True Bulgarian split squat back leg only supposed to go 3-6 inches elevated. Because commercial gyms usually only have flat bench or plyo box , un educated trainers thought good idea to put a stupid client on them. And then it spread like wild fire. Also knees over toes has been debunked, it's fine to an extent
I injured my knee while doing normal squats with a barbell and weights on it. I was pushing myself to hard for quick results and my knee hurts even while i run now. ☹☹
Can someone please explain this to me: i did glute dominant bulgarian SS yesterday and could totaly feel it in my left glute (non dominant side). However, i could barely feel it on my right glute.ANd felt it in my quad. Now my right quad hurts...if my feet and angles were in the same position for each side, WHY did i only feel this in my right quad!? Please help
If you try and perform this exercise when you're not a female you will explode on the spot. I've seen it happen at the gym too many times. Don't risk it, brother.
When performed correctly, the Bulgarian split squat is among one of the best leg and stability building exercises - Injuries only arise when lifters don't know how properly execute the movement or start off too heavily where they overcompensate and put the joints at risk for injury (either during the exercise itself or getting into position to begin the exercise).
Muscle & Strength well you're doing it wrong! True Bulgarian split squat, the back leg is only supposed to be elevated 3-6 inches at most, the idea of higher is because commercial gyms usually only have flat benches or plyo boxes and the stupid trainers thought hey lets use this and there created a fad that can't be stopped. Also your knees are going over toes but that whole thing has been de bunker, it's fine if it goes over to an extent.
Thank you for your feedback. Sure, if your gym has a bulgarian split squat implement, it's always more beneficial to use that piece of equipment. But for those who want to practice the movement, performing them on a bench or plyo box is perfectly fine - so long as you execute the exercise properly. And yes, you're correct about the knee over toe myth being debunked - it's fine depending on your limb and lever length. For those of average height or shorter, however, it's probably safer to pick a stance that prevents the knee from tracking over the toe.
Muscle & Strength I don't mean "Stupid workout" as in it's not effective, what i mean is there will be stupid people throwing on the same weight they would lift on two legs and injure themselves. But this is correct form with low weight so it's all good, strictly talking about people who will try their max weight.
I think is one of the best example of how to execute correctly. 🙌💪
🤣😂😂😂🤣🤣😂
I recently start doing it. It is one of my favorite leg exercises! Great video ❤️
That's awesome! Such a great leg exercise - Thank you for watching and commenting!

Search Knees Over Toes Guy
A good way to help with knee pain is by holding a leg extension for about 45s-1min on a low weight
Always hurts my right quad when working the left with this exercise, did strain it years ago tho
Great exercise index 👍

Thank YOU for watching! 🙂
Luv this Girl
Thanks for watching!
You need to make sure your foot goes over your toes because this emphasis uses more quad activation
Bodybuilders🤨
The top of the foot should be resting on the bench/box not the toe.
You have no idea how wrong you are.
When you execute this exercise without any bench, would rest you foot or keep it on the toe...?
disagree with knees over toes, with adequate mobility and correct form, its safe
Idk bout y’all but dude in the back using 100lb facts!!
Is this exercise only for female or not?
Not at all! Can be performed by both sexes.
😂😂😂😂🤦

@@iphone202020220 You should probably have just said that then. Saying 'Stupid workout' does not relate to any of that paragraph that you wrote out.
Call me next time you Squat , I'm a little concerned about your form and I definitely need to spot you.
In my opinion girls should not look like this. It just looks bad for eye too see that biceps on girl...
patkA they should look like whatever they want to look like
someone's mad she has bigger biceps than u 💀💀
It shouldn't affect you enough to dislike them. They can do whatever they want, even if it means being stronger than you.
Your opinion simply don't matter
