as a car guy, i love having these videos play in the background or just watch them when im bored... im fairly confident i could go as far as replacing/repairing the valve body if needed from all these vids lol
I'm definitely impressed with the mechanic here. Whoever designed this, and all his/her accomplices, should be locked away and never allowed to design anything again. Unreplaceable filter and common failure of two tiny, cheap diaphragms burried deep inside an inaccessible location is a crime against humanity.
I was like you once as a tech.Complained that engineers did this and that and blah blah blah. I went back to school and now work for a 2nd tier Auto supplier. Turns out engineers and designers have no decision making powers. It's all based on cost and the products YOU buy as a consumer. I know it's a hard pill to swallow, but if you think you can do better, go ahead and get your Mech eng degree and show em how it's done champ. X)

Outstanding video. Amazing expertise displayed. After seeing the integral parts of this automatic transmission and listening to the brief explanation of how it works, I was wondering what adversely happens to these mechanisms, if anything, when the vehicle is allowed to coast in neutral.

Hello, I have a 2011 Toyota Rav 4 AWD and I love the series you did on the 2010 Rav 4 and I did everything you did on every single video but there is no video on the transmission or the rear differential. Are you considering doing a video on removing and tearing down the Transmission and the Rear differential on a 2010-1011 Rav4? Please let me know Thank You
Great video. Very few videos out there that show this detail and explanation of the parts functions. Would be great if there are videos for the Chrysler transmissions also (mini vans).

Very good Video. I am facing 1st gear engagement issue after driving for sometime(around 50-100KM). it doesn't appear during ambient temp. I am able to select first gear by moving to stick to manual/sports mode and select first gear and drive. if not, the vehicle judders while trying to engage first gear.
We rebuilt the 4l65e transmission out of 02 Envoy SE 2 wd. But now it will only go in reverse. We haven't fully connected gear shift linkage would that be the cause. Reverse is in 1st gear position and wont go into park position??
+Deborah Ann Tallon We wouldn't be able to diagnose an issue like that here, you may want to have a local mechanic take a look at it. Thanks for checking us out! 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c
+Nick R There could be a few different things causing this problem, and we would suggest getting a diagnosis from a local mechanic to determine the exact cause.
My respect to Andy's skill, my contempt to the engineers that designed a piece of incredibly complex machinery that can be brought down by a flimsy little diaphragm that can't be repaired without tearing most of the vehicle apart
Wow man. This is sweet! Y’all should host an episode with SpeedKar99. I’d love to see you guys pick each others brains. Also sub incoming One last thing, I really appreciate that you showed us Andy putting the whole car back together. Not many channels do such a thing, with detail.
great video, I have a 2013 ford escape with a 6f35 transmission, my problem is that the transmission doesn't go into gear right away then it does, then i pops out and loses power but once I get on the highway it runs great with no problems until I exit the highway, could it be the trans or the solenoids?
Quick question does the transmission valve body cvt for a Nissan murano 2007 needs to be reprogrammed before it's being placed in the vehicle? P1777 is the code
I love automatic transmissions, you can also learn by taking it apart and play with like a toy like a little kid, and don't forget the cookies 🍪 to yum yum to go with it, put a little transmission fluid on the cookies and um um good,
I have an important question for me. When the seloniod of transmission don't function (donot switch from gear 3 to 4 easily) do i have to fully replace the solenoid or do i only replace the valves in the solenoid??
This is the one job better left to someone who does it for a living. I’ll pull and reinstall a trans. Beyond that: “A man has got to know his limitations.” -Clint Eastwood as Dirty Harry. Edit was spell correct.

Funny....I did a rebuild on my 1.6 Liter fwd 2013 Ford Escape. There was another video of a Ford technician rebuilding it. All I did was watched the video a million times, but I successfully rebuilt the transmission without knowing jack about the parts I replaced. Absolutely no clue about how all these parts go hand and hand. It would be nice to actually understand how they work together.
