel, so i'll be following you thank you
Great video, Bobby. Love that you covered PPE as well. So many people applying chem mixes with no protection respiratory protection on.
Great information Bobby. Thanks
Just purchased my washer this week. Brand new to this. This was very helpful. Thank you
How's it been going for you?
All this info for free thank sir your a god send. I’m getting started with my own little business
How are you marketing your company and I wonder if the cleaners use their own water or the clients water supply?
@@IAmMTG1 usually customers. If you’re doing off site with no water access you bill for the water + transport within your quote
Always amazing videos. I definitely would love to see more videos like this one. It helps out greatly for people that need the process of the actual cleaning explained a little bit more in depth. You should do a video for gutter whitening, oxidation, mixed chemical ratios, how to plumb the whole entire power washing system. These are just some of the things I have looked up in the past that are really hard to find any information on. Thanks again for a no bitch zone lol
Thanks Robert! I will be posting some more in the near future.
@@NBZ_Bobby That means a lot more to me then you can know. For your reply and of all the help that you give people such as myself. Like you say and some of your videos its easier for some people than others. Some people just need a little extra help to get that confidence that they already have but don't know. Thank you very much.
Great video. One thing I'd add is to tape the electrical outlets and bottom of the door. Definitely don't want to short out the box and keeping water intrusion to a minimum while spraying is appreciated. I also bring towels for the customer to put by their doors so they don't dirty theirs up and it provides extra protection. I hold the gun 90 degrees and several feet above the doors bottom when rinsing to prevent intrusion, but it happens a little sometimes.
I generally have a clause in the contract that customers have to move items before cleaning. Now if its an elderly person, I'll help them, its more of a CYA clause.
My buddy and I are actually thinking about starting up a power washing business. Thank you for sharing this video.
What is a solid good pressure washer(electric) to use for spraying driveways ?
15:50 nice bit of concrete blasted off the edge 😬
I saw that also. What is the reason for that? How do you explain that to the customer?
Here they talk about being all professional and then they chip the cement 😂
At 2:20 you can tell it's already busted off. That's not his fault
@@jaysonbohnert6373 I noticed that as well

Thanks for the video, I didn’t know about post treatment, it could save me a lot of time. But if you need to put a sealer at the driveway, you need to wait to get dried, and get the coat of sealer, or rinse before apply the sealer, and what do you recommend for a concrete added (little stones). Thank you.
Really good instruction. I just setting up my SE bizz and this was extremely helpful Thankyou.
Thanks for making this vid for us!! The uniform shirt creates a vibe of trust and professionalism as well.

Where can I find pre and post treatment chemicals? And, do I use the same solution for both?
Thanks!

