A Jordan XX comeback would be awesome. I remember that TV commercial, where the shoes evolves from 1 to 20.
Especially the 20s! The storytelling aspect by Tinker is one of his best designs, I would so love a pair!
2016 the Navys dropped, retailed for $250 but went on sale at many retailers.

Haha! Being a band nerd in high school, that is absolutely a marching band shoe. When it was 100 degrees outside, we would open the top flap of the uniform just like those shoes do so we wouldn’t suffocate under all that polyester.

My first Air Jordan purchase with my own money, being a teen working at Mervyns before they went out of business, was the red suede Air Jordan XXI’s. Loved those things! Before my uncle stole them and pawned them! 😭 wish they would retro those but not sure that’ll ever happen.
I’m Lebanese Chris things like hummus, and baba ghanoush are considered appetizers for us not condiments I don’t know about for Americans even though I’m Lebanese American we used to have a restaurant called the rack of lamb and they would be on the appetizer portion of the menu.
The 16 is actually my most favorite Air Jordan of all time... followed by the 18, 17, ,& 15. I'm still so mad, I sold my Midnight Navy's back in 2020. Been waiting for the Cherrywood colorway that I had 8th grade Summer, going into high school as a freshman to finally retro. Also, the Ginger 16's my brother hadas well. 💯

Would love to get my hands on a pair of 16s…. I had the lows in black freshman year of HS. But I think I always like the mids more without the shroud. Definitely should’ve grabbed the white navy pair from a few years ago
The 16 was my favorite Jordan of all time. I had a pair of the breds when I was a kid, and both without and without the shroud, the shoe looked awesome. I've been really close to buying a used pair offline, but I've recently learned that many Jordan retros and OGs that are from the 2000s often need major repairs, specifically a re-glue of the mids to the uppers. I've sank a lot of time and money trying to re-glue Jordan 20s and 19s, and it can be very difficult doing it right.
Doing new retros for shoes like the 16s, 19s, and 20s would not only be amazing, but incredibly worth it (no more major repair projects). The 19 breds are gorgeous. The snakeskin shrouds look beautiful when the sun hits them, and they are one of the most comfortable pairs of Jordan's I've ever worn.

I would absolutely LOVE to see more varied retros. If those black & red 16s released I'd NEED a pair, (I even liked the 16.5s), and definitely the 21s.
I would like to see the 22s again they look like something made in 2022

My OG navy’s crumbled and fell apart at a Kings game 7 years ago 😭 the patent leather toe is such a good look. One of the most unique Jordan’s
I've always said that the 17's were the best I've ever played in, but the 16's were definitely the worst. They had no grip and fell apart quickly,. I had the Black and Reds, they looked pretty nice though. Never wore the cover for it, it was a pain in the ass to put on.
Ive been wanting the 16s to retro for a while now.
Seeing my uncles collect them and wear them out before I got a chance to buy my own really annoyed me as an adult who can buy things now.

I’m glad you’re talking about some of the older Jordan’s. You should definitely show us some of the older shoes you have. How many pairs do you think you actually have? I would like to see some 20 or 21s. I’m Definitely burnt out on the same Jordan’s being retro every year.
Those blue and white 16s last retro release was actually 2016. I still have mine deadstock.
had the original black lows and they were immediately my favorite because of the wider toe box
I managed to get the original white/navy on clearance for $80.
I loved them right up until the midsole started to crumble. I remember seeing pics years ago inside Gentry's office at Jordan Brand. There was a pair of the + version in black with red on the v-shaped trim piece. I would love to see those release... at a reasonable price point.

One thing that was always interesting to me was how Joe Johnson got a 16 PE towards the end of his second season with the Nets in 2014… there hadn’t been any 16 release (outside of CDP) prior to that since OG and the first time a 16 would release after is 2016. I also don’t recall seeing anybody else around the league with a 16 PE at the time either. Nonetheless definitely hope to see the cherrywood’s and gingers back soon!
I need that red suede Jordan 21s. Remember those super hard to get Jordan 23s I think they were called Finale 23. That Apple red was cold. Definitely need to retro those.

