In the early days of my channel, I did a few Mega Man X themes and they were an absolute blast to record. I slowed down on them as I branched out into different games, and it's been like four years since I've visited this soundtrack. It was high-time I delved into Armored Armadillo, one of the most intense songs from any Mega Man game!

Capcom was known for milking the HELL out of those 8 and 16 bit sound chips
pushing it to the limittt
Capcom songs were normally great in melody, but simple in the technical stuff. Their snes osts used bad samples, and their nes osts where pretty simple. Still good songs, but they definitively didn't milked the soundchips.
When programmers need to be creative with every bit of space they had.

One of the best osts of all time honestly. MM as a franchise is criminally underrated. Classic, X, and Legends don't get the respect they deserve for a lot of categories.
Maverick hunter X on the PSP was an amazing remake of MegaMan X. I wish they'd remake the rest of the games and give them some polish. Maybe even continue the X and Zero series.

I am 21 years old now, but Megaman X is one of the first video games I ever played. I can not describe how phenomenal it is to see such a great game getting discussed as recent as a month ago!

Im quite certain that this theme is living rent free inside the brains of the people who failed to get that damn hadouken over and over.

All of these statements are correct, I can attest to farming 1-Ups and attempting the Hadouken upgrade station.
@Sar It was an easter egg, intended to be difficult to find and somewhat counter-intuitive. It's super OP, but good luck pulling it off in any actual combat situation. I've beaten MMX dozens of times, and the only time I've managed to make that thing useful was the one time I managed to pull it off on Sigma's dog.

@@Qantravon I let out a huge sigh of relief when I got it off on the Bospider once. That was my least favorite boss of the game, haha. Sigma's dog was a good use for it too though.
Since he's came back there's just this renewed energy, the songs are so much better and really put you in this surreal state of awe
