- Cabin in the woods full home tour Video. We returned 2 years later to add some snow retention bars to the cabin in the woods project. I thought it would be cool to do a full home tour and show you what one of our projects looked like 2 years later. I wanted to see how things were holding up, talk through some of the stories from the build, and over all reminisce about the Cabin in the Woods project.
Cabin in the Woods plan is available here

I love Greg. I hope he is getting a good paycheck, for his contribution to this channel. Afterall, Kyle has 1.28M subscribers, and Greg is a huge part of that success. Greg rents a house from Kyle, and if you remember they did a series on remodeling that rental home for Greg. They are a good team. Kyle…take care of your employees that are integral to your success.
I remember that series of remodeling that house.
What is kyle’s RUclips channels name ?
@@rickbudrow2230 RR Buildings. Its this channel.
I'm assured Greg is smart enough that if Kyle wasn't taking care of him well he would have moved on to a another job the fact that he stays around speaks volumes on how he's treated
@@nincompoopgarage9286 youre assuming. Not assured.
Probably the best Ryan's ruclips.net/user/postUgkxGZedDTcDfgD7fG_uU4esfx_EgxzlY2_1 Plans on building a shed is hardly ever found. And Ryan takes the mystery out of different types of foundation options, etc. He even shows how to build a shed with different designs. Very comprehensive, covering different roofing materials, siding, etc.
Many thanks to your client to allow this walk-though video.
Hey beautiful home I’ve done construction for 25 years and I do have one of my customers that I remain friends with to this day go over will have lunch together you have the same pride in that look in your eye that I do when I go over to his house looking at past projects going to still looks gorgeous keep up the good work
Bro, I wish I had an eighth of the talent you guys have. As soon as I hit the lottery, I am hiring you to build my mega post frame mansion. I really enjoy your content. Thank you both.
Amaising. ..I feel it was yesterday when I watched
all those videos.I can not believe two years passed by
Whoever did the plumbing work is truly a master at his craft
Glad to see Greg is finally getting his own microphone!
My wife looks at Greg and Kyle and says “are they twins” 😂
Just finished binge watching all 52vids. Great series to watch from other side of the world and learn different techniques. Well done on a superb job guys. Greetings and thanks from New Zealand.
wow awesome man
What's awesome about a barndominium is that you can customize them much easier than typical houses. And I'm glad he mentioned if this isn't what a person like us would like that's fine but it's what the HOME OWNER wanted. And that's what is important. You can dream it and someone can make it happen to how you want it.
Hard to believe it's already been two years. I remember all the work on those railings, but completely missed that there were no bedrooms when the segments first aired. This is a pretty impressive space!
Dang I can’t believe it’s been two years already. This is one of my favorite builds you have on the channel.
Beautiful work here. My wife's family are all in the trades, and one thing they always mention is the accomplishment they feel seeing the buildings they've built over the years. They are all much older, so imagine what it's like seeing a place you built 30 or 40 years ago! I have no doubt that the quality of your build will last generations. We are just about to start on our own build up here in the UP, and I'll be using your builds as my template. Folks here think I'm crazy, but I know they won't when they see the finished product. Thank you so much for all the time and effort it must take to film & edit all the content you so generously share.
Its mental just the 2 of you guys built this whole thing... with nail guns & powered hand tools
I agree at the beginning of the job you feel like it’s impossible and by the end you can believe it all came together
I've been following your channel for a number of years now and thoroughly enjoyed every episode of the build of the Cabin in the Woods. Like many of your viewers I'm sure, I too have said to myself, "some day I'll have to have a cabin like that."
One of the things I most enjoy about your channel is the working relationship that you and Greg have. It is always professional, but clear that you both respect each other and enjoy the relationship. The sign of a long lasting relationship that you will look back on with pride.
This was also one of the first times that I've witnessed Greg in a larger speaking role and I was not disappointed. Even though Greg appears more in the background of most of your videos, it was clear that Greg is as comfortable and articulate speaking on camera as you are.
