    Excellent series of videos. Full credit to you and your team for getting the trailer built in such a short amount of time. Looks great and very functional.

    I just watched the entire series and recognized the area code for your location on your trailer. you are only about 2 hours south me me. I am our Mobile Unit engineer at WNEP in Scranton. Great video enjoyed how your unit came together. Well done... Maybe we will pass sometime on the road.

      That's wild! I quite enjoy the Scranton area!
      I'll be sure to hit you up if we're up that way and need a freelance engineer or op! You should fill out the freelance form on the Mythology website to be added to the freelancer database 👍

      @BroadcastBuddyTV yeah. I freelancer as a td and tape op for year in philly/baltimore/ny but that was quite some time. Once we went automated I got rusty fast. I saw you built up the Ross overdrive templates at wpmt. I did the same up here at wnep when I was a director.

    The trailer looks great!! Can explain the openTruck standard?

    • @BroadcastBuddyTV
      @BroadcastBuddyTV  Год назад +6

      Thank you!!
      openTruck is an initiative that was started by Ross Video (similar concept to their openGear frame). It "involves partnerships with equipment manufacturers, system integrators, truck builders, mobile producers and freelance operators. openTruck designs support varying crew capacities, sometimes even supporting twice the number of positions normally found in a vehicle of a particular size. Smaller vehicles and enclosures provide better fuel efficiency, which leads to significantly lower costs to travel from event to event.
      openTruck is vehicle agnostic and can be built in varying sizes depending on your specific needs. Flight packs, Sprinter type vans, trailers, and forty foot boxes have all have been deployed enjoying all the various advantages of openTruck."
      You can check out more on their website: opentruck.tv :)

    It's funny that you guys have the same language problem on what is the front and rear as we do. Our large trailer has a very similar seating arrangement where the main production is located at the rear of the trailer phasing backward but everyone keeps referring to it as the front. I try to use slightly different words when referring to trailer parts in production (front / vision / audio) and setup for movement (bow / stern) just to be consistent.
    Oh and congrats on going live and surviving the first gig.

      Cost will varry on your sales acquisition methods and dealers. I usually go direct to Ross for gear and the other stuff through my dealer. Miscellaneous stuff through sites like Markertek, B&H, and Amazon.

      Hi!
      We haven't really been asked to do an EDL, but the Carbonite switcher is capable of producing one. I already have LTC running to it, so I'd just need to run it to the Hyper Decks and we'd be able to present one with the ISO records.
