My pleasure! Thanks for watching! 😊 And starting next week, I'll be taking a big trip, so there will be plenty of new places to see on this channel soon!
Hi there - I can provide some more backstory about this area from my knowledge. This town is located in Somerset County, New Jersey which is generally an affluent area in the outer western suburbs of New York City, but this particular town has been unlucky in that it's very prone to flooding. It has experienced a series of devastating flood events due to its location next to the Raritan River, most notably during Hurricane Floyd in 1999, Hurricane Irene in 2011, and the remnants of Hurricane Ida 2021. During the 2021 storm, there was a memorable photograph of the TD Bank Ballpark baseball stadium in this town covered in muddy floodwaters. So for that reason a lot of residents may have moved away. That being said, there still seems to be some apartments being constructed in the downtown area, it's located along a commuter train line which makes it convenient to commute to NYC, and it looks like there's a pretty significant Latin American community in town too.
I haven't been there in many years but the spot I used to visit, 635 Central Avenue, was one of the most beautiful and most peaceful areas in New Jersey.
Awesome place to watch trains!!!!!!
Thanks for tour. It's interesting to see new places 😊

I’m not sure - by American standards, is this a good, quiet area or not?
