Better of staying and learning too deal with functioning with life without these in your life ,better to meet it head on and fight the temptation through coping skills ,i used to be a heavy drinker i am well at the stage now of being able to go in town full of bars and pubs and supermarkets filled with alcohol and just say No ! There was a time when i couldn't pass one of these places without going in ,we can teach our brains and behaviour too say No ! I would certainly get in touch with Narcotics Anonymous before doing anything else !

I've found that hard exercise, breaking a sweat, really helps! It restores a chemical balance, allowing regenerative sleep, and a healthy appetite for food. Whenever feelings of dread, and cravings start to step forward, pickup the weights, and force them back into the background. All the Best to you! 💖

Wow I have been clean from opioids for 5 years and I have not stopped thinking about them everyday even up to this day I’m still thinking about them. I remember years ago watching your channel and you saying about Roy’s tears in the rain speech from blade runner. It’s an obsession that has haunted me from the very first time I took my first pill. Now I’m still obsessed even though I have been clean for years. I have been battling alcohol but I still think about pills. It’s something we all will battle until the end. I just watched blade runner and this channel came straight into my head as I used to watch it when I was battling withdrawal 5 years ago I thought I would see what was happening and I’m glad I did because it proves we are never alone in addiction even if we feel the most lonely person in the world going through something like this. Stay in warrior mode and keep fighting Tim.

please take care Tim, I have been trying to get clean since 2009 from IV heroin, am trying now, am always trying. its so dam hard. please don't beat yourself up, you have done amazing so many times, and you will again. please look after yourself man, I don't want you feeling bad at all, all the best mate.
Have you tried methadone? I find methadone very helpful. It's not some magic cure.. you need to do some work also. But it will stop you from getting sick.. it eliminates withdrawal.. so that's for me 90% of it. I personally could never get any effect whatsoever from codeine, I used to drink bottles of linctus, cold water extractions, nothing. I think my tolerance was too high. I've heard people on the boards say when you're big into opiates, taking codeine is entirely pointless. I was primarily Oxy.. at least 500mg daily which I suppose is a considerable amount.. and then when Oxy became too expensive and too difficult to obtain I graduated to heroin. But I was so deep in it.. you know I was spending £250+ a day just to stave off the withdrawal.. I wasn't even getting any high from it.. so moving to methadone was quite easy for me, as my tolerance had become so high, the heroin wasn't doing anything more for me than methadone was.. so it was an easy switch. But you do need new company. You have to practically cut out all your old old junkie acquaintances.. you can't get clean if you're still hanging out with other junkies. Don't get me wrong, like occasionally I do wonder to myself.. "hmm, what would it be like if I got a few grams.. just for a few nice highs" and if I was still in the same circles or had good trustworthy dealers who only sell the best quality gear like I had then, I probably would.
Why not stay connected to your recovery community? You're going to leave in shame? Would you advise that for someone else? Keep making honest videos about whatever is happening.

