just a heads up the split ends 'hack' doesnt really reveal your split ends, it reveals the shorter hairs. by cutting them off you just make those shorter hairs even shorter, especially if you have layers in your hair.
Mackenzie Loney Some might be, but most of them are just shorter because they're "new" hair, which just didn't grow as long yet as the rest. That is unless your hair is really damaged.
I suggest instead of using the makeup powder used for the face to remove the oil from your hair, use baby powder. It's so much cheaper and it will smell good too.

I am not hating but, I would not do a tight braid with a hair tie to sleep in. It promotes breakage and frizz. If you must you can take an old pair of tights and cut a piece off into a chord and tie the end to make a stretchy loop. Braid your hair and use the loop as a hair tie.😊

A tip for braiding your hair at night is to only put the left over tail through the hairtie half way so it creates a bun looking thing at the bottom of the braid. This makes it so that there isn't an awkward inch of straight hair at the bottom of your waves.
