You should do a 1 partner 1 time run. Basically you can only use your partners in battle 1 time each for the whole playthrough

I'll be honest, when I suggested Vivian-only for the three shadows, I was really hoping she'd get the KO on at least one of her sisters. Y'know, for lore reasons. Annnnd then she got KO'd pretty soon into the fight.
It's OK, though. It turned out to be a pretty solid fight, and best girl still got some licks in.
For those who werent on the stream, Dark Bones has like an 80% showstopper, thats how the refight got killed
Killing gloomtail in six showstoppers is still so funny to me
It's interesting how much extra health buffs Grodus. He's constantly pushing back on you by summoning Xs and using statuses that cancel your turn. The Shadow Queen was possibly the only boss in the original game that had enough health to get in a decent number of attacks, so that fight is basically designed for the player to be able to stabilize, given enough skill.
I remember back when these "Member first" videos had barely 5 comments, now it's filled! Glad to see the growth in the community and the channel!

All these years and I had no idea you could attack Grodus' staff
20:10, smart move on being safe and using normal guard to be sure you avoid getting killed there, even if it hited joshi.
I like that the guard has still its uses and balancing between the 2, even if Bringle man is a god at super guarding
Paper Mario: TTYD, but every enemy has both Triple Damage and Triple Health.
I feel like that would be a sufficiently hard challenge, especially so if superguards were to be disabled.

Out of curiosity have you heard of Retro Achievements? It's a neat way to replay some old games with community made achievements and sets, been recently attempting to Master the TTYD achievements and was left wondering if anyone would ever make a Pre-hooktail pit subset one day

Hammerman runs/challenges wouldn't be so bad if only we got a multi-hit single-target badge/ability.
tbh, it's what the Super/Ultra hammer special attacks SHOULD have been.
Flurrie came THROUGH in the Grodus fight. She always makes for such interesting fights in hard situations
I love the fact in the Grodus fight the final Fiery Jynx before he won had the action command "AAYYY" like the game was congratulating him
It is pretty tricky because I don't really know how to make the battles more difficult in a way which is actually fun. That's one of the things I hate about a lot of JRPGs is how stupid the HP of the bosses are, as it's just so grindy.
I don't really love having attacks which are just stupidly hard to guard or super guard; while I do love the dynamic battle system (especially with how satisfying it is to perform stylist moves) I don't much like when it becomes a game of frame perfect inputs to win battles. I actually don't really like super guards due to that, and I think it should be impossible to super guard boss attacks. The Prince Mush gimmick was pretty cool but I wouldn't like many bosses like that.
As a side note, I played Paper Mario 64 just before the new remake of TTYD and although TTYD's battle system is nearly a complete upgrade, I did kind of miss the Sweet Treat from PM64 not being action commands as it's a pain to do that mini game every single time I want to heal just a bit of HP and FP. I don't mind the others being action commands though.

A suggestion I'd like to make for doing long challenges like these would be to add a speedrun timer on-screen. It oughta help you when editing and just add to the viewer experience in general. Absolute GGs on this challenge, that Grodus fight was insane