I don't know what I watched this but now I'm an expert and on my way to get a surface washer for my driveway 😂
same.
they will leave stripes if you don't know how to use them
Best video I have seen about pressure washing. Great video!!
Awesome, thank you. Just on the patterns, from finishing concrete I learned to criss cross, left to right, up and down, and then your rinse will take care of the rest.
Awesome video man!! Two quick questions... Do you have to worry about the pre-treatment chemicals flowing into the grass after you hit it with the pressure washer? And how long after you use the post-treatment chemicals can you notice the overlapping lines completely dissapear?
No, the water is diluted by the pressure washer.
The lines are gone before we pull away. The bleach works fast.
I subscribed as soon as he said "Peace Out".
Thanks bro!😂
Great content Bobby.
I rented that wand and pressure washer for little less then $100 bucks did my deck, roof and pool patio totally worth it!!
this is great thank you, dont you have to recover chemical water from pre treat?
Legally I believe u do... But the clean water law may be different in different states
When you’re getting the hard to reach spots with the regular gun (yellow/green tip) do you use at a higher pressure than after when you’re just rinsing the excess dirty water off ?
Great video! Appreciate the knowledge
you make it look simple. great job. So pretty much pre-treatment, use surface cleaner, then use power washer to do edges, rinse and post treatment.
Great video on explaining how to use the chemical. Did you start off with the equipment that you currently have in this video or did you start off small and work your way up? Also, do you provide your own water supply for your jobs or do you use the clients water for the jobs?
Any advice that you provide is awesome keep up the great work. I am looking into starting my own pressure washing business. Mainly residential for now.
Did you start your bisuness?
Wouldn’t it be a good measure of precaution to wet down heavily all the edges of grass before you apply any chemicals ?
Good stuff, Bobby! Thanks for sharing.
You bet!
love your videos, they have been very informative and helpful.
What kind of chemicals are you using for the pre and post treatment? First time watching your videos. Great stuff!
I want to know as well.
I used to clean cement roofs and used this same method except the post treatment. This is to show that there is always something new to learn. I do have a question or suggestion, if you start cleaning from the bottom all the dirty water will go over what you already cleaned, maybe if you start at the top is easier to wash it off at the end. Thanks for the video, keep up the good work!
Hey man you're doing a great job !!
Outstanding video it's filled with great information. Thank you!!!
Great video thank you. Did you rinse the driveway after post treatment?
No
I never rinse after post treatment either. Just let the customers know not to walk on it until it dries.
More videos 🔥🔥🔥
Great detailed video! Kudos
Good tip on taking pics of where things were!
Absolute Legend! Some quick questions for you. How much would you consider someone charging for a driveway as you have just done? Not taking into consideration their location, ect. Also, did you or your son find the work took a lot of strength and stamina when you both started?
Probably target 0.20 per sqft on smaller flat work then charge lower if it's a huge property
We charge between $100-$115 for a driveway like that as long as we are doing other work at the same time.
What do you do for oil stains on driveway ?
Those boots are called bullfrog boots, you can buy them from shoes for crews website. I love them and have used them for over 10 years.
More great content from you guys. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks Brandon!
Where can I find pre and post treatment chemicals? And, do I use the same solution for both?
Thanks!
What brands work well?
SODIUM HYPOCHLORITE
Another channel I watch did the pressure washing in both directions to get rid of the lines from overlapping. Is that a good idea or a waste of time?
Whatever works best for you. Don’t overthink it. There is more than one good way.
@@NBZ_Bobby Cool. Thank you.
Good deal. Very professional. And informative.
Just starting a pressure washing business, with my friends hopefully we can apply this type of knowledge when we go to do customers houses, thank you for the information and steps.
Awesome job! Question. Haworth much did you charged to clean that driveway and did you provide the water? Thank you.
i think youd have to buy his course to gain access to info like that
5:48 to 6:05 if that’s the chemical solution, I find it hard to believe that none of the grass was exposed.
Needless to say, grass is a hardy plant... I’ve been using straight pool chlorine for years on my driveway and never had an issue killing the grass.
Drainage is another story though...
I always love when the company that is training me tells me not to do something then proceeds to do just that. “Trainee: You just told me to not spray the grass” “Trainer: right I didn’t spray the grass” “ Trainee: ok but some was getting on the grass” “Trainer: well you know what I mean, don’t be so literal” “ Trainee: you LITERALLY just told me not to get any on the grass!”
Yeah it really sucks when you have to blow your boss in order to get ahead in your career.
thank you for making this video and sharing the knowledge you have
Good stuff. Very helpful video sir 👍🏾
what are you using for a post treatment?? and what ratio??
He surely intentionally didnt tell us what chemical it is. He wants you to think you need to hire him to do it
😂
what's the percentage for post treatment?
1% Bleach 1% surfactant 1% water??
Do you have a recommendation on pre/post chemicals to purchase?
SH sodium hydrochloride
@@kylesanders851 where can I buy that and what proportions work best for flat concrete?
@@GoingOnGaming sh is at any pool supply place or Home Depot, it’s pool shock. Yeah it works on concrete to brighten it but theirs no 1 fits all concrete cleaned but 1 thing that’s worked on a lot of stuff for me is CLR from homes depot

Sorry to hear. Are you advising this because his head was exposed to the sun?
Jenny Titus yes. I’m 60 and I’m learning the hard way

varies from a 1% to a 5% depending on the job
@@NBZ_Bobby of what?

Love the room man!
Great video, very informative
If I was doing this driveway I would have started at the garage door and went across the drive going down the driveway so it would wash the dirt down as you go.
I would have put towels behind the door to catch the debris 4kPSI blows under a squished weatherstrip, but that's just me. I'm not a "professional".
We will wait for your expert video
Great video. I have a couple questions for you.
1) Do you connect your pressure washer to the clients water or do you have a reservoir in your truck?
2) Do you rinse off the post treatment after the few minutes it takes to eat the organic matter?
Thanks for another great video. Keep up the hard work.
As far as my research and the different videos and guys I looked at doing the job they've always used the customer's water , seems it's pretty much standard for you to use the customer's water I think most that will call you for a job would most likely know your using their water, and as far as the videos i seen on post treatment the guys never rinse afterwards, / pre treat, surface clean, rinse, post treat
@@lc8495 cheers man. I appreciate the confirmation

Wtf are you smoking?? Lol he literally didn’t trip on the hose...
Great video!
Thank you so much for this video ! Amazing
Is it necessary to pre/post treat every driveway or just the really dirty ones? Also, do you leave the post treat and go or do you rinse it before you leave?
It’s not necessary in all situations. Your mileage may vary. We do it almost every time but you will find what works best for you.

I had the same question lol. I was confused a little if u just kept the Chemicals on the driveway afterwards?
I, personally, pre and post treat EVERY concrete job I do. As Bobby has mentioned in the video, The solution will help kill off any organic spores that could remain and grow back faster vs having to grow from absolute zero. I feel like I provide more value for the customer also, by doing this. I'll still rinse off my post wash though. If i want the driveway a little lighter, I use a different, low concentration solution with a tad of brightened and let that dry.
If i'm sealing the concrete though, i wont post treat because I use entirely different chemicals and techniques to prep the concrete for. Just my 2 cent. Hope it helps.
Are we gonna gloss over the large chunk of concrete ripped up at 15:48 while wanding the front porch?
@Journeyofanentrepreneur how would you handle this issue with you customer?
This one was super simple. “ hey Mrs. Customer, you can see from the before photo that this concrete was already damaged. The piece blew out when we were cleaning it but I did put it back for you.”

Thanks!
@@reneaguirre9745 you bet!
