    Dr. Tabor is always humble, saying his mentor was greater than he. Maybe that’s true, but today Tabor is one of the best Biblical scholars in North America. Make no mistake about it.

    Speaking on the celibacy of Jesus the jew: Back in early 2000's a jewish friend told me that, under certain circumstances, it is good for some people to remain strictly in celibacy. Later, due to health problems and some other issues, I and my wife became absolute celibacy practitioners, and we found absolutely no discomfort or lack of affection situations. In such a situation, both understood plenty of fruits of marriage that are hidden in the cultural tradition of humans that sex is a manifestation of love in marriage. I, personally, came to understand that avoiding natural sexual impulse in normal and average humans is but excruciating. Was Jesus the jew, like us? I would have told Jesus: "rabbi, we learned to live without sexual accesories".

    I'm sure you already know this by now, so it's probably old news, or you may have already known it during the time of this video and just didn't think about it. But before went to that too deep, let me first say that I love your research, references, and ability to express what you learned. In this video there was a question about the word Nazar, and it has been recurrent that I have come across the word Nazar to yes mean branch but also and more relevant as set apart. Nazareth was the place set apart from the city, a Nazarite was a person from there, but much like being from Israel doesn't make you a Jew, being from Nazareth didn't make you set apart. The early Believers of the Christ, were called Nasarim/The Nazarenes.
    This is what I've run across anyhow. If I am wrong, please correct me, and if I helped.... No thanks necessary. I thank YOU for doing the foot work that many SHOULD HAVE long before you. God Bless and BE Blessed friend.

    FIRST ERROR: "NAZAReth" is NOT derived from the Hebrew word "netzer" for "branch". It is the word "NAZIR" meaning "consecrated", and was used of Samson. Like Samson, Jesus was supposed to be "consecrated" to God from his mother's womb; BUT in HIS case HE WAS "God".

    • @richarddemuth7077
      @richarddemuth7077 2 года назад +1

      SECOND ERROR: Joseph's "hometown" was supposed to be BETHLEHEM because he was supposed to be a descendent of King David according to the two gospel genealogies and so THAT'S why the couple returned there to be counted for the Roman census. Mary's family, apparently being Levitim according to the "Lukan" gospel and so "NAZIR" or CONSECRATED as priests, was from NAZAReth. Usually in ancient cultures the wife moved in with the husband's family, but apparently not in this case.

    • @richarddemuth7077
      @richarddemuth7077 2 года назад +1

      THIRD ERROR: Contrary to the popular interpretation that the saying "Can any good (thing) come from out of NAZAreth" is a contemporary sardonic remark about the worth of the obscure little village, THIS is NOT so or it could have been said about ANY similar small unknown village of the place and time. NAZAReth has thus UNdeservedly "earned" a bad repute it NEVER originally had. The phrase was invented by the Gospel author as a facetious contrast to the NAME of the place meaning "Of the CONSECRATED/SANCTIFIED"; as if asking "What GOOD can come out of the HOLY place?"; at least for THIS World. The CHRISTian's answer was of course intended to be: JESUS!🤗😄😁🤔

    • @richarddemuth7077
      @richarddemuth7077 2 года назад +1

      FOURTH ERROR: Tabor FIRST DENIES he's an archaeologist (which is true because he's a historian who analyzes ancient chronographies) BUT then claims he IS an archaeologist AND a historian!! THIS is the same inanity about himself as when he pronounces his own last name as "Taybor" instead of with the "soft A" sound like the Hebrew pronunciation of the name of the central Palestinian mountain for which his family's named: "TABOR"!!

    • @richarddemuth7077
      @richarddemuth7077 2 года назад +1

      This isn't an error because Tabor is correct that the Greek word used in the "Gospels" to describe his (earthly) father's job "tekton" means "maker" or "builder"; it can also mean "crafter" or "artificer" however, like a carpenter. But the main point is that the generic connotation of the word aligns it with Hebrew term "CANIN". The SIGNificance of this is that the older word for the country of Palestine was "CANAAN" and it was at the village of CANA that Jesus miraculously changed the water into wine at the marriage feast. And MOST importantly the "Book of Deuteronomy" explicitly gives the NAME OF GOD as being "CANA"... which also means "zealous" and "jealous"!! The message is thus that Jesus is the Son of the Creator God Father.

    • @richarddemuth7077
      @richarddemuth7077 2 года назад +1

      FIFTH ERROR: I think it's more a "blooper" than having fallacious information when Tabor lets slip the second time he talks about Sepphoris as the capital city of Galilee that it contained the palace of "Herod the Great(Antipater) when the first time he correctly mentioned Herod ANTIPAS his son. I have often noticed in his videos how he makes many little slips with people and place names. I know he deals with ALOT of information so I hope age isn't catching up with him!

    Romans started to collect tax-payer catalogues about same era when Jesus was born and lived. And Judes made their family trees, didn't they. It is matter of time when if those can be found, from Vatican and so on. But name Jesus there sure will not be. In time of Jesus the population of Jerusalem and Israel was somehow similar than middle-size city or smaller metropol so digging out family of Jesus mark surely won't be mission impossible.

    Profession of Dad of Jesus, Jesus, and Thomas as "Tekton=Builder" is also confirmed from this historic evidence that Jesus sent Thomas to Taxila (now in Pakistan,) in order to build palace of Raja (king) of Taxila. And even today we can see a small Statue of Thomas in Taxila Museum. However, Carpentry is also sub-section of building a Building.
    There is tons and tons of multiple historic evidence that during age 12 to 30, for 18 years, Jesus remained in India and Nepal. This is based on multiple historic evidence, but you are just making a guess that he remained in Palestine, and was busy in his stone-masonry business. This ABSOLUTELY not true.

    *This is very unfortunate* that almost in all religions, Rabbis Priests Mullahs and Imams sometime misuse their theology in order to advance their personal Agendas. Same is done by many Bible Scholars and Archeologists. For example: there is one Canadian Archeologist Dan Gibson who spread a big fuss that Original Mecca is not Mecca but Original Mecca was in Petra (now in Jordan). But premises for his claim was based on the direction of Mehrab (Niche) of Mosques toward Mecca. But that Educated-Ignorant Dan Gibson failed to know that in early Mosques, there was no any Mehrab facing toward Mecca. The innovation of Merab was started 100 years after the death of Prophet Mohammad during the era of Omayyad Caliphs when they blended Five daily Zoroastrian Namaz Rituals in Islam through Forgery of Hadith of Flying-Horse Buraq. Quran talks about Salat, but Salat is not any kind of Rituals. Quran blasts all kinds of Rituals in 2:177 by saying that Praying Rituals facing Kaaba is not a Good deed but Good deed is to be a Muslim (4:136), and then live as a Philanthropist (extend services to humanity). In all Original Scriptures, there is no any Rituals and it cannot be because God is Omnipresent and is not confined to any specific Temple, Building and City. When you are sitting in your home or you are on walk, you can talk to God anytime; God is closer to you than even your neck-vein (Quran 50:16, 2:115, 57:4, 58:7). And FACT is: even the Rituals which Jews pray are not from Original Torah but Sanhedrin made it. Even Five daily prayers of Zoroastrians were not introduced by Prophet Zoroaster but by another their False Prophet Hakeem Mani.
    Mr. Tabor: We are in this field more than your whole Career-span. If you deny that Jesus was not in India, and he is not buried in RazaBal, then either you lack info on this subject or like Dan Gibson, you are deliberately misusing your Archaeology in order to advance your own agenda
