7:29 I was sure this would happen... I put the yeasts in an open carafe, I mix vigorously with a whisk to incorporate oxygen and I wait for the foam to reach the top of the carafe before pouring it into the fermenter...

i am confused. were u using barley to be malted to make beer ? or were you using non- hulled rice (the type of rice that chinese eat)
i can't find any rice with hull still on (that can be malted) in uk market.

Yes it's rice malted by me. You can find the video on the channel 😉
where i am here in Uk and germany, i can't find any rice that can be malted.. because all rice come in hulled type. it won't germinate anymore.
I know. in Europe is very difficult to find it.

Nooooooo 😲, sugar in the fermenter. in the bottles not more of 10 g for liter . More is dangerous 💣
Adding sugar while bottling carbonates the beer. If you add too much of sugar, it can burst the bottle.

Hello ,,, during the 2 weeks fermentation process my room temperature is between 25 and 40 degree C . Is that ok or the room temperature must be in a certain level ?
25 will be perfect, but if you can't do differently, try and let us know 😉
By the way, where do you find your rice malt? Just roasting your rice does not produce any malt. The rice must be germinated before... We grow sticky rice here, that's why I'd like to make some rice beer. Thanks for the video !

@@Spectacular-cuoredicioccolato Of course I will. Another question, you said you got 3 %ABV, according to the FermCalc program, your sugar only accounts for about 1.5%. Only 1.5% from your grain seems to be low, that amount of grain should give you more than 3%. Did you make an iodine test to control the starch conversion?
According to what I know, by roasting your rice malt, you destroy the enzymes and your malt does not have any diastatic power any more, hence the low alcohol content...
Not iodine test because I didn’t have it, probably that was the problem. Better to mix rice with barley

Now, as summer in our place the room temp. is 33 to 34 deg. Celsius.. can I brew the beer with this temperature?
with the right yeast you can, look for Kviek yeast it ferments at 25-40c.

Yes but how you was able to malt pearl barley?
Same way of malt preparation.. In this case it never sprout as the pearl barley is polished for two to three times... Tosted at 80 deg. Celsius and broke it like malt.. Can use this instead of rice...
