Probably the most tragic scene I have seen in a c drama. We see characters die all the time in dramas, but this one hit especially hard because she didn't die saving the world, or for a significant other. After all that cruelty and having suffered so much, she just gave up. She gave up her son, she gave up Ye Hua, she gave up the possibility of a life with them. That was the most tragic thing about this.

They get married (although they only show the wedding procession) in the follow up to Eternal Love. Which is called Eternal Love of Dream. I don't think I'd have forgiven Yu Hua though. He practically deserted her (even though he thought he was doing the right thing to protect her) when he took her to the Heavens and left her to be abused and ill treated by almost everyone. He lacked a backbone and wouldn't stand up to his grandfather. He accepted Su Jin as his concubine (albeit he didn't sleep with her) and even though he told her to keep away from him he still allowed her to interfere in his life. I wanted Su Su to end up with Mo Yuan.
This scene was so depressing but I’m glad she did it. This taught everyone around her not to be careless with her feelings, especially Ye Hua. I usually would never ever encourage suicide as an answer, but in her case she couldn’t even turn to heaven, which is the one place everyone should usually always be able to turn to. Plus this allowed her to ascend to Goddess status
As far as I can remember, Su Su's intention was not suicide. Su Jin told her that if she jumps down, she will go back to where she came from (mortal world).
@@inia92 I also thought that too when I first watched the show, but then when Su Jin pretended to fall in and got severely injured, SuSu saw it all and also kept saying that she never pushed her. I always thought that scene had clarified to SuSu that jumping off the terrace is actually lethal, not just a way to return to the mortal world, but that’s just my interpretation

I'll be fine on my own" and she told Ye Hua what SuJin had told her that if she jump off, she'll be able to return to where she should return to. But of course, she may have suicide intention, she just wants to make Ye Hua feels better by saying she'll be fine. So what you said also make sense.

The movie made me appreciate my marriage even more. Many people, no matter how hard they try, can't get the one they love. Suffering, regret, regret, nostalgia...kills people slowly.
This would not have happened had he defended her as he should have and just taken her back to the mortal world. He deserves his pain, it is nothing compared to hers. Oh, and remember, she also knows that Evil B***h is being married to Ye Hua and she told him if he ever betrayed her, she would leave and never see him again. I don't believe he knows she has been told this so something even worse has been thrown into her heart to show that even if she loves him, she can't trust him.
The plot is actually more complicated than it seems, starting with the fact that the two are trapped in heaven, if they went back to the mortal world, Ye Hua would slowly die because the place of immortals is not in the mortal realm, and then Susu, since his curse was to live like a mortal. These are facts that the book explains, but of course it makes everyone indignant

It looks like there is quite a difference between the two since he traveled between the two realms without being trapped in Heavenly realm while she was "doing time" in the Mortal realm until she was caught and brought there (in the drama). (Well the drama doesn't explain anything, I understand you)
he has done a lot to protect her from behind the scenes, including taking on the lightning strikes for her. He had to distance himself from her to make it seem like he didnt really love her, so that his father would not see her as his "distraction" from the important things and kill her... but the problem is because this couple lacked communication and he didnt share with her what he was going through and doing for her, he only told her to wait for him.. and it didnt help that she seemed to be having pre and post natal depression! but this was her fate and the tribulation she has to go through as a god/immortal, they need to pass through the Love Trial sometime in their "career" as a god...
This is not eternal love.... Eternal love the demonic one was a lady not a man and princess Fuji was never blind in it neither did she had any seal with her.... Same Donghua but we don't have Dilreba in the movie here
I truly can't blame Su su. The heavens were such a cruel and cold place. People were gunning so much for her. Like come on, the poor girl is mortal and would have died quite quickly compared to them. Though I do blame Ye hua too.

Ye Hua already didn't like or trust Su Jin. Su Su revealing it was Su Jin who tricked her into jumping to her death ruined any chance of redemption with him. She deserved even worse than that sword to the heart. She forgot that he would have to tolerate his family basically no matter what. She was adopted and used up all her family's good reputation when all her crimes came out later.

Its a cultural (?? Religious??) thing? Theres this saying of reincarnation, if you die you get reborn as something else based on your karma generated in life LOL. To be born an immortal like those in the drama you have to rack up a shit ton of good karma. Only for them to waste it away like SuJin. Even these "immortals" dont live forever, they can die and then they will get punished for their evil deeds.

They GOUGE HER EYES from her... in the drama, they make it look easy... The last words of Susu: I wish I have never met you... (I think there's also a line that if she were to go back in time, she will not rescue him) It was truly devastating... It was such a shame that when she jumped from the portal - her MIND was truly mixed and muddled... if it was not - she will not DRINK the OBLIVION Tea and forget - she will rather CANCEL their engagement - after all she is BAI QIAN... Susu's chapter was truly so sad and tragic... it was one of the heaviest LOVE TRIAL that ever created...

those who think Ye Hua did not do anything to help her then you are wrong... well this is just my own opinion base on all the dramas i have watched and novels i have read with this type of genre... usually an immortal heir to a throne loving a mortal is consider their heart's demon meaning she's an obstacle and must be eliminated to pave the so called brighter future for them... so to protect BQ he must act like he did or else even the Emperor will make a direct move instead.
That's fine but he NEVER told her the reasoning. He allowed her to feel abandoned at her most vulnerable time. Pregnancy is hard enough but to feel unloved, be schemed against and be lonely 90% of her time there...it's enough to understand why she felt the need to leave. Silence didn't have to be apart of his "protection", most of the problems in these dramas is the complete misunderstanding of the hero because he refuses to tell his love interest the whole truth.
I feel sad for A Li the most. Growing up without his Mom, it must have been hard. Like where does he run to if his Dad is pissed? I understand she was mad and heartbroken but even after regaining her memories and life back, why didn't she just grab A Li and live as a single Mom? Her family would've taken her side and broke relations with the father's family..

He said it as "it's the fact that everybody said and he must accept to protect Su Su". He said it so Emperor believed that he didn't love Su Su. But of course she misunderstood because they never had any conversation of basic trust to each other. Ye Hue didn't share and Su Su never asked. Both sides just assumed the situation.

those who think Ye Hua did not do anything to help her then you are wrong... well this is just my own opinion base on all the dramas i have watched and novels i have read with this type of genre... usually an immortal heir to a throne loving a mortal is consider their heart's demon meaning she's an obstacle and must be eliminated to pave the so called brighter future for them... so to protect BQ he must act like he did or else even the Emperor will make a direct move instead.
That's fine but he NEVER told her the reasoning. He allowed her to feel abandoned at her most vulnerable time. Pregnancy is hard enough but to feel unloved, be schemed against and be lonely 90% of her time there...it's enough to understand why she felt the need to leave. Silence didn't have to be apart of his "protection", most of the problems in these dramas is the complete misunderstanding of the hero because he refuses to tell his love interest the whole truth.

I feel sad for A Li the most. Growing up without his Mom, it must have been hard. Like where does he run to if his Dad is pissed? I understand she was mad and heartbroken but even after regaining her memories and life back, why didn't she just grab A Li and live as a single Mom? Her family would've taken her side and broke relations with the father's family..
