      @@g60force Do you sculpt the pieces yourself before assembling them? Because that also makes a difference. She sculpted the Leviathan herself in 3D then printed it, and it was an original concept, and all of that matters when it comes to art because people will pay more for one of a kind items. Not to mention all the experience and skill it takes to get that kind of end result, working with resin is is difficult and also expensive. The fumes are toxic and the dust from sanding will damage your lungs, so you need safety equipment.
      At the end of the day though, what most people are paying for is her experience and skills. Anyone can pick up a pen and paper and draw lines on a paper, and yet people pay hundreds of dollars to have someone with more experience draw portraits of their loved ones. Hard work is not the only factor when it comes to pricing art.

      99% likely that it was a accident. Those teeth are a really good place for bubbles to form because of how complex it is. Doing that sort of thing intentionally is possible, but its fairly risky and its easy for the bubbles to stray or expand in ways that can crack the piece.

In photography, they talk about capturing the "decisive moment" and that is something you accomplish magnificently in your work. I note the theme of terror always lurking in the shadows or just beneath the surface, and I wonder, "What happened to you, to unlock such darkly beautiful imaginations from the recesses of your mind?"

      Put a little cotton or a sponge in there before you pour. It’ll hold air, and as the material soaks up the resin, it’ll release air bubbles.
      I don’t think they intentionally added those bubbles, but it adds a lot of fun detail

    • @ronaldbell7429
      @ronaldbell7429 2 года назад +2

      It's possible that the "accident" reply is actually correct. There was air in the mouth when they poured, and some of it may have leaked out. Which means if you make something similar yourself, you need to make sure you fill in the under-scales spaces before you pour, so as to avoid similar bubbles from there.

    The fact that we can see you sketching things out also adds to the video I have seen a lot of people who just go with things that tend to be quick and easy to do. ideas. Seeing the concept art adds to the video. I know it sounds weird to say this, it's just one of those things I enjoy. There are a lot of channels that just place things here or there without really explaining ideas.

    You by no means need my opinion on your work, but for what it's worth, this is mind blowing.
    I always think water scenes would look way more realistic with waves/rippels.
    This did not dissapoint

    • @Ale_giro

      liquid vax (a kind of)

    The way she draws/paints a picture of the beast first,then scans into the computer, before adding further details,is fascinating. Also that she diluted some of the paint ,before applying it to plastic of the printed beast,so that the patterning of it's skin is more naturally random, is so like a water colour technique (l would guess she trained in water colour, and it feeds into this ?!)
    The more l learn in/of Art,the more l realise how much overlap there is .

    Quick question, I'm curious, how do you stop the resin from leaving bubbles when you pour it?
