I’ve never really “liked” running until I stumbled upon Nico. After seeing his RUclips Shorts I started watching his RUclips videos and then became addicted to his editing skills and also because his way of speaking motivated me to find a bit of passion in running and how to celebrate yourself for even just getting outdoors and running. I just wanna say thank you Nico. Today marks day 7 of running and I was able to complete a full mile without stopping and instead of my body focusing on how tired it was my mind was celebrating the fact that I’m able to run a mile for someone who really never ran before other than on the baseball field. Thank you Nico, you’re an Inspiration and can’t wait to meet you one day in a marathon 🙏🏼🏃🏽
Such a highly anticipated video, but you absolutely smashed it with the amazing production quality, running is truly a privilege. Loved seeing all of the athletes and creators I follow just have an absolute blast! 🔥 Had such a fun time watching and tracking you in the race that Sunday, it being on my birthday just made it even more special 😊
Running my first half marathon in January when i used to not be able to run half a mile. You have been a huge inspiration for me to make it this far. Keep making content, you're making an impact!
I embarked on my marathon journey a few months ago, completing my first marathon in Bellingham, WA, with less than a month of training, finishing in 4:24:58. I've felt the weight of pressure to run my next marathon, the Seattle marathon on Dec 1st, in under 4 hours. Your videos have been a source of inspiration, but I've also struggled with comparisons; seeing you run comfortably at 6-minute miles while my fastest is around 7:24 has been tough. The saying “comparison is the death of happiness” rings true, and I found myself losing the joy and excitement in running. However, your reminder that time isn't everything and your inspiring content have shifted my mindset. I've rediscovered the joy in running, focusing on my progress rather than comparing myself to others. I still strive for improvement but now only compare myself to my own journey. I look forward to the possibility of meeting you at a shake-down run or the start line of a marathon.
Hey, I just wanted to say I absolutely LOVE your content and messages. I did xc in high school and now I just run a few days a week in college, but you are so so inspiring and making me so excited to fulfill my post grad plan of running a marathon. You exactly embody how awesome the running community is!!!!
“Grateful to have a body that works” something we should all remind ourselves on our journeys. I know you didn’t want that race to end Nico, can’t wait to see what the future holds for training.
I ran my very first marathon at Twin Cities Marathon 2 weeks ago, and Nico I followed what you said about enjoying the journey. It’s been such a game changer, and I had such a positive experience throughout my training block and race. Beautiful enough to convince me that I wanna experience that high again and do it all over. Thanks for being an inspiration dude, keep crushing it!
Love how positive and fun this marathon was for you. You can truly tell how carefree you felt and how grateful you felt to simply be there. Saying “I’m just grateful to have a body that works” hits so deep. As a nurse, I see how devastating it is for people everyday who wish they could do any sort of movement. So I always remember that on my runs as well whenever I start becoming ungrateful ❤️ Awesome video Nico!!!
Really cool how you followed up Eugene with this one and had fun. Working on prep for my next race and making notes - thanks for sharing details! Also, I always thought running was about something else too - until I was nearly killed by a running horse, and now that I’m back to marathon running, I guess I’ve changed my mind to think that running is definitely about running. It’s about the visceral feeling of being alive. Great story on what that looks like!
Much Love Nico. Since watching you I have really feel in love with running. Striving to go farther everyday and getting them miles in. Love to see you happy and succeed like this. You’re killing it!! God is good my man❤️🙏🏻
Quality video as always. So many good one-liners in here. Running really isn't about running. Finally learned that, and marathon #1 is in 4 days. Congrats on another marathon!
Saying hi from 🇨🇦 just outside Toronto; love this message because in talking about the journey you include all runners, not just the elites or sub-elites or super-fast influencers for that matter ;)
Oh my Nico!!! I followed you all the way using the app. I was cheering so loudly as you crossed the finish line!! I have to tell you, when I go out for my early morning long runs, I put your podcasts on repeat. They’re so calming. There’s such a familiarity in your voice. I look forward to following you on your next journey. Cheers once again on a great marathon!! 👏🏻🤗🇨🇦
@@leannabeller7872 oh my I should clarify I used the word podcast but it’s his RUclips channel videos not podcasts. But maybe it could be a cool idea for Nico to create a podcast channel like Jeremy Miller or Fordy Runs 😁
Excelente!!! Me encantó. Yo solo he corrido un maratón y cuando hablas del dolor, me identifico contigo. Todo duele y sin embargo elegimos volver a intentarlo. Gracias por el mensaje ❤
It can be tough to enjoy running when you have specific goals. Sometimes, I like to leave my AirPods at home and just head outside to run without worrying about my pace or distance. It’s a nice way to focus on the experience and enjoy the moment. I’m so happy for you! I’m glad you enjoyed the Chicago Marathon.
Incredible to see your reaction at the end of this race, compared to the emotions of the last one. Thanks for reminding us of the simple joy to run- and to not take it so seriously all the time.
Every time you make a race day video I tear up!! Your videos are getting better and better! I hope you’ll run an international race one day so we can meet! Greetings from Germany my friend🫶
I needed this! I'm about to run my first marathon. The Aqualine Marathon 2024, here in Japan. It's only a week away from the time I posted this. Thanks for the inspiration!
Chicago this year was my first marathon!! Love your POV and your videos have found me at times I needed them the most. Thank you for spreading the good vibes 🥳
What an amazing video Nico. 😄🫶🏻 First of all, thank you for the chat and the photos at the shakeout. And second, but not less important.. thank you for the important message in this video. Being able to run, especially to run a marathon, it’s privilege, we are blessed. No matter if we hit or not our goals. One month before Chicago my dearest friend Barbara passed, at age of 36. I’ve learned a lot from her and her short but strong battle to cancer. I didn’t run my “best” marathon time, but I’ve run the most emotional marathon of my life. I’m so grateful. We are blessed. Keep going ❤️🔥💪🏻
Congrats, Nico, amazing, as always, all that hard work for this, you are the goat. It is so inspiring for real, it has me ready toathon in ten days, running NYC I am nervous and excited but also have this bitter-sweet feeling of the training almost over and falling in love with running now. Can't wait, but again, congrats, you did that again.
Amazing video Nico! You are my favorite influencer out there, you inspire me so much. I ran my first marathon a month ago, and you have helped me with so many tips and tricks form your videos. Thank you dude.
I love your authenticity Nico and your story telling. What a great video, I am falling in love with running and looking forward to run several Maranthons once I move to Europe. Very happy 😊
What a video! Highly anticipated this one, love your content Nico, truly inspirational.. Production quality has improved a lot. Keep going brother! I’m here for it!
Nico, I really appreciate what you said. It’s easy to feel like failure when we don’t reach the goals, but it’s not. What I learn on the way is more valuable. Thanks always for the inspiration Nico! :)
praise the Lord. truly! this was incredible to witness and i’m sure incredible to voice over. it’s evident you allowed this experience to be exactly that! an experience!!
Was a pleasure to share the course with you brother oh yeahh we hit PB as well . Now can i repeat that same effort in Boston then go for another PR in Berlin-
Watching from Chicago on my couch. Getting over injury that I got the day after the Marathon ( Tripped over dog gate 🙃) Great video and you are right to take in the moment. My time was not important but to enjoy 1.7 million people along the route cheering you on. Oh and going well over my goal raising money for my charity. Good luck in your next sub 250 attempt in Eugene