I too was once an alcoholic and had gotten addicted to pain pills. I got the pain pills from a friend who was prescribed a ton of them every month and I didn't know that and one day I was with her and I said that I had to leave because I had developed a pounding migraine. She told me to wait and she reached in her purse and pulled out a bottle full of pills and she handed me just one of them. It was big. I honestly didn't know what the hell it was but I trusted her and I took this 1 pill and an hour later not only was the migraine gone but I felt amazing. I told her that. She started feeding them to me everyday and it was impossible to deny it, why would I? It felt great. So then she brought me to her pain management doctor and I got prescribed my own pain pills now. Before you know it I was full blown hooked and always ran out early and when I did I was really sick. It was terrible but I still did not have the urge to give it up. A couple years goes by with this life style and I had gotten pulled over while driving under the influence of alcohol. I had gotten a dui and I also got into an altercation with an officer and I was brought to the county jail. I got no help with weening off of my medicines. It was horrible and I was basically bed ridden and vulnerable. So there I sat for 6 months. During those six months of forced sobriety when I got out I had no desire to drink or do pain pills or anything! It also got me away from that evil person that introduced the pills to me. I had a great life before that and I worked very hard for it. The pills alone destroyed my life. I hid it from my family to protect the person who introduced them to me and to protect myself. It's a hard thing to admit to anyone especially your own immediate family. But I had to. I had never gotten locked up ever before so that shocked them. They knew something was very wrong but couldn't put their finger on it. And I finally told them from the county jail phone what I had been doing for the last 2 years and how it got started and everything. I was 100% honest with them about it. When I got outta jail it took like 5 years to get all of my trust back from my family. I had to stay sober. Jail literally saved my life. It was a lesson and a blessing. And it was the only way for me to be completely done with it. To this day I am. This all started in 2014 until I got arrested in 2016. So I have been dead sober since 2016 and to this day I have absolutely no desire at all to drink or do pain pills. Jail really did work and for me it was the only way. Rehabs don't work and I would not have gone to one willingly anyways. I got sober by force. I needed it. I wouldve never thought of jail as being the solution for it but I've told numerous people my story to help them. If I didn't get pulled over that day then I would be dead right now I GUARANTEE IT!!! I was prescribed norcos 10mg. 180 of them a month!! I was taking them 10 at a time eventually. It's insane to think of that now. I don't know how I never overdosed from it. I would have eventually though or had gotten liver failure or something. Jail was my answer. I truly thank God for that. And I heard you say that you'll always be an addict? Rehabs say that and program that into their patients and I'm totally against it because it's not true. You can escape all of that stuff forever. You just have to find the right solution to do it that works for you. everybody is different. Jail was the only way for me and I swear to christ I've been dead sober since September of 2013. I consider myself "fully recovered" as I also never had a single urge to this day. That part of me is dead and gone. That's how it feels. Don't let stupid rehabs label you guys as always an addict" they just say that to cover their own ass because what they're doing obviously isn't working. So they have to say that to take the heat off of themselves you know? That's the truth!! I've watched 2 of your videos and I loved them because of your sincerity. You can become fully recovered trust me when I tell you that? You just have to find the way that works best for you. Never death though. Hell maybe 6 months of jail time would work for you too lol? You never know. You're a good man though so just know that.

I relapsed after 6( SIX!)MONTH of nearly zero heroin or opioids pills,and ,of course,all my troubles,pains,doubt,light panic,very high mood,very low mood,one of the yoyos of our life,my friend Tim.... But,I just remind you,you have supported my withdrawal since day one,by your inspiring videos...and these 6 month were a nice time.....that ,since 40-50 days,I had given up...... Having a goal bigger than ourselves is essential. I gave up smoking cigarettes for 18months when me and my ex wife were trying for a baby. We we’re successful against all odds, so miracle’s do happen. So use that will power of your mother and let’s face it you’re on the clock if she’s 96. I won’t wish you good luck, as it’s not down to luck. It’s down to suffering, suck up the suffering! 💪

I've messed up more times then I can remember. I haven't watched the video yet , I'm just going off the title. everyone makes mistakes.....that why they makes pencils with rubbers on the end. I know the shitty feelings afterwards, like I let everyone down including myself. And u just feel awful for a few days afterwards. But least u have recognised u messed up mate, believe me we all do it. Just don't go off hiding away for days coz that makes u feel worse. Ur definitely not alone 💯❤️🩹💪
At least one relapse is inevitably, unfortunately, just part of the process. Life can be perfect and it can still happen. Perhaps you can continue to make videos about your day to day struggles and triumphs, or whatever you feel like, because it seems like such a waste for you to stop altogether when you are a source of support, information and inspiration for soooooo many folks. And these folks have been there and do not judge you! Well wishes.

Hi Tim! Remember me? Well,I relapsed 6 month ago,at seventy is a shame! But I don't feel any shame,it's the hundreds time at least! Now I visit my old mother in Switzerland,so I get hold on subutex,enough for 2 month here. Then I will go back in Asia where my lifelong drug of choice is available,Heroín,and I will continue my road from there. It's more easy to stop pure Hero than all of medications,so the mass is said! You're far too hard on yourself. Part of me wonders if your family are helping or hindering. It seems you talk yourself down and feel shame. Stay in Spain. If they want to visit you they can. Do what's best for you. Don't live in shame or in the shame projected by family

You mention letting your loved ones down. That may very well be true and it is a noble gesture on your part to recognize that. I do believe though, that these addictions can be defeated when it is done when it is done for yourself. I'm not suggesting you are not because I cannot know that. It is just something I noticed as you were speaking. JMHO it has to be for you because it what you want for you.
Don’t be gone long. You are an inspiration. As I said before, I have been on Tramadol for 20 years for chronic pain. I am slowly tapering, but every now and again I find my dosage going up. One thing about Spain is the weather. Our weather doesn’t help, it can be very depressing. You have fallen to a lower ledge on the mountain, not to the bottom. I respect you so much for your honesty. We need you more now than ever before. We don’t want a perfect person, but an honest one.