Turn the 15s through 19 into "protros". Replace the polyurethane with a tuned Zoom x and add full length zoom or zoom strobel.
XVIs were so fire. Need to drop a retro for the lows. And the commercial was also amazing
Had a pair of these back in the day. They were super comfortable and good to play in... but, they're not particularly good looking. If they were to re-release them it''d have to be in the concord, bred and white/red colorways. I had the Gingers and blacks... but, don't think they'd sell.
I particularly loved my 23s... they were great. Designed by Tinker Hatfield, carbon shank, great grip, zoom throughout and classy textiles.
Blow molding involves inflating heated plastic into a mold cavity to form hollow objects, such as air sole units. In contrast, injection molding for air sole units involves injecting or pressing two plastics into a mold where they cool and solidify, resulting in a single, solid piece with visible molding lines. Blow molding should be stronger theoretically.
Great video as always! I love the XVIs and was disappointed at myself for years for not grabbing the Navy retro back in 2016 when they went on sale. I would be all over a Black/Red retro and maybe a Cherrywood retro. Beyond that, I'd take some XXIs.
Mayonnaise would have to be my answer considering how much I use it, and no I don't rate Miracle Whip at all 😂
They just need to fix the outsole. It was embarrassing that my Cherrywoods outsole fell off while I was playing ball. The worst part was, I didn't bring any other shoes or slippers and I had to ride a train home with my outsole gone and the bare outsole with glues and all accumulated tiny stones which created annoying scratching sounds every time I make a step. Lol!
Yes, I would love to see new retros of the 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20. And they should retro the 21, 22, 2009, and 2011 too while they're at it.
Sadly Nike will ruin them with cracked leather, icy blue bottoms, or some other bs. If they rerelease them just as they did the first time it’s a go, but Nike has disappointed for quite some time.
Nothing beats icy blue soles. It takes twice as long to turn yellow.

@@tagjr9744 the icy blue fades to become clear over time before starting to yellow. My AJ 9 infrareds from 2019 are still good.

Yes please! I hella want the 16’s back. Has a special place in my heart too. I shared a personal story with NW about how I got one of my pairs of 16’s. I had three. The cherrywood, black/red & the black/silver lows. Fast forward to 2008. I hella wanted the 7/16 CDP but, $335 total was 🤯🤦🏻♂️ at that time. In 2016, I was so 😁😊 when I had found out that the white/navy cw were getting a retro release. The $250 retail immediately turned me away. They actually ended up at outlets for $130 but, I hella missed it. Now…. I’m going back/forth with myself if I should go back & grab the white/navy for $250 (retail). It’s been 8 years since the last retro release. Maybe, I’ll just wait for the next go around. The band on the shroud tends to break overtime. Good thing, I’ve always ordered wearing them without the shroud. If the 16’s were to re-release again, retail would probably be $250-$300. 🙃 Fun fact: The Jordan font on the Jordan 16 is written out in 16 -. That was one way to legit check them. Man, I’m such a nerd….. 😁😊
My favorite condiment is sweet/chili sauce. It’s not just for fried spring rolls. It’s also 👍🏼 with other fried foods. Also 👍🏼 with shrimp crackers/chips, dumplings, steamed buns. When I was a kid, I simply enjoyed it with just rice. 😊
I had the black version. I could be wrong but I believe the black dropped first.
Cherrywoods were gorgeous. If the do retro the 16s that’s the only colorway I need.

