Yo!! Watching your newest release (as of this post) on 07-24-2024 when it was YANKED-down not even halfway through the ~8min video... It was JUST as y'all were talking about "Australia and Canada" and the "men" not being "Men" there. How they are afraid of their own "government". I couldn't concur more. Canada AND Australia could BOTH be considered "China CCP Lt." really. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) does have a VERY strong foothold in Canada, this I am totally aware of. But while looking into this "phenomenon", Australia seems to follow CLOSELY behind Canada, in this regard. Will! I have watched all your videos back to the RV days. Test a Lithionics battery! They are like the Victron of batteries. They also build them for the military and would probably just send you one to prove their claims. I bought a LiTime off your affiliate link because of your recommendation 6 months ago and it still works great. Keep up the great work.

Eco worthy reviews buuuuddy I got a deal on 280ah 12v batteries (lithium ion with a 250bms) you're always testing new improved items but not once Eco worthy items so for your people who are low income or starting simple and cheaper system why not test Eco worthy? When you can purchase a 4X pack of 280ah 12v batteries for under 1800 bucks....n even cheaper when holidays sale's (as I did extra 20%off) this is definitely a great idea for you willprowse.... I would have no qualms starting my diesel sailboat boat motor. I'd really love to see you testing starting engines with this. I think that's really one of the largest applications where everyone is still using lead acid and so I'd guess that's a lot of what they're targeting.
The BMS is likely cutting off due to temp of the MOSFETS and will try to turn back on based on temps dropping. Notice that when you let it cool before the 500amp test it actually ran longer then the previous ~300amp test that was back to back. Makes sense- make the BMS cutoff based on the actual potential issue: overheating. Instead of being based on a fixed time interval.
Love the work you do on your videos. When you’re running batteries in a series like that you do charge them individually they make 3 or 4 or 5 bank chargers, just for that
LiTime/Redodo/PowerQueen honestly set the bar for budget brands that want to earn the build quality seal of approval. Sometimes lacking in features when you are talking about their cheapest priced batteries but at the end of the day they've consistently used new prismatic cells from known manufacturers. The spread of JBD-like private label BMS's is very encouraging too since its damn near impossible to find a JBD that's failed.
@@Krunch2020 Yes, I spent some time researching the owners because the products lineups are identical. I found two owners that seem to be a part of all 3 brands. Its possible that one of them might have full ownership of one brand on their own, I can't remember specifics. If you do a little Googling using info on their About Us or Our Story pages on their websites it'll give you the names of the owners. My best guess is they are using the 3 names because the market is crowded with a couple hundred well known names in the 12V 100Ah and above market so if you have 3 people won't really notice that they are the same and if 2 of them do great then you could fold the third one or whatever. It pennies in extra costs to have 3 different brand labels...they put out a good quality product from the start so all 3 brands got known for being what I would call Top 10 or Top 5 Budget Brands. And still to this day they offer very competitive pricing with a pretty diverse lineup from trolling motors, to technology filled batteries, and massive 460Ah 12V's. Pretty slick marketing idea if you ask me. The market 3+ years ago was such a shitshow of poor quality batteries that they probably figured even if they put out average batteries one bad PR incident could sink a brand so they did 3.
If you want to get the more surg output, you could put supercapacitors on the output side of your battery. Then it doesn't matter as much what your battery surg is. The issue is that these are used for automotive audio and are usually overpriced. You would need to calculate the price on using cheaper batteries with less serg output + supercapacitors. I think going for a high voltage (48v) system would be more cost effective. Pulling from four 12v batteries in parallel puts less (1/4) demand on each individual battery. The rest of the system would have to be 48v, though.
Timely review for me. I am about to replace the house batteries for my camper. The change from Lead Acid to Lifepo4 has been in the books for quite a while, actually long overdue. I was doing a comparison of what is available here near me, saw the LiTime battery and thought, I should check to see if you had reviewed them, and voila! Thanks for the very useful reviews
These are getting pushed for boaters. ABYC has recommended Bluetooth on Lipo, So many boaters switching to lithium now in their house banks. I am one of them. Our systems in the US mainly run on 12v. I have 3 12v litime in parallel for my house bank. Reason space! These have worked flawlessly. I actually went with your recommendation. Why buy battle born? For 3 it was less than 1 battleborn. I wanted the 12v 420ah but could not fit on my sailboat.
Add a communication port to connect multple batteries' BMS to each other when in a series configuration, so the seperate management systems can work together.
These would be good for a washer and dryer in an off grid Environment is what I surmise where I could utilize the higher current, any more ideas? I guess a bigger oven or toaster as well… I got a bunch of the new Bluetooth ones and they are great. I did complain about the sign in feature, though, as you have in another video, but they seem reluctant to change it
I would like to see the case just a bit larger than the battery - so smaller than they are now. I understand they want them to be "drop ins" but for a RV or boat space is limited...
The vast majority of cheap LiFePO4 battery "manufacturers" are just using AGM battery cases that they can buy in bulk dirt cheap. Having cases made to fit the variety of cell sizes+BMS's would probably quadruple their cost on that end and with the market nosediving to $200 12V 100Ah LFP batteries I just don't see many of them doing it.
@WillProwse You should make a video and see if this battery can stick weld directly with battery and hopefully not mess the bms up. This would be great for people needing to weld where electricity isn't close or available. HOPE TO SEE THE VIDEO SOON.
I bought 2 of these a week ago (the lessor 12v 100ah non BT version for $250 on Amazon) based on Will's previous reviews of Litime batterys in general. ( Did not think to use your affiliate link, promise to going forward) Thus far they are working great in series running my 24v trolling motor on my bass boat. Just wish they would listen to Will and pronounce it Lee Time instead of Lie Time as its uncomfortable telling my buddy's what I'm running in the boat, lol. Otherwise great product, very well packaged.
Great review! It would add quite a bit of work in the reviews but I would like to see some pressure on manufacturers to make their "smart" features compatible with HomeAssistant off-grid no Internet connection. I consider any smart feature to be dumb and anti-consumer if I have to sign in or connect to the Internet or download some proprietary phone app to use it. Manufacturers are including these features whether you find them useful or not and it would be better to qualify that these features at least are working in a manner that respects us not just as casting a net to hoover up data or be poorly implemented.
0802’24/2144h 🇺🇸 Thank you for the presentation. Well described, as always. There was no mention about the BMS that’s used. There was a small mention of blinking light. By that, I assume it’s a JBD system. Newer JBDs have embedded Bluetooth in the BMS and I assume the blinking blue LED denotes a built-in BT. Recently I bought 3 JBDs to replace 3 from the old system. The BT from the old JBD BMS were plugged in the new JBDs, because it had the slot to plug-in external BT. Upon starting the power, to my astonishment I viewed 6 BT readings all functioning similarly. After removing the external BT dongles the BT display came down to 3. This is how I found out newer JBDs has built in BT. There was no data from JBD about this. Food for thought, for you. Thanks.

