The song was written by the guitarist about one of his grandparents who passed away, if I'm not mistaken. It's a great song, and the video is amazing
You’re thinking of the band version, yep it’s at the end of the album. They always do the band version at concerts
The label forced them to put this version on the main album, which is a rougher demo that the band had strongly disliked. The version released as a single was actually intended to be on the album to begin with.
This song----this VERSION---always, inevitably, moves me to tears. It is one of Evanescence's BEST songs. I feel the "band" version weakened it a bit, however...