Loved the 16s back in the day. My have was the standard blk/red but I also loved the way the cherrywood and ginger looked. The weird thing was the traction on the blk/red were slippery initially but the navy’s were great out of the box. I always thought the blow molded air unit meant that it was a standard air-sole unit in the heel but with marketing jargon….but now you’ve gotten me curious. 🤷🏽♂️
Loved all the little details the shoes had too…like the 16 lines that made up the word “Jordan”. IK’d love to see more love for the later Jordans….but i would like the opportunity to own a pair of 19s since i never got a chance to. As for the question of the day….c’mon of course I’m gonna say HOT SAUCE!! 😂 I love mustard too…..specifically yellow, Dijon, Chinese hot mustard (which btw is perfect on a pastrami sandwich). Love me a good salsa too. Not a fan of mayo…but i do enjoy a good aioli. Garlic makes things better…aioli is proof of it. ❤
Unfortunately, the gator or spat as they are originally called will break over time. Also, the gator/spat will rub the jumpman off that sits by the ankle. If they can fix those issues, then I'm down for the retro. I remember the ginger pair being heavily discounted. The marching band theme is because bands wear gators/spats over their shoes. Great video as always.
I grabbed these on pretty steep discount from Footaction way back. Sold them because they ate into the front of my ankle, but a solid retro. The Cherrywood should be the unanimous choice if 16’s were gonna drop. However, they would most likely be at that $250 price point again.

It’s interesting how even the 14 gets shunned sometimes. Let alone especially 15 and up. He even played professionally in a few of those. But yes. It would be interesting to see retros of more than 1-14. I myself would love to see other Jordan brand shoes retroed like Jumpman Pros and Trunners.
As for QOTD. I’m a mustard guy. Any type of mustard depending the situation. I absolutely hate ketchup. And no, I don’t mess with Miracle Whip.
I love these educational videos, when you show us the guts of many of the shoes we love and grew up with. That is one of the many reasons you are the GOAT of shoetubers. Also, it's annoying that JB/Nike gives us retros of a no so plain and simple tooling almost identical, but they are cheap and lazy enough to release stripped down versions of more "simple" shoes, like de Zoom Flight 98, Air Penny IV and AJ XV, all with no forefoot zoom, or the lamest of all, the Jumpman Pro. I still have mine from 2000 when they 1st release. I was working at footlocker.I stashed mine in the back just incase they sold out but never did because people thought they were ugly. At the end of the month we got half off so I bought them😁
Man, i loved my 16 white/red lows. Rocked them until the midsole cumbled on me thru college. Still got the white/navy ds from their last release. Maybe its a good idea to start wearing them around the house to prolong their life

Indeed. I still have my OG pairs from a nicer era, the white/black and the red suede, but they are stiff as hell. Would love to see them coming back. Maybe with a better/practical implementation of swappable cushioning at the heel

I love 15 to 2009. The original 16 was amazing until the outsole turned yellow then it was ice slipper time. The hornets colors way was 250 when it released in 2016. It’s time to push the later models they has way better performance and if you jazz them up in a good color it will pop. The 19s in royal blue,16 in unc blue.even the 16.5 would be better than pushing the same 1 to 14
My go-to condiment is ketchup. I use it on almost everything, hotdogs, burgers, French fries, breakfast potatoes, meatloaf, etc.
If production cost were a concern, I wonder if they could proto the 16 for a lower price point. Otherwise you may be looking at a 250-300 retro
I had the black lows, I had to settle because the regular version was sold out. They were a little bland, I would've preferred the red ones. I didn't like how the lows had that polo collar on them.
Retro 18's are by far the most underrated Jordan retro that deserves a chance back in the lime light.

I just bought the midnight navy DS a few years ago at very pricey price, but they should retro these but in a whole new color way line
I am intrigued by the 16s without that patent leather. I usually am cool with patent leather and I usually don’t mind creasing, but I can’t stand the patent creasing on 16s. I think the Cherrywoods look the best anyway, so I am all for those coming back, and I’d pay more money for them.
As far as other AJ models I’d love to see retro, I would love to see the 18s and 19s come back. Same with the 23s and even the 2009s, though I don’t know anyone else who likes them. I REALLY want the 21s, though. That might be my first choice.
Deep cut? Those basketball leather 22s. I don’t even care for the 22 that much, but those basketball leather 22s are sharp.

I'm trying to collect at least a pair of Jordan's for each year. This year is Jordan 39, I have 28 releases. Hopefully the 16, 18 thru 20 are released so I can add them to my collection.