Sadly, the UK zeitgeist nowadays increases the desire for this crap and also the availability. Add to that memories and mental pathways and success becomes harder. Environment is everything. I think you’re being way too hard on yourself. You’ve done so well to get on top of opiate addiction, it’s absolutely horrendous to get through the withdrawal. Hope all is well in Spain 🇪🇸
I’m in the same position, so you’re not alone Tim. I told a friend that having experienced opioids is like someone who has eaten bread all their life, then suddenly is given a cream donut. They will never ever forget how that cream donut tastes. They can go back to Bread, but the memory of that donut is forever imprinted on their brain.
Hi Tim. Objectivity is such a difficult perspective to maintain and I can see that you're struggling to keep an objective mind around the current situation. You have always come over as a guy who has tremendous bravery and honesty and those two qualities are inspirational to so many who use your channel. We beat ourselves up when we deem that we've 'fallen' from whatever dizzy and impossible heights we believe that we should be at and rarely acknowledge that we're entitled to the occasional lapse, and end up developing amnesia about the many good things we have done for others and for ourselves. and you Tim have done countless things which through the sincerity of your vids, have made lots of people feel better about themselves. On behalf of those people, can I sincerely thank you. Are you going through a difficult time? Certainly looks like it. Have you got what it takes to recover? Most certainly. Good Luck from The Wirral, UK. It's so easy to slip up. Once you've tried opiates, they're always lurking...for me, anyway. It doesn't matter how you're doing in life..even if things are going well a little voice says, "You know you could be even happier." I have to always be on my guard, though I'm not tempted by the tablets you're talking about. I used to go from chemist to chemist, buying multiple packets of the ones beginning with P and the ibuprofen with codeine .. but only when I'd finished my script early. I'd buy wine and eat packets of pills, just to get a dose that would stop the withdrawal. I hate the things now and can't even touch normal paracetamol WITHOUT the extras because they remind me of how ill the strong ones made me. Anyway, take care Tim. Lots of love x

I've heard a lot of ones say microdosing the mushroom is meanta be really good for the mental health and depression a don't no about the addiction part thow if we have that disease in us could we not end up getting hooked on the mushrooms just a thought as a was going threw the comments. I'm currently fighting a really hard opiate drug and it's a killer to get off was doing ok then slipped up like Tim again this be my 1000 th time maybe of trying to get this but always fail , wouldn't mind trying the microdosing sometime to see if ther is any benefit from it
To my knowledge they’re not addictive. It’s about getting on the spirit road. I also read that psychedelics regrow neuro pathways in the pre fontal cortex. NOW if you’re in recovery then it becomes a lot bigger question as to whether it’s a path you want to go down, it’s kill or cure when in our position for sure

In 2018 they made these medications "prescription only" in Australia. Best thing ever as I am free of addiction today. Or at least clean but careful like you said, the addiction never completely goes away we always need to be mindful.
Being back with family and friends would have caused some sort of subconscious pining as they all celebrated their favourite substances of choice, some taking mucho plenty heavy and having a ball without obvious issues so . . . why can't I have a little something too??

I am so sorry that you find yourself in this position again Tim. I only recently found your channel because I too am going through codeine withdrawal ( prescribed 30/500 co-codamol x 8++ per day UK) again, having previously been off them for 6 years). Do not feel bad, disingenuous or guilty or any of those things. It is clear that your channel has helped so many people m, and you have helped me massively in a very short space of time. You absolutely need to do whatever is right for you right now, but so many of us are here for you if and when you need us! You support others and all are keen to support you right back. YOU are a warrior! Nobody is perfect and that is what makes us real and human. You have stumbled, but you will get right up again. Perhaps a new boundary/rule could be to never go into a pharmacy again. It is horrifying to me that opiates are so available in the UK, when they really are a source of addiction and sorrow. Glad you were able to get off them before you needed to go through withdrawal.

But you do need new company. You have to practically cut out all your old old junkie acquaintances.. you can't get clean if you're still hanging out with other junkies. Don't get me wrong, like occasionally I do wonder to myself.. "hmm, what would it be like if I got a few grams.. just for a few nice highs" and if I was still in the same circles or had good trustworthy dealers who only sell the best quality gear like I had then, I probably would.