I love the way Will always states "In my opinion". This is PERFECT for stopping trolls dead in their tracks. They've either got to come up with an opinion of their own backed up by some type of factual evidence or scientific proof, or just say "well, your opinion sucks", and we all know how folks are gonna let 'em get away with that on here... 😂
Not sure about the newest traditional trolling motor designs , but while the older ones will work on on lithium with its higher voltages during sustained operation , the motor manufacturers caution against using the motors on their highest settings for sustained periods when using lithium batteries . Since the motors were designed for lead acid batteries and the voltage drop inherent to that chemistry , they claim the motors may be damaged by the higher voltages of lithium cells under heavy load and sustained use . Not sure how true that is really , but probably more of a problem with larger / heavier vessels or operation in thick weeds brush where you can put a LOT of load on them . Just something to be aware of . I have one of the old style LT TM batteries , but haven't been able to get my boat in the water this year . So can't really say how well it works . Maybe somebody can rig up some trolling motors in a tank and compare performance ( and any issues ) , side by side with the different chemistries ? Be a big PIA but you would think SOMEBODY would go for it just to unmuddy the waters so to speak .
The newer higher end units are brushless and have no issues running sustained. The biggest concern is to ensure that you are running the correct gauge wire from the battery to the trolling motor and have the appropriate size breaker. Most new wiring in most of the boats are 6ga with a 60a breaker and are either 24 or 36v setups in most current bassboats.
Please cite a manufacturer making such a statement....What Will said is exactly right. Maintaining a higher voltage means less amps will be pulled to generate the same kW power output which is LESS heat.
You can bring that battery up to temperature safe for charging so quickly by putting a load on it. You would almost never need a heater on it unless you store it in the cold while depleted.
Cold weather protection is for automated charging setups like solar panels. If you are manually charging your batteries or keep them in a warm location you may not need cold weather protection.
I debated which way to go for my travel trailer, but using a li time heated battery made for a much cleaner installation than trying to insulate the battery inside the trailer. After spending a year living out of my trailer on a job site, where it would get below freezing during the day, it seemed better to take the easy route that I know will work and be safe for the battery. Space is limited and I installed the battery under my couch instead of outside where the originals were. Hopefully, the heat won't be needed but it is an option. A single 200ah battery is working but I may add a second one, so it isn't a huge price difference. A larger bank for a home would be a different story.
I just bought one because of this video, the 300 amp surge will,allow me to have only one battery at my well pump instead of two redodo and. Other ones.
Will Prowse, I like your videos I think you do a very good job, but in my opinion you really should first test the batteries and then only open them in the end, because by testing them outside of their "boxes" you are providing them a little bit more cooling, which is an advantage that those batteries don't have in real life conditions.