Keep up the outstanding work and thank you for allowing us to tag along.
That's gotta be the most verbal contribution to a video Greg had ever done. I was thinking he could be a good replacement someday for Bob Vila on this old house!
It's always good to see one of your projects when it is brought to full completion. I always feel sort of left in the lurch with a good portion unfinished when your work is done... so this is a nice treat. Please pass along my thanks to the owners.
Thanks for the tour, Kyle & Greg! 👍😁
Awesome build!
Great Follow Up!
Owners: Can't Hide Money!
Thanks for coming back to this, looks amazing!
the 'Cabin in the Woods' was/is one of my favorite series in the RR YT library. thanks SO much for this follow up tour!
Love Gregg's sweatshirt in the video! Thanks for supporting Iowa Lakes Community College! I loved watching the original building series videos, so this is an awesome video to see how great it still looks after being enjoyed for a while. Keep up the great work guys!
Davenport Iowa watching
Please do something like this for yourself!! We’d love to see that!
It has to feel good to go back and look over what you guys built. Also, hats off to who has been doing your camera work. Well done.
This is one of my favorite builds by you Kyle.still a beautiful building and isn’t it fun to go back and see your work and impress yourself 2 years later. That’s one of the benefits of doing quality work. Still breath taking.
You guys do really great work. Your detail work is far better than the detail work on most stick built homes. And I love how you walk us through the small stuff. Thanks for the great content!
So glad you did a walk through. It's really nice to see 2 yrs later and how things held up. Still probably my favorite build.
Love seeing y'all admire your own work! No better feeling
I have watched the entire build of this building and I have enjoyed every moment of it. It's nice to see that the building looks just as when it was completed after 2 years.
I can't believe it has been two years since I watched that build.
Amazing work as always guys. 👍👍🏴🏴
Very beautiful house that you two built!!! Thank you for the two year reveal!!! Love your craftsmanship! Thank you again!
Excellent showcase of the quality work you two do. Great job. Perfect attention to detail.
There "party barn" Is my dream home!. That is one beautiful structure. Well done guys
Well done boys! Absolutely beautiful. Thank you for giving us a tour of the final product. Your passion and professionalism is on full display.
Kyle and Greg, one of your best projects, loved every video during the build!! Still looks fantastic!!
Beautiful place! The lack of any bedrooms is, to me, a very strange decision. But hey, it’s not my building. Glad they’re enjoying and we get to see an update.
2 years wow that went quick, still as good as the day you put it up if not better..Nice job guys.
This was a great followup! Thanks for making this happen.
By your expressions I can see you've had great feelings/emotions seeing your work all these years later. Job well done
Thanks for giving us a follow-through of your past project. 👌👌👌👍👍👍💪💪💪
Awesome review. Watched the entire series when you were building, envy of the owners. You both did a great job and to show "two people" built this is impressive!!!!
Loved watching the series. Thanks for taking us back for a visit.
Still looks amazing. I love the work you do.
This project looks Incredible you guys did a awesome job. Can't wait till your next video on another build . Love your work .
Very nice place. You guys should be extremely proud. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the walk through. I watched this series and it's cool to see it completed. You and Greg have a great thing going and I hope it continues for a long time. Kyle, as far as building something like this for yourself I would do it sooner then later. Old man time catches up on us way faster than we want.....LOL
Kyle, the barndominium build would be an awesome video for a walk around. Awesome work guys.
Good to see a finished walk through - gives a much better feeling for scale and finish.
absolutely amazing.
The workmanship looks outstanding!
I loved this build series. Still looks awesome.
Congratulations you and Greg have done a really great job. I like the style of your buildings a lot.
I remember this one. The wood milling was awesome on this.
It looks like a giant club house to hang out in.
I really like the wood work on this one, with the knotty natural wood!
Looks fantastic. Thanks for the walk-through.
Fiberglass Batts and perforated liner panel would help reduce noise in floor / ceiling cavity.