I too was once an alcoholic and had gotten addicted to pain pills. I got the pain pills from a friend who was prescribed a ton of them every month and I didn't know that and one day I was with her and I said that I had to leave because I had developed a pounding migraine. She told me to wait and she reached in her purse and pulled out a bottle full of pills and she handed me just one of them. It was big. I honestly didn't know what the hell it was but I trusted her and I took this 1 pill and an hour later not only was the migraine gone but I felt amazing. I told her that. She started feeding them to me everyday and it was impossible to deny it, why would I? It felt great. So then she brought me to her pain management doctor and I got prescribed my own pain pills now. Before you know it I was full blown hooked and always ran out early and when I did I was really sick. It was terrible but I still did not have the urge to give it up. A couple years goes by with this life style and I had gotten pulled over while driving under the influence of alcohol. I had gotten a dui and I also got into an altercation with an officer and I was brought to the county jail. I got no help with weening off of my medicines. It was horrible and I was basically bed ridden and vulnerable. So there I sat for 6 months. During those six months of forced sobriety when I got out I had no desire to drink or do pain pills or anything! It also got me away from that evil person that introduced the pills to me. I had a great life before that and I worked very hard for it. The pills alone destroyed my life. I hid it from my family to protect the person who introduced them to me and to protect myself. It's a hard thing to admit to anyone especially your own immediate family. But I had to. I had never gotten locked up ever before so that shocked them. They knew something was very wrong but couldn't put their finger on it. And I finally told them from the county jail phone what I had been doing for the last 2 years and how it got started and everything. I was 100% honest with them about it. When I got outta jail it took like 5 years to get all of my trust back from my family. I had to stay sober. Jail literally saved my life. It was a lesson and a blessing. And it was the only way for me to be completely done with it. To this day I am. This all started in 2014 until I got arrested in 2016. So I have been dead sober since 2016 and to this day I have absolutely no desire at all to drink or do pain pills. Jail really did work and for me it was the only way. Rehabs don't work and I would not have gone to one willingly anyways. I got sober by force. I needed it. I wouldve never thought of jail as being the solution for it but I've told numerous people my story to help them. If I didn't get pulled over that day then I would be dead right now I GUARANTEE IT!!! I was prescribed norcos 10mg. 180 of them a month!! I was taking them 10 at a time eventually. It's insane to think of that now. I don't know how I never overdosed from it. I would have eventually though or had gotten liver failure or something. Jail was my answer. I truly thank God for that. And I heard you say that you'll always be an addict? Rehabs say that and program that into their patients and I'm totally against it because it's not true. You can escape all of that stuff forever. You just have to find the right solution to do it that works for you. everybody is different. Jail was the only way for me and I swear to christ I've been dead sober since September of 2013. I consider myself "fully recovered" as I also never had a single urge to this day. That part of me is dead and gone. That's how it feels. Don't let stupid rehabs label you guys as always an addict" they just say that to cover their own ass because what they're doing obviously isn't working. So they have to say that to take the heat off of themselves you know? That's the truth!! I've watched 2 of your videos and I loved them because of your sincerity. You can become fully recovered trust me when I tell you that? You just have to find the way that works best for you. Never death though. Hell maybe 6 months of jail time would work for you too lol? You never know. You're a good man though so just know that.

Having a goal bigger than ourselves is essential. I gave up smoking cigarettes for 18months when me and my ex wife were trying for a baby.
We we’re successful against all odds, so miracle’s do happen. So use that will power of your mother and let’s face it you’re on the clock if she’s 96. I won’t wish you good luck, as it’s not down to luck. It’s down to suffering, suck up the suffering! 💪

I've messed up more times then I can remember. I haven't watched the video yet , I'm just going off the title. everyone makes mistakes.....that why they makes pencils with rubbers on the end. I know the shitty feelings afterwards, like I let everyone down including myself. And u just feel awful for a few days afterwards. But least u have recognised u messed up mate, believe me we all do it. Just don't go off hiding away for days coz that makes u feel worse. Ur definitely not alone 💯❤️🩹💪
At least one relapse is inevitably, unfortunately, just part of the process. Life can be perfect and it can still happen. Perhaps you can continue to make videos about your day to day struggles and triumphs, or whatever you feel like, because it seems like such a waste for you to stop altogether when you are a source of support, information and inspiration for soooooo many folks. And these folks have been there and do not judge you! Well wishes.

But I don't feel any shame,it's the hundreds time at least!
Now I visit my old mother in Switzerland,so I get hold on subutex,enough for 2 month here.
Then I will go back in Asia where my lifelong drug of choice is available,Heroín,and I will continue my road from there.
It's more easy to stop pure Hero than all of medications,so the mass is said!