Have you seen any batteries with heatsinks for the cells? I'd be curious to see how much passive cooling would help. It would also be cool to sandwich water cooled heatsinks between cells for high-performance applications, especially for something like a boat.
LFP cells should not heat up past 45 Celsius if at ambient 25 Celsius.....only power cells that are doing 5C+ might get towards 60 Celsius...its really a non issue for the VAST majority of applications.

I ordered two 230 Ah on July 16th, the first day of prime days. $957.70. I still don't have any batteries! Just tracking numbers that say they haven't been picked up from the warehhouse. Customer support says they re-issued the order in the early morning hours of the 23rd. 48 hours later my order is still in the warehouse! I'd really like to have these batteries! It's a great deal! I'm afraid I'll never get them though! Help LiTime!!!
Very interesting. Thanks. As you have done a lot of 48V and now 12V, do you ever plan on hitting up 24V? I have found 24V interesting for a long time and it has gotten more interesting due to it being used more and so there is more stuff out for it. To point out some of my findings: 1. USB charger / power supply on 24V DC input - Super efficient, especially for USB-C PD power. My USB charger with PD barely warms up at all while powering and charging my laptop computer. Super efficient. Compact. Cheap. Versatile. That DC-DC buck conversion from ~26.5V to 20V for PD is definitely far more efficient than going through a 120V AC inverter with its own parasitic draw to a cheeped out power brick rated for my laptop that wastes power like mad and then back to ~20V DC. I mean you are talking about ~97% efficient versus

