    Hey, I have advice for you that I just learned since I am going to start pressure washing. Understand the clean water act that the EPA enforces. If you are cleaning driveways, you are suppose to collect the water and redirect it so it does not reach the storm drain. The home owner is responsible technically to make sure that happens, but the last thing you want to do is get the home owner or yourself tagged with crazy massive fines(something like 50k per day of uncaptured contaminated water if I'm not mistaken). Most pressure washing small guys don't have the insurance to cover EPA fines. There are shop vacuums with built in water pumps to redirect water, they are affordable. You can use a thick garbage bag, place it over the storm drain and fill with water to prevent water from going in and then use the vacuum to suck it up and redirect it. It does not even matter if you use no cleaning agents, they consider the oil, rubber and dirt collection from vehicles as being a contaminate in itself. The EPA is also getting more vigorous in enforcing the clean water act, and they should. If put in the wrong storm drain and it going straight to a watershed, it'd be just like dumping chemicals directly into the watershed.

      I tried sealing after power washing the driveway, it did not help much as the water does not run off well so the sediments just stay there . I have to do it once a year to keep it nice looking.

    • @FrancisKoczur
      @FrancisKoczur 4 года назад +1

      @@locutus1126 Yes after the power washing.
      Any existing sealer would probably have been removed as well as most use an acrylic topical sealer that needs replaced after 2-5 years (it works fine though).
      I recommend a siliconate sealer that will bond to the concrete and last around 10 years and won't pressure wash away. For example, two coats of PS102 for a broom finished driveway will bead water.

    • @WeLikeSleep

But I'm gonna start advertising for the pw work and hire someone to operate that work and poo at them hourly or a fixed daily rate even if business is up or down just so I can keep a good worker around. But im so thankful that I was introduced to a surface cleaner because it is a tremendous help and time saver. One of my buddies who does pressure washing does one or two tops a day. Yo shout out to you bro I respect the grind and its always nice to see the youth with this kind of fervor and zest for life. And you are smart for not limiting your potential with labels. Be a jack of all trades kid.

    Justin, I have a question. I’m about to start a pressure washing company myself. Do you use the customer water spigot? Is that okay?
