    Breaking Nadal's Roland Garros record is literally impossible. First of all, most pro players don't even last 14 seasons. Even if they do, someone would have to win Roland Garros starting as the youngest champion at 17 years old and win it EVERY SINGLE YEAR until he's 31. Or alternatively win it for the first time at 22 years old and keep winning until he's 36, becoming the oldest Roland Garros champion of all time. Or anything in between those ages, which is equally unfathomable.

    • @minyrar7107
      @minyrar7107 2 года назад +9

      @@hus390 I can take that from any other slam. But with Rafa’s ridiculous record in RG, you have to wonder if something was wrong with him in those particular days. Turned out something was indeed wrong with him in those particular days.
      In 2020 Tsonga and other players made public that Rafa was sick in that match he lost to Soderling in 2009. To this date, Rafa has not said a word. But there you have a possible explanation.
      2015 was Rafa’s worst year. He didn’t win a single clay court match in the European wing and won only one title in the whole year. Rafa calls that year the mentally injured year. Granted, Djokovic won fair and square, but he didn’t beat the best version of Rafa, because the best version of Rafa is unbeatable there, and considering that Wawrinka won the final, well, you just have to wonder if Djokovic was really the player to beat that year.
      And in 2021 is undeniable that Rafa’s foot gave him a lot of problem during that match and the reason why he missed the rest of the 2021 tennis season.
      It’s not taking anything away from the other players, it is taking a look at those three particular matches and analyze Rafa’s physical/mental condition those years to confirm if they beat the best version of Rafa. Point is, they didn’t.

      @ubilicious1887 2 года назад

      @@minyrar7107 you are spot on with your analysis.
      I'll talk about his loss to Soderling.
      I study Nadal like a book when he plays. It was very obvious that he was handicapped sometime in the third set if my memory is right.
      He was moving gingerly around the baseline and was looking very funny, especially when receiving serve.
      In fact in that 4th set it was clear he couldn't move freely and was suffering an ailment.
      What i found frustrating is that he didn't say anything about an injury during the post match interviews. It's good to be humble and not take the credit from Soderling but i thought it was ridiculous he didn't mention the injury.
      For those who doubt he was injured against Soderling, let me bust your bubble. His next match after that loss was an appearance in one of the pre wimbledon tournaments, and in his first match he was still moving gingerly from the first exchanges and retired and pulled out from the first match and skipped Wimbledon.

Each match of these two titans have gone the distance. So to give a opening to these two is like facing a raging bull. These two have incredible record while playing 5 setters. He started showing interest in 2018,2019,2022 but his age and injuries are stopping him from it
      He tried to win 3rd Wimbledon title in 2011,2012,2018,2019,2022 but he lost to Djokovic and Federer in finals and semifinals
      Just 2 weeks between French open and Wimbledon is so strange mostly

      He would be tied with John McEnroe and Boris Becker in Wimbledon titles
      But he is Tied with Jimmy Connors,

Before Nadal, the previous record for open era most French Open belongs to Cris Evart with 7 titles, which Nadal broke. Woh! she was a wonderful player and Nadal exactly has double of her tally now. In order to beat Nadal's record someone should play at least 14 seasons and win Roland Garros every year from when he's 20 to when he's 34.