What about running these batteries without the cases? Is there an advantage for heating and/or cooling? Fans to pump air for air cooling? I have, I believe, an excess of heating available in my bus. Some sort of metal box, heated, cooled, with rain/water protection? Yes this is kind of an “out there” hypothetical question.
Battery companies have started laying off people in their R&D Departments. They just send their products to Will, then re-design based on his recommendations. 🤣😂⚡️👍☀️
As he mentioned the good and bad points, I imagined a person at Li Time taking notes to figure out what exactly they had to do to meet his "specs" or "standards." He is a good sales person for them and a good quality inspector for us, the customer. The R and D are probably just figuring out how to hit the benchmarks while keeping the costs low.
I want to convert a 18’x8.5’ cargo trailer into a full time camper and travel the western US and live off grid. If it’s not too much trouble, what type of setup would you recommend? I’m a newbie and stumbled upon your channel trying to find information on basic electronics and solar. I don’t know squat. Gonna need to power a fridge, lights, some kind of portable stove, 12000 btu mini split and probably a few other items. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Btw great channel!! It all "looks good" will but with this one & others I am concerned that 3C / 5C etc discharge is neither wise or safe unless the specific cells are actually rated accordingly. LFP i A-Typically 1C Discharge & 0.5C Charge with limited surge capability, but to actually "dip into" that, I have to Pause on that one. It would be ideal if you could look up the actual cells and get the specs for them, might be surprising end enlightening.

I use batteries in a different setting than solar. I use trolling motors for kayaks. Many are 24, 36v as well as 12v. Do you have a recommendation for an adjustable amperage charger in both DC to DC and AC to DC charging? As well as an adjustable voltage charging 12, 24, and 36 v in both DC to DC and AC to DC. Might I also suggest you make videos that take into account the needs of us kayak anglers and angler in general that utilize these batteries for trolling motors and electronics. Thanks! Great review.
A trolling motor on a kayak sounds interesting. My uncle has a small aluminum fishing boat, but that is no good with having to tow a travel trailer. A kayak could go on a rack in my truck. I have a float tube but have only used it once or twice as I'm not such a fan of having to sit in the water with waders and be stuck with only my own body to move across a lake. I just upgraded my trailer to a li time battery, did a trip with it, and then ordered solar panels.
@@CGT80 lots of options out there. Some are diy some are premade. But you need to make sure you have the right kayak. Do your research on type of kayak you want. Look at bonafide,wilderness systems,old town, Jackson, Hobie to name a few. Then the major brands of kayak specific motors are made by bixpy, Newport NK series, motorguide xi3 and torqueedo. I have an old town 120 PDL that I put an nk300 on. I can get to 6 mph.

Great videos. Will I have Victron battery shunt monitor nd I can see my battery status via my iPhone app using bluetooth. Blue tooth is only good for about 50 feet. Is there a monitor out there that is wifi that will connect to my T-Mobile Gateway network in my RV so I can access my battery status from home? My RV is 5 miles away in storage and I hate going there once or twice a week to check the battery status. I know Victron has a Cerbo GX wifi device to do this but they are over $200. There' got to be a device to can access remotely via wifi. My RV has 120v power and Internet wifi.

I don't like growatts because they are difficult to make safe because their manuals are confusing or inaccurate. And it depends on model and configuration and environment you are installing in
Question on these being the max input charging is 100amp. Does the bms limit/cap that or do you need to somehow limit it yourself with a regulator between the battery and alternator? My alternator is 150amp.

They also build them for the military and would probably just send you one to prove their claims. I would have no qualms starting my diesel sailboat boat motor. I'd really love to see you testing starting engines with this. I think that's really one of the largest applications where everyone is still using lead acid and so I'd guess that's a lot of what they're targeting.

Whenever you are doing High amperage tests a thermal imaging camera is very informative. You can see which connections are heating up.
The BMS is likely cutting off due to temp of the MOSFETS and will try to turn back on based on temps dropping. Notice that when you let it cool before the 500amp test it actually ran longer then the previous ~300amp test that was back to back.
Makes sense- make the BMS cutoff based on the actual potential issue: overheating. Instead of being based on a fixed time interval.

LiTime/Redodo/PowerQueen honestly set the bar for budget brands that want to earn the build quality seal of approval. Sometimes lacking in features when you are talking about their cheapest priced batteries but at the end of the day they've consistently used new prismatic cells from known manufacturers. The spread of JBD-like private label BMS's is very encouraging too since its damn near impossible to find a JBD that's failed.

