For 55 bucks that ridgeline roof tie off seems very good value. And you don't have to worry about removing/moving it during construction. Just put up 3-4 of them and you are good to go, and they are there if needed later for maintenance or addons like solar panels.
Unfortunately I have 26 screws and 3 pins in my right foot for not using some type of safety device. I'm here to tell you don't try to save money or skimp out in this area. You won't regret it
One of the many things that I appreciate about you guys is that you're always open to new ideas and innovations to improve the way you work. Never stop learning!
4:11 "A quarter inch down there is inches up there." Oh...you were talking about construction. Right...of course...ahem...uh...well, then 🤣 Have a great day, Kyle and Greg. Love your channel.
That shear was a lot less than I thought it would be. I think if I built post frame for a living I would buy the straight and another one for the most common pitch you use. It wouldn’t take too long to pay for itself in time savings.
I didn't realise that you sell plans, and I've been watching you for years. Drop that nugget more often. I'm probably 7 years away from building a post frame home, but (now that I know) I'm definitely buying your plans when I get there!
I really wish you were on the good end of the State in Southern Illinois. I am going to get my Barndo up this year and will be using the Amish for the task, since they are the only ones I would trust, besides RR builders..
Good on you for always trying to improve an already great product. I have watched your channel for awhile and the improvements are impressive. Both quality of the video and builds. Do you ever take on/consider builds out of state (Beautiful Colorado?)
11:30 Can you drill the head off of the rivet to remove it? Because that's one reason why I will rivet something together, so I can take it apart in the future.
Great show , lots of new and improved tools to make your jobs easier, but.here is a question one for you Greg/Kyle where can you buy a right handed imperial tape measure, i have only seen left handed ones and left and right handed metric tapes.
Enjoy seeing RR and Marshall going through the Expo. Kyle, got to get your guys to push your videos faster. Lol. Marshall beat you by a week reviewing the same things. Both videos and guys are great and I enjoy yall. Keep it up.
Great video as always! I am interested in the roof tie-offs but do not see any to accommodate 2x4 purlins set on edge. Given your typical build practice, Kyle, I would assume you too would be in the market for such a version of these. I will be contacting the Company to see if such a style is forthcoming.
Kyle, I have a possibly dumb question, but you are so approachable on your jobs, I think I'm gonna go ahead and ask ( other commenters be damned). Is post frame basically balloon framing with more modern, better, more well engineered materials? That might be a break through at least in my understanding of an old technique that fell by the wayside because we lacked the quality of natural framing lumber but now have them thanks to modern engineered materials.
Hi Kyle, just my two Cents 1. Those riveter adapter are garbage don't buy 2. Fall protection: always remember: if you hang in the air you have only few minutes until you must be rescued otherwise you die or have very serious posttraumatic consequences Buy expensive body harness, where you can hang longer without your blood being cut off.
I love my stabila levels but there warranty and customer service sucks. It would be better if they didn’t have a warranty at all. There’s no point in even trying to make a warranty claim. Just my experience.

That was my favorite as well. Forwarded it to a builder friend.
I feel like it would create a space for snow or high-wind rain to blow back up in.

Love the insight you guys provide on Post Frame. Hope you share more trade-show walk throughs.
Nice show. Thanks for taking us along.
What a couple of good looking builders. I always learn a lot from you guys, thanks for bringing it to us.
15:54 that's like a Forstner bit for the dirt. Very clever.
Exactly
Going through stabila like you own the damn place 😂.
'triple dipped' Maze Nails...best galvy ringshanks PERIOD!!

that little magnetic roof tack gadget for the hammer is gold
Great show! Might have to check that out one day!!

Agree 100% that’s why I own a shear
@@RRBuildings sorry David for commenting on your video, just wanted to tag Kyle in case he didn't know this comment section is loaded with spam yet.
I’ve seen this same add before when I commented on one of his videos. Glad you maybe brought his attention to it.
Excellent video! Lots of cool and useful products. Keep up the great work, and keep those videos coming!!
17:05 you guys look like brothers there. 💙
Ridgeline safety is cool.
Thanks for the video
Now the truth comes out! Kyle is a natural lefty. No wonder he can pound nails left handed SO well! Busted Buddy.
I’m a lefty but grew up learning eighty
@@RRBuildings righty
Those nail bags looked pretty good!!! Please give them a shoot
Hey guys, see you next year in Des Moines, IA. Paul is having an open house out at his place, see you there!
Very cool. Love the new products coming out
Absolutely loved this video, awesome tools!
I personally like the hammers with magnetic tip.
It wasn’t the hammer so much as an attachment. I’m a sucker for a hammer. Probably buy one.
Yep. Gottem at Von Tobel.
Wish this video was longer with more products and demonstrations. Really wish I could have been there.

Shoutout Peru IL maze nails
"No, I'm not doing that" That was funny Greg..
Man Kyle knows how to make a show video. In and out of a booth quick and damn near knows more than the people at the booth!😂
The hammer magnet looked to be money for the smaller fasteners
See ya in Des Moines next year.

The way the guy looked at you when you tested the shear in the first clip 😂

Yes
greg said the rivets so that he could say you messed up. Very funny!

I wonder how many of these company's see a surge once Kyle says he likes it!
I’d hope all! They are doing good things they deserve some recognition
@OfficialRRBuildings. you guys tell me this every time I comment. But I don’t know anything about telegram

What manufacturer do you use for the trusses and do you have them designed by the manufacturer.
Atlas truss in Rockford

Very similar… think advanced balloon frame
Fire safety is another reason balloon framing isn't as popular. Fire can travel from the floor to the attic in seconds.
The fire safety is also solved by technology and practices that eliminate a lot of the fire risks

It's truly sad that our big home centers do not carry USA made products in addition to the Chinesium. Especially when it comes to nails...
Had no clue this was goin on in my city. Would’ve loved to check it out! Also it’s pronounced Lewey-ville😇
It’s only pronounced Lewey by those who don’t know that it’s pronounced Luhl ..... 💃
you guys could be brothers. You look exactly alike
Didn’t know Cody Johnson the country singer did building expos
Do you have plans for sale for a 40x40 with 12 foot side walls for sale
I am from India and you
is that a synthetic t-shirt that you're wearing Kyle?
yo, Greg! 📣
Stupid question for anyone who can help. Can anyone explain why some people space wall girts at 32” opposed to the standard 24”?
Wait! You forgot your camera!
