My district switched from Wednesday-Friday off to the full week off for Thanksgiving! So, I definitely relate to your excitement so much because those 2 extra days off made such a difference! Hope you had a refreshing break! :)

I think it's wonderful that you have a classroom library as a Math/Science teacher!

Do you not do class jobs anymore? I feel like you used to talk about them a lot but don't much this year. Maybe it's not part of your school's culture?

Why don't turkeys deserve the same compassion and respect as other animals, such as dogs? Would you wear a headless, skinned dog hat? I am sorry, but I find it weird to have a laugh at animals that were once living, breathing, innocent creatures. Each year, around 46 million turkeys are slaughtered for the Thanksgiving holiday. The only thing they have, their life, is taken away from them. Teachers are supposed to model kindness. This is just a glaring example of cognitive dissonance. Makes me so sad.