You're far too hard on yourself. Part of me wonders if your family are helping or hindering. It seems you talk yourself down and feel shame. Stay in Spain. If they want to visit you they can. Do what's best for you. Don't live in shame or in the shame projected by family

You mention letting your loved ones down. That may very well be true and it is a noble gesture on your part to recognize that. I do believe though, that these addictions can be defeated when it is done when it is done for yourself. I'm not suggesting you are not because I cannot know that. It is just something I noticed as you were speaking. JMHO it has to be for you because it what you want for you.
They sell those pills OTC?! that’s crazy… here in the US they will barely give you pain pills even if your leg is falling off.

Don’t be gone long. You are an inspiration. As I said before, I have been on Tramadol for 20 years for chronic pain. I am slowly tapering, but every now and again I find my dosage going up. One thing about Spain is the weather. Our weather doesn’t help, it can be very depressing.
You have fallen to a lower ledge on the mountain, not to the bottom. I respect you so much for your honesty. We need you more now than ever before. We don’t want a perfect person, but an honest one.

Sadly, the UK zeitgeist nowadays increases the desire for this crap and also the availability. Add to that memories and mental pathways and success becomes harder. Environment is everything. Spain sounds great. I live in Greece. Had I stayed in the UK I would probably be a mess right now. Stay strong, stay disciplined. !Venceremos!

Hi Tim. Objectivity is such a difficult perspective to maintain and I can see that you're struggling to keep an objective mind around the current situation. You have always come over as a guy who has tremendous bravery and honesty and those two qualities are inspirational to so many who use your channel.
We beat ourselves up when we deem that we've 'fallen' from whatever dizzy and impossible heights we believe that we should be at and rarely acknowledge that we're entitled to the occasional lapse, and end up developing amnesia about the many good things we have done for others and for ourselves. and you Tim have done countless things which through the sincerity of your vids, have made lots of people feel better about themselves. Good Luck from The Wirral, UK. It's so easy to slip up. Once you've tried opiates, they're always lurking...for me, anyway. It doesn't matter how you're doing in life..even if things are going well a little voice says, "You know you could be even happier." I have to always be on my guard, though I'm not tempted by the tablets you're talking about. I used to go from chemist to chemist, buying multiple packets of the ones beginning with P and the ibuprofen with codeine .. but only when I'd finished my script early. I'd buy wine and eat packets of pills, just to get a dose that would stop the withdrawal. I hate the things now and can't even touch normal paracetamol WITHOUT the extras because they remind me of how ill the strong ones made me. Anyway, take care Tim. Lots of love x

I've heard a lot of ones say microdosing the mushroom is meanta be really good for the mental health and depression a don't no about the addiction part thow if we have that disease in us could we not end up getting hooked on the mushrooms just a thought as a was going threw the comments. I'm currently fighting a really hard opiate drug and it's a killer to get off was doing ok then slipped up like Tim again this be my 1000 th time maybe of trying to get this but always fail , wouldn't mind trying the microdosing sometime to see if ther is any benefit from it

It’s about getting on the spirit road. I also read that psychedelics regrow neuro pathways in the pre fontal cortex.
NOW if you’re in recovery then it becomes a lot bigger question as to whether it’s a path you want to go down, it’s kill or cure when in our position for sure

In 2018 they made these medications "prescription only" in Australia. Best thing ever as I am free of addiction today. Or at least clean but careful like you said, the addiction never completely goes away we always need to be mindful.
Being back with family and friends would have caused some sort of subconscious pining as they all celebrated their favourite substances of choice, some taking mucho plenty heavy and having a ball without obvious issues so . . . why can't I have a little something too??

I only recently found your channel because I too am going through codeine withdrawal ( prescribed 30/500 co-codamol x 8++ per day UK) again, having previously been off them for 6 years).
Do not feel bad, disingenuous or guilty or any of those things. It is clear that your channel has helped so many people m, and you have helped me massively in a very short space of time. You absolutely need to do whatever is right for you right now, but so many of us are here for you if and when you need us! You support others and all are keen to support you right back. YOU are a warrior!
Nobody is perfect and that is what makes us real and human. You have stumbled, but you will get right up again.

Perhaps a new boundary/rule could be to never go into a pharmacy again. It is horrifying to me that opiates are so available in the UK, when they really are a source of addiction and sorrow. Glad you were able to get off them before you needed to go through withdrawal.
