    The Z50 did a lovely job with switching focus.

    Im a Z6 user and I’m very satisfied with the results I get, stills and video, for nature shooting. I want to be enthusiastic about the Z50 but I can’t get comfortable with the lack of IBIS. The Z6 has superb industry leading IBIS and produces great video hand held, in part because of the IBIS. With the Z50 using Z lenses there is no stabilization, neither in the camera nor in the lenses. Not sure how this will work out for many seasoned video users who are looking for a compact camera

      The two DX Z lenses do have image stabilisation

      yeahhh...This is what's keeping me from buying a z50. Seems smarter to save up and break the bank for that IBIS.

    Thanks for a short review. Z50 seems to be quite capable camera in its price range.

      Hi, it is indeed very capable, I have only had it since last Friday, but I am very impressed. I also have the Canon M6 markII which I also like, but the Nikon handles better, in my opinion but the Canon has 32MP, the Nikon has 20MP. As yet I cannot say in real terms if I will be able notice a difference between the 2.

    Thank You for both of the reviews of the Z50,,,I have enjoyed your other videos also !!! The Z50 appears to focus on you very well... is sharp.. I view on a 43" monitor... I am sorry to hear that there is no IBIS on the camera, But I like My D5600 and it has no IBIS.... THANK YOU Again :) JOHN (from across the Pond)

    thanks for the effort and the sharing. i was impressed by the z50 vid footage you posted, even if "only" 8bit. per chance do you know if that 8bit is 422 or 420? thumbs up.

    I would have been interested in seeing them physically side by side , I was going to buy a z50 then found a mint used z5 , I’m not sure I made the right decision, for travel I think the 50 may have been the better option and I would have got the extra focal length also from the crop sensor

    I've seen your z50 specific videos and all was very informative, I also think the other guy blaming lenses will get bad results on different camera bodies is just rubbish🤭, what does lenses have to anything to do with it-sole purpose of lenses is to pass light through it that's it, anyway waiting for the proper review of z50🤗😊

    That Canon shooting the wider view definitely has more yellow in it - the famous Canon yellow look that some seem to like. Both the Z's look good - very natural. What white balance setting did you use? I like your channel, but can you please update your intro like you suggested you would?

    • @AvpStudios
      @AvpStudios  4 года назад

      Hi. I used auto WB on all 3 cameras with no post colour correcting. I agree, the Canon is more yellow which I am not a fan of, I prefer the Nikon look. I will be updating the intro soon. Thanks for your feedback, appreciated.

    Can you kindly make another short video of same combination of cameras & lenses but rather than having Z6 on DX mode, let it be on FX mode with 50mm & keep the tripod on same spot but swap cameras so that we could notice the crop factor as you had Full frame lens on APSC camera? other than that its an amazing video, thanks :)

    Great video! I use my z6 with 35mm for my in home RUclips videos. I'm saving up for the z 24-200 for travel photography and vlog. What do you think of the 24-200? I also shoot wildlife and use the sigma 150-600. Hopefully one day I'll be able to get the z 200-600 when they make it and I have enough money 😂.

    Hi Bob thanks for the video on the Z50, very informative indeed. Can I ask where you ordered your Z50 from? I have one pre-ordered from a shop in North Wales and there's no sign of it arriving yet...

      I got mine from Wex Photo Video and it was delivered last Friday.

      Ok thanks Bob, they must be distributing to the bigger outlets first so I'm hopeful for the end of this week 🤞👍

      I ordered mine from WEX (body + adapter) on 24/10. There’s no sign of it yet, and no ETA of any from Nikon to WEX @ 12.11.19 when I checked today.

      Tim Slater same for me, they were due to be shipped on the 7th, I called for an update on Saturday and they said at least another week..! 🤨

      I placed the order on Friday and received it on Saturday morning from John Lewis. I bought the 16-50mm plus FTZ adapter. If you want the 50-200 then those are out of stock pretty much everywhere except Amazon.

    Does the z50 have clean HDMI out? Thank you for doing videos on the z50, it is hard to find anything on the camera.

    • @AvpStudios
      @AvpStudios  4 года назад +1

      Hi, provided the camera is in video mode the HDMI is clean and will output 4k to an external recorder such as the Atomos Ninja V etc but in all the other modes the camera will not send a clean output. I hope this helps.

    • @jamesryan1939
      @jamesryan1939 4 года назад

      @@AvpStudios it does, I was waiting to confirm before I ordered. Thanks! I want a full backup to my z6.

    • @jamesryan1939
      @jamesryan1939 4 года назад

      @@AvpStudios I apologize for all the questions, is the HDMI out only 8 bit or 10bit like the z6? If it is 10 bit, does it have nlog?

    • @AvpStudios
      @AvpStudios  4 года назад +1

      @@jamesryan1939 Its only 8 bit with no N log but I have found during the limited tests I have done that the 8bit output is very good, recording to the Ninja V. If you plan to do blue or green screen the extra bit depth will be useful, I will be testing how good the 8bit output is when I setup my green screen studio in the next few weeks. Also, the HDMI port on the Z50 is a micro one, the Z6 is a mini port.

      Avp Studios thank you again! Information on the z50 is hard to find. Can’t wait till mine arrives. I agree 8-bit is no issue, my z6 is my main camera this will just be a backup and second cam for shoots.
