It's painfully powerful when you allow the lyrics and the melody to guide you. It's a journey and it's one painful insight to another which leads to that emotional outburst in the end. Beautifully done

It's because it is the climax of the entire show! Every second of fun and joy experienced by all of the other cats throughout the show are completely overpowered by the sheer longing and desperation of Grisabella to rejoin the Jellicle Cats. She yearns to be touched and embraced by the other cats more than her life itself. She doesn't give af about the Heavyside Lair: all she craves is love.
Cats is so underrated, and Cats (2019) is still a travesty.

@@Olivia-gk9vvIt's all about breath support. Make sure that you break up the phrasing in a way that makes sense soundwise and leaves you with plenty of air throughout. Always make sure that your support is breathing and not tensing up your throat or you can damage yourself, even possibly blowing out your voice if you strain too hard. Upright posture is important for getting good deep breaths too. I hope this helps! 😊

You'd probably really struggle in the bit after the interlude, that is really low as it is. But it would make the higher parts more doable, I agree :P

You write correctly "instrumental (or playback) with lyrics", but karaoke it ain't. Lyrics are not synched, that simple. Your title fools the search engine and we waste our time.
Hi MishaG9 - the lyrics on these videos appear about 1 second before you need to sing the line (just enough time to take a breath!). Hope that helps - we're not trying to fool anyone, I think lots of people consider this 'karaoke' anyways. If you're looking for highlighted lyrics, all of our new videos are animated to highlighted as you sing the line!
@@sing2piano Karaoke was invented so that people with little or no experience could easily sing following the dots (the jumping dots in those times). Most people are not pros, they just would like to sing the songs and need the jumping dots or highlighted text not to get lost. Anyone who knows the song well doesn't need a prompt.
The fact that lots of people consider this a karaoke does not mean they are correct, just confused. There are too many to count cases like this here in YT and in some cases they don't even show the lyrics. In some cases the melody is included as well, voiding the prurpose of a karaoke which is to give the singer freedom to interpret the song the way he/she likes it.

It's correctly synched, now that's a karaoke. "kara" is japanese for "empty" and "oke" is the shortening of "orchestra" an empty orchestra without a singer, just the accompaniment with thw synched lyrics. So simple.
