Haha! I know just how you feel! Knitting was hard for me as well. I worked for a year to get my knitting skills up to be able to knit toys! So glad I did!! 🐸
Madame LPS, thanks so much for your post. I have been in love with this project for months. Due to another ongoing and large committment to a baby blanket, I could put it aside. Well, the day came when the baby blanket was done, I tried a few small washclothes for practice, finished a scarf for my daughter, and at last, I could no longer deny Frog and Toad! I am new to knitting, just about a year and a half in now...and was overwhelmed by the challenge of a project recommended for a more advanced knitter. But, as we all know, the only way to gain skills is to try something more difficult. Usually, I think we fall in love with a product and the drive to make it gives us the courage to face the challenges. Seeing your final project has given me courage (I'm only on the head of my first creation; I decided to start with Frog) and your willingness to share your successes AND fails is inspiring me. Great videos, keep up the inspiring work. Much love and happy creating to you and yours...Danette
Thank you so much, Danette! That is exactly how I learned to knit the Little 🐰🐰Cotton Rabbits. I wasn't ready for my first bunny, but I dove in head first and learned on the go. Felt that way about Frog and Toad as well. Hope you end up loving your amphibious new friends! 💚💚
Your commentary while pinning the frogs down was so funny! It transported me back to high school biology class, too. I believe the improvised crochet eyes turned out more nicely than in the original knit pattern. This really was such a fun video!
Haha!!! I'm glad you found it funny, not disturbing, lol! I don't think I've thought about high school biology in years, until I was pinning the frog down! Couldn't help but think of it that way!!!
