I'm dying, the otamatone and harp combo are a beautiful combination that I have never heard before and is joyous for this theme haha. Well done by both of you!
Thanks so much! I had so much fun creating this with Nicole, I was so excited when she agreed to the shenanigans I had a stupid smile on my face all day while working on it. :)
So moving! It takes everything I have to hold back the tears! 😂 Terrific choice for this fine April morn, Shea and Nicole! You masterfully expressed every nuance of this piece.
I try to use most of the right notes and not as many of the wrong notes, but let me tell you they put way more wrong notes on this instrument than right notes!! 😂
This is absolutely gorgeous, amazing job. I've never heard this song sung so beautifully before 😭. I missed this on April Fools, so I didn't have my guard up when the Otamatones came in 😆. Amazing job 10/10
I tried really hard to make the actual joke listenable, but I wanted to keep the pretense going up until the opening otamatone aria ;) Glad you liked it!
And I thought your skills on string instruments were stunning, damn, I didn't know that you play the Otamatone that well. What would the world be without this masterpiece of an arrangement?
This will be my second year playing it. I got it for my video one year ago to the day. I'm shocked how much better at it I got in a year, and this year's video was waaaay less of a struggle than last year haha
Ngl, I thought the blurred frame right at the beginning was you, but it was Nicole Chang. Also, I really love how you blended the Otomatone with the Harp, as I think that makes the harmonies really shine. Otherwise, a very stooky arrangement as usual
an annual tradition that must go on forever Aerith's theme always bugged me because the opening notes troll me into thinking the opera house song from FFVI is playing
It will take some serious planning or inspiration to outdo this one imo 😂 though every year I get better at otamatone. This was actually the second recorded take and I got the whole song with no cuts for the lead
@SheaViolin You're welcome! It was funny to see the polar opposites in seriousness with the harp, to the humorous style with other instrument. It definitely was a surprise, and a pleasant one at that. 😁
Never give in and never give less than 100% to the bit!
Always in search of true beauty, I may have finally approached it!
Truly moving. I cried
So much passion omg
You were going to be my second call for this if Nicole didn't jump at the opportunity to be part of this. Thank you Annalisa!! ☺️
I would never put anything less than all my expressive ability into my art!
@@SheaViolin If you two are taking requests, I'd like to hear a otamatone/piano arrangement of Gourmet Race! 😛
I am so happy to have been part of such beautiful, truly incredible art. 🥰
You did incredible work for this very serious thing. Such professionalism and poise!! 💜 THANK YOU!
Y’all, that was a masterpiece. 🥹🎵
I have never heard something like this in my life! And now I have!! Truly unbelievable.
It's special, for sure hehe 😁

@SheaViolin Haha! That's one of the best parts of making and enjoying music, is when it brings a meme smile to everyone!
Absolutely!
That was definitely something, I take off my hat to you 😊🎩
Definitely one of my covers of all time. ;)
@@SheaViolin sure thing! 😅
The otamatone hit me like a TRUCK haha - great job you both!
Thanks Sean!! I'm glad it had the desired effect haha

Awwww thanks so much Thomas!
Oh, when the harmony came in!
Glad you liked it! 😁
Some of the finest Otamatone harmonies I've ever heard. Truly spectacular
I try to use most of the right notes and not as many of the wrong notes, but let me tell you they put way more wrong notes on this instrument than right notes!! 😂
Your instrumentation is just perfect for this song, it feels like the scene of an anime movie
I've never had it described quite like that before! Thank you!
Such a fitting cover of such an emotional moment. Thank you for your contribution. 🙏
You're welcome! 😁
Suddenly all the erhu practice is worth it!
Your proficiency with the otomatone is equally impressive and terrifying. This is an amazing cover.
Hahaha 🤣 I've never had a musical skill described as terrifying before, and makes me giggle. Thanks Siolfor!!
The Aerith cover the world didn't know it needed.
Need is a strong word for this 😂 I'm glad you liked it though!!
A masterpiece.
Clearly, my accomplishment of all time.

i can't remember the last time an otamatone moved me this much emotionally, well done to the both of you!
😂 I'm so glad!!

Hah! Oh my God, Shea, what have you done!?
Only lovingly applying my years of musical experience to create beautiful art! Thank you!
I don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't that... 😆
No one expects the Spanish inquisition!
XD I admit, you got me with this one -- I didn't read the full video description, so I burst out laughing when the Otamatone entered.
Yesss!
I was like "Okay, showing the harp first is a good move to hide the actual joke" and here we are xD Good one! :D

Magnificent 🥰
Thanks Roph!!
01:48 - one singer falls down the stairs, but recovers well at the end!
As only a professional can pull off with such grace!
i would like to propose that every April 1 is National Otomatome Day
I'd do it more often, but I don't know that my audience would tolerate so much silly 😂

In my wildest dreams, I can play harp like she can. ;) Thanks so much!

Yay! Thank you so much!
The formal ware sells it… I want to put a note tie on your instrument, Shea…. 😂😂
😂 I'm so glad you liked it! Hope today goes a little better for you!
I love it even tho it kind of hurts my ears
😂
it sure was one of the Aerith's themes of all time
Only the finest fresh-squeezed notes for your listening enjoymentation.

The otamatone sings to me. I am moved
It speaks directly to the soul
I am crying. Not for the obvious reasons 😂

Love this ridiculousness
Thank you!!
👏👏😭
