I did some commentary driving on my test and the examiner said examiners love this as they get more of an insight into what learners are thinking, planning, seeing and it helps them. I think it helped me focus and keep calm and I did pass my test.
@@GetWheelDriving I can’t believe how calm I was during my test, considering my anxiety before. Did help I got such a great examiner, he went out of his way to make me less anxious . Guess I did smash my test😊
My name is Andy, despite what my "name" suggests haha. I've just discovered your video because I am indeed about to become a driving instructor. I actually failed my part 2 exam because of observation. One of the number 1 reasons for failing a driving test. I do feel though that i wasn't giving it 100% all of the time during the exam. I feel if I was giving 100% of my attention, I would be more physically tired because my brain would be working hard. I love your content, so clear and easy to understand. Thank you
Thank you so much for the support and advice. I’m constantly trying to develop my learning and i’m always out practicing. I’ll smash it for sure next time don’t worry 😊
Hi Roland! Love the driving commentary and although not an ADI driver - just an average motorist - will put some of your comments when driving on pubic roads 😊
This video was awesome. Thank you very much for the tips. I’m looking forward for more videos with part 2 mocks and commentary driving thanks a lot. I’m doing my part 2 coming Thursday. Can u do part 2 mocks in Slough?
@@GetWheelDriving Slough is near Heathrow airport or London. I wish I take a mock with you sir. Anyway thanks a lot for your reply. Your teachings are well explained. I love it.
Great videos. I am just about to take my part 1. I qualified in 1997 and worked as an ADI until 2006, how much has the part 2 changed since 1997? Do I have to give a commentary? I have helped a few learners recently and seemed to just fall back into all my talk throughs and instruction with ease but when I watch youtube videos it makes me feel like there are a lot things that are different nowadays. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Yes Sir! Back in the car! No need for commentary on a part 2… Driving will be a bit different from when you last trained with the advent of sat nav or following road signs and being less reverse heavy. Only 2 manoeuvres on test. Eco safe driving is also now marked as a fault. Happy to help if I can!
Passed the Part 1 today 95% and 70 on the hazard. Part 2 booked for 27th Dec in Colchester. That was the only test available within 100 miles of my address!@@GetWheelDriving
Hi Roland, It's beeen almost year since I last sent this message. Please don'f forget or ignore. It's 4:20 pm uk time in Essex in ths UK and it's already dark. Any night time driving tips for all our learner and experienced drivers would be gratefully welcomed. 😊
Hey Roland. Another year has passed, 730 nights a day over a year with numerous assurances and still no updates! After all your reassurances I assume that this subject is not an important subject to report. According to the RAC over 40% of car accidents occur at night. I’ll continue watching your excellent videos but won’t badger you going forward 😢😢
It shouldn’t be a problem but develop the skill to a level that you’re comfortable doing it out loud as well as internally. Just in case you lack the confidence to do it in front of the examiner. The main priority is stay focused. Stay consciously skilled at all times.