Good job guys love the video And really truly enjoy Watching the channel
Insulation is key for all noise inside. I insulate all my inside walls. Even just R19 makes a huge difference. In a nice open floor plan the other options to help are flooring type (add rugs) and wall hangings and curtains for the windows. Your 4 part post is actually something several Pole Barn co. do up here in Idaho. Inside outside they do great with less twist and all that fun stuff. I just got a job where they have a deck over a porch and they want the porch protected from water/weather so that's going to be fun. Also, another popular thing to use in trim areas is using rope for accents around doors and windows. Looks great guys!!! Well done! Your quality and attention to detail is what made me subscribe to your channel way back.
Loved this build. Can’t believe it’s been two years
Love this style of video
Looks amazing
you two make such a beautiful couple
I've been waiting to see this project finished. It turned out incredible and I would have decorated it exactly the same way!
Great build. It was really fun to watch as you worked on this building. Also nice to hear more from Greg.
Beautiful cabin Gents !
LETS GOOO!! Been waiting for this one!
I think it’s awesome you still work in your business some times I get down on my self cause I feel like I’m not successful because I still do most of the work my self but then I watch your channel and it reminds me that’s just not true. Keep up the good work! I love going back to a project a couple years later and seeing what you need to change in your process to make things last longer.
You guys are inspiring me to try and get buildings like this popular in the pac NW. Love the channel. Keep up the awesome work!
amazing build
I love the exterior! It gives me an idea for mine in the future. I love the idea of this being for family gatherings.
I remember this build. I followed this one closely when yall were building. Still looks amazing just like when yall finished it.
Well done guys, would be nice to see some more short revisits of past projects.
Well done guys
A place to gather. Extremely Nice!
GOOD AFTERNOON
Thanks for the tour! It really did turn out great! I remember watching all the episodes to this one. I remember you built the trim casing for the doors before you hung them. I'm wanting to say you used some kind of joiners on the corners and glued them. all the hard work on those paid off, obviously! Because they look like they were hung yesterday; still fresh!
If that place were mine, I'd put in some fold-out couches for the grownups and bunks for the kids, add a hot tub outside that fits a dozen people, and hold meteor parties whenever the leonids and perseids came around.
Lookin' real good, great work!
What an awesome "cabin" you and Greg built for these people
I watched this build and loved the series and now to see it two years later is a treat. The building still looks like a just completed build. I have already see n the snow trap video. I am surprised that the building doesn't echo (not like the times during the construction).
Amazing you and Greg should be proud
I'd love to see a walk-through of the house you built your parents. Especially the post frame home with a basement! Great work!!
That is truly fantastic how that's held up and the way it looks I do remember you worked very hard on the wood plugs on the stair post quite hard would have been nice to have seen how those held up and look now. But is always great job guys wish you were in Georgia
Great to see Greg wearing the "Iowa Lakes" sweatshirt! Hope those students are using those tools to learn and become assets to the building trades!
Great looking work will stand test of time. Great workmanship and decent materials
Love it, just before 16:20 I was thinking, this was the flor that was 1/2 way done and you guys pulled it all back out and started over....
Beautiful
Seeing other people's design/decor choices gives me ideas and thoughts about how I design for myself. Even if it's not a choice I would make, I'm learning.
Excellent build! It does not look a day old!
Love the walk through this video series was great. Thanks to last weeks video I’ve noticed snow bars on every metal building I see 😂
Wow, This was awesome to be able to see how poeple are using the spaces and see how it looks after a couple years. you guys are true craftsman in your field. You just don't get many small business like you have any more. Most owners build a few, then get so busy pumping out estimates and new jobs that the original true craftsman ends up a desk jockey and will spend the rest of their lives looking for a few men that will have and understand quality like they did and Subing out the actual work. .
daaamn that was amazing building ! wow my dream house right thgere
Blown away this was 2years ago
I'm dying for more long-term tours!
La satisfacción de presentar un trabajo de calidad y hecho profesionalmente!... 😉
Tell Greg “good job”! He owned his presence!!
Looks good!
Impressive!!!
No Leg Greg is a great co host. Nice episode like the change.
