Keeping the candle wick trimmed helps control the amount of melted wax that the candle has access to, which helps limit the amount of soot it creates. A tip for the candles, I have a small child that gets into everything, so I don't light candles much anymore. I've started using candle/coffee warmers to use my candles, you'll still get that great smell through the house and you don't have to worry about the soot and breathing that in. I still light a candle from time to time and only do it for a few hours a day and not all day. You can find the candle warmers on Amazon.

When you’re done with a wax melt you can put the tray with the used wax in the freezer for a few hours or overnight and it’ll pop right out and you can toss the wax, that way your scents don’t get mixed up! 🕯❤️