@@Krunch2020 Yes, I spent some time researching the owners because the products lineups are identical. I found two owners that seem to be a part of all 3 brands. Its possible that one of them might have full ownership of one brand on their own, I can't remember specifics. If you do a little Googling using info on their About Us or Our Story pages on their websites it'll give you the names of the owners.
My best guess is they are using the 3 names because the market is crowded with a couple hundred well known names in the 12V 100Ah and above market so if you have 3 people won't really notice that they are the same and if 2 of them do great then you could fold the third one or whatever. It pennies in extra costs to have 3 different brand labels...they put out a good quality product from the start so all 3 brands got known for being what I would call Top 10 or Top 5 Budget Brands. And still to this day they offer very competitive pricing with a pretty diverse lineup from trolling motors, to technology filled batteries, and massive 460Ah 12V's.
Pretty slick marketing idea if you ask me. The market 3+ years ago was such a shitshow of poor quality batteries that they probably figured even if they put out average batteries one bad PR incident could sink a brand so they did 3.
If you want to get the more surg output, you could put supercapacitors on the output side of your battery. Then it doesn't matter as much what your battery surg is. The issue is that these are used for automotive audio and are usually overpriced. You would need to calculate the price on using cheaper batteries with less serg output + supercapacitors.
I think going for a high voltage (48v) system would be more cost effective. Pulling from four 12v batteries in parallel puts less (1/4) demand on each individual battery. The rest of the system would have to be 48v, though.
Timely review for me. I am about to replace the house batteries for my camper. The change from Lead Acid to Lifepo4 has been in the books for quite a while, actually long overdue. I was doing a comparison of what is available here near me, saw the LiTime battery and thought, I should check to see if you had reviewed them, and voila! Thanks for the very useful reviews
These are getting pushed for boaters. ABYC has recommended Bluetooth on Lipo, So many boaters switching to lithium now in their house banks. I am one of them. Our systems in the US mainly run on 12v. I have 3 12v litime in parallel for my house bank. Reason space! These have worked flawlessly. I actually went with your recommendation. Why buy battle born? For 3 it was less than 1 battleborn. I wanted the 12v 420ah but could not fit on my sailboat.
Add a communication port to connect multple batteries' BMS to each other when in a series configuration, so the seperate management systems can work together.
These would be good for a washer and dryer in an off grid Environment is what I surmise where I could utilize the higher current, any more ideas? I guess a bigger oven or toaster as well… I got a bunch of the new Bluetooth ones and they are great. I did complain about the sign in feature, though, as you have in another video, but they seem reluctant to change it
I would like to see the case just a bit larger than the battery - so smaller than they are now. I understand they want them to be "drop ins" but for a RV or boat space is limited...
The vast majority of cheap LiFePO4 battery "manufacturers" are just using AGM battery cases that they can buy in bulk dirt cheap. Having cases made to fit the variety of cell sizes+BMS's would probably quadruple their cost on that end and with the market nosediving to $200 12V 100Ah LFP batteries I just don't see many of them doing it.
@WillProwse You should make a video and see if this battery can stick weld directly with battery and hopefully not mess the bms up. This would be great for people needing to weld where electricity isn't close or available. HOPE TO SEE THE VIDEO SOON.

The foam is cut away from the relief valve, but the foam is glued to the side. It appears to be no path to vent the cell (into the case).
I bought 2 of these a week ago (the lessor 12v 100ah non BT version for $250 on Amazon) based on Will's previous reviews of Litime batterys in general. ( Did not think to use your affiliate link, promise to going forward) Thus far they are working great in series running my 24v trolling motor on my bass boat. Just wish they would listen to Will and pronounce it Lee Time instead of Lie Time as its uncomfortable telling my buddy's what I'm running in the boat, lol. Otherwise great product, very well packaged.
Great review! It would add quite a bit of work in the reviews but I would like to see some pressure on manufacturers to make their "smart" features compatible with HomeAssistant off-grid no Internet connection. I consider any smart feature to be dumb and anti-consumer if I have to sign in or connect to the Internet or download some proprietary phone app to use it. Manufacturers are including these features whether you find them useful or not and it would be better to qualify that these features at least are working in a manner that respects us not just as casting a net to hoover up data or be poorly implemented.

