She wasn't his wife, but Su Su was. She was just obsessed with him and he only ever thought of her as a sister. Her obsession and his idiotic treatment of Su Su once she was brought to Nine Heavens all fed into this tragedy.

It's nice she conveniently forgot that she bullied the love of his life, lied to Heavenly Lord, tried to kill her while she was pregnant, stole her eyes, then taunted her about it and basically sent her to her death. Gee, I wonder why he stabbed you?🤔

I was so happy he stabbed her especially for all the evil things & tricks she used to drive SuSu away. Yehua couldn’t stomach her presence….even when they were younger she would always pursue him and he would always give her the cold shoulder. Her one-sided love was pathetic! One of the best scenes in this drama.
To me this was the most satisfying part of the drama…and even after this she still was delusional. If i got stabbed by a man, I definitely would get the picture!!!! My favorite drama. My favorite male lead. Love me some Ye hua. Strong, smart, sexy, manly, fierce, serious, and that hair 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘

For me too!!! Imho its Ye hua and qian qian and the music. We cried a lot but in the end it was worth it. Something about Ye hua that no other male lead has!!!!
We all long for our person to love us deeply, consciously without hesitation, and with a strong conviction of their love. I do really like ye hua love for susu. Oh yes, this scene is epic and somehow satisfying of recompense even for a short moment.
I always find it funny when evil characters assume everyone around them is gullible enough to buy into their lies just because a few do. Su Jin really thought Yehua believed her lies about Susu and that as soon as Susu was gone he'd be hers. Because he'd be so in love with her and everything *before* Susu was there so clearly Susu was the problem, not that he could see her for the two-faced snake she was capable of being when anyone stood in the way of what she believed was hers by right of...well her wanting it 🙄🤨. Yehua never gave any indication of having feelings for her, but because everyone *else* kept saying they were such a good match etc, she firmly believed that one day he'd give into the pressure and be with her. And she is partially right, to be fair. He is forced to marry her as a side consort. But the inevitable outcome was what it was always going to be; him forcibly married to a woman he hated so wanting next to nothing to do with her, and her bitterly swiping or using anyone who he could possibly like over her and denigrating Susu's memory every chance she got, while trying to convince him that just being in his palace was enough when her actions said very much otherwise. So her surprise and shock that he wasn't chomping at the bit to marry the woman who was largely responsible for his love's misery that led to her committing suicide, is seriously hilarious. That she she really thought she was smarted than him just because he couldn't do anything about it because his hands were tied shows that she may be cunning, but her understanding of the object of her obsession is really very limited.

Hate the character but I can almost understand her thoughts. After all Ye Hua went out of his way to treat Su Su badly, even took her eyes to give to crazy lady. This was that crazy trope "I must hurt her to protect her" but he was the one who actually drove her make the jump because of that.

Not really, she was hurt by him but she wouldn't jump in that terrace if Su Jin didn't feed her the idea that she would go back to where she came from.
I absolutely love this drama but just wish that he'd explained everything to Su Su. His actions become more understandable later on but Su Su suffered for it. I just wish Su Jin was punished more severely though. I thought she got off too lightly.