By that, I assume it’s a JBD system. Newer JBDs have embedded Bluetooth in the BMS and I assume the blinking blue LED denotes a built-in BT. Recently I bought 3 JBDs to replace 3 from the old system. The BT from the old JBD BMS were plugged in the new JBDs, because it had the slot to plug-in external BT. Upon starting the power, to my astonishment I viewed 6 BT readings all functioning similarly. After removing the external BT dongles the BT display came down to 3. This is how I found out newer JBDs has built in BT. There was no data from JBD about this. Food for thought, for you. Thanks.

I have a Goal Zero 1250 and the battery has to be replaced. It’s a 100 amp hour lead battery. Is it possible to replace it with a lithium battery?
Not sure about the newest traditional trolling motor designs , but while the older ones will work on on lithium with its higher voltages during sustained operation , the motor manufacturers caution against using the motors on their highest settings for sustained periods when using lithium batteries .
Since the motors were designed for lead acid batteries and the voltage drop inherent to that chemistry , they claim the motors may be damaged by the higher voltages of lithium cells under heavy load and sustained use .
Not sure how true that is really , but probably more of a problem with larger / heavier vessels or operation in thick weeds brush where you can put a LOT of load on them .
Just something to be aware of . I have one of the old style LT TM batteries , but haven't been able to get my boat in the water this year . So can't really say how well it works .
Maybe somebody can rig up some trolling motors in a tank and compare performance ( and any issues ) , side by side with the different chemistries ?

They have a flat discharge curve but they're not at a high voltage at all.
The newer higher end units are brushless and have no issues running sustained. The biggest concern is to ensure that you are running the correct gauge wire from the battery to the trolling motor and have the appropriate size breaker. Most new wiring in most of the boats are 6ga with a 60a breaker and are either 24 or 36v setups in most current bassboats.
Please cite a manufacturer making such a statement....What Will said is exactly right. Maintaining a higher voltage means less amps will be pulled to generate the same kW power output which is LESS heat.

You can bring that battery up to temperature safe for charging so quickly by putting a load on it. You would almost never need a heater on it unless you store it in the cold while depleted.

Cold weather protection is for automated charging setups like solar panels. If you are manually charging your batteries or keep them in a warm location you may not need cold weather protection.
I debated which way to go for my travel trailer, but using a li time heated battery made for a much cleaner installation than trying to insulate the battery inside the trailer. After spending a year living out of my trailer on a job site, where it would get below freezing during the day, it seemed better to take the easy route that I know will work and be safe for the battery. Space is limited and I installed the battery under my couch instead of outside where the originals were. Hopefully, the heat won't be needed but it is an option. A single 200ah battery is working but I may add a second one, so it isn't a huge price difference. A larger bank for a home would be a different story.
I just bought one because of this video, the 300 amp surge will,allow me to have only one battery at my well pump instead of two redodo and. Other ones.

Will Prowse, I like your videos I think you do a very good job, but in my opinion you really should first test the batteries and then only open them in the end, because by testing them outside of their "boxes" you are providing them a little bit more cooling, which is an advantage that those batteries don't have in real life conditions.

Especially if you are jumping a very dead battery, it may actually trip the over current protection.
Have you seen any batteries with heatsinks for the cells? I'd be curious to see how much passive cooling would help. It would also be cool to sandwich water cooled heatsinks between cells for high-performance applications, especially for something like a boat.
LFP cells should not heat up past 45 Celsius if at ambient 25 Celsius.....only power cells that are doing 5C+ might get towards 60 Celsius...its really a non issue for the VAST majority of applications.

As you have done a lot of 48V and now 12V, do you ever plan on hitting up 24V? I have found 24V interesting for a long time and it has gotten more interesting due to it being used more and so there is more stuff out for it. To point out some of my findings:
1. USB charger / power supply on 24V DC input - Super efficient, especially for USB-C PD power. My USB charger with PD barely warms up at all while powering and charging my laptop computer. Super efficient. Compact. Cheap. Versatile. That DC-DC buck conversion from ~26.5V to 20V for PD is definitely far more efficient than going through a 120V AC inverter with its own parasitic draw to a cheeped out power brick rated for my laptop that wastes power like mad and then back to ~20V DC. I mean you are talking about ~97% efficient versus

What about running these batteries without the cases? Is there an advantage for heating and/or cooling? Fans to pump air for air cooling? I have, I believe, an excess of heating available in my bus. Some sort of metal box, heated, cooled, with rain/water protection? Yes this is kind of an “out there” hypothetical question.

As he mentioned the good and bad points, I imagined a person at Li Time taking notes to figure out what exactly they had to do to meet his "specs" or "standards." He is a good sales person for them and a good quality inspector for us, the customer. The R and D are probably just figuring out how to hit the benchmarks while keeping the costs low.

It all "looks good" will but with this one & others I am concerned that 3C / 5C etc discharge is neither wise or safe unless the specific cells are actually rated accordingly. LFP i A-Typically 1C Discharge & 0.5C Charge with limited surge capability, but to actually "dip into" that, I have to Pause on that one.
It would be ideal if you could look up the actual cells and get the specs for them, might be surprising end enlightening.

I use batteries in a different setting than solar. I use trolling motors for kayaks. Many are 24, 36v as well as 12v.
Do you have a recommendation for an adjustable amperage charger in both DC to DC and AC to DC charging?
As well as an adjustable voltage charging 12, 24, and 36 v in both DC to DC and AC to DC.
Might I also suggest you make videos that take into account the needs of us kayak anglers and angler in general that utilize these batteries for trolling motors and electronics.

A trolling motor on a kayak sounds interesting. My uncle has a small aluminum fishing boat, but that is no good with having to tow a travel trailer. A kayak could go on a rack in my truck. I have a float tube but have only used it once or twice as I'm not such a fan of having to sit in the water with waders and be stuck with only my own body to move across a lake. I just upgraded my trailer to a li time battery, did a trip with it, and then ordered solar panels.
@@CGT80 lots of options out there. Some are diy some are premade. But you need to make sure you have the right kayak. Do your research on type of kayak you want. Look at bonafide,wilderness systems,old town, Jackson, Hobie to name a few. Then the major brands of kayak specific motors are made by bixpy, Newport NK series, motorguide xi3 and torqueedo.
I have an old town 120 PDL that I put an nk300 on. I can get to 6 mph.

Great videos. Will I have Victron battery shunt monitor nd I can see my battery status via my iPhone app using bluetooth. Blue tooth is only good for about 50 feet. Is there a monitor out there that is wifi that will connect to my T-Mobile Gateway network in my RV so I can access my battery status from home? My RV is 5 miles away in storage and I hate going there once or twice a week to check the battery status. I know Victron has a Cerbo GX wifi device to do this but they are over $200. There' got to be a device to can access remotely via wifi. My RV has 120v power and Internet wifi.

Do you need to bond a Neutral and ground in the service panel box on a growatt build?
I don't like growatts because they are difficult to make safe because their manuals are confusing or inaccurate. And it depends on model and configuration and environment you are installing in
Question on these being the max input charging is 100amp. Does the bms limit/cap that or do you need to somehow limit it yourself with a regulator between the battery and alternator? My alternator is 150amp.
