Hi Chris and Rob, IMHO the reason you guys are successful is that you’re both genuine and you do things you both love! So when Chris and yourself go out and treat yourselves to something (a lawnmower, pick up, Reliant or anything else) it’s because YOU like it and not just channel content….however it’s because viewers love what you do it’s the reason we tune in…you don’t need to see what we want, for me, it’s you guys I tune in for and what you work on is a bonus!
Brilliant video - good on you for doing something fun. Clearly this should have a motorcycle rack on on side - and a couple of DJ decks on the other side. Would look great at retro summer festivals...although whether they're mod or rocker is up to you...
This was mine I was restoring it for my dad but sadly he passed away and we sold it unfinished the colour is BMC teal blue the chassis is post office red the engine is a low mileage 850
Great to see Chris happy he deserves it as do you Rob. Lovely thing this little 3 wheeled van is. Can’t wait to see what Chris does with it in the future.
Did you find any half crowns under the seats Chris? 😉 On a serious note - so pleased for you! This has put a big smile on your face, worth every penny. Looking forward to seeing what you end up doing with it!
Hi guys I have a 1974 ant that I’m restoring got it running and repainted just on the brakes and back end now welcome to ant world lol 😂 Mines in green with a 750cc engine love it regards Kevin
Good for you, Chris! Buy what YOU like. Never explain, never apologise. Looking forward to see what you do with it. The bike carrier sounds great, and so does a little tipper.
This is great, I knew Chris would buy this and I am glad he did, it's great to have this on the channel, it's an early Ant, I do remember our local Council having a couple of these in the early 80s for the parks and gardens as pick ups for moving plants, tools garden rubbish and the like. My mate,s Dad served his time with Reliant and that little engine was Reliant,s own and a surprisingly good little motor of 850cc used across the Reliant range apart from the Scimitar of course. I am going with the idea of a bike transporter doubling as a parts carrier maybe and would be great period sign written for advertising the business, good luck with it, it's fantastic
Hi. I've just been looking at the you have got with the Range Rover Sport I've seen that you have got RPM on the diagnosis but no pulse up to the injector's and no fuel pressure up to the rail from the pump did you check the to see if the camshaft sensor has a feed and switching if not then the ECU won't pulse the injector's and won't open the pump fuel pressure to the common Rai line's. Hope this helps if you still have the problem once you have fitted the new pump The SDD diagnostic software might be the way to go. Geoff Toole
If the blue is the original colour I strongly suspect that it was a Reading Borough Council vehicle, the JH in the registration number corresponding to Reading would lend credence to this. A nice little dropside body with hardwood boarding would be perfect for it.
You guys, in particular Chris 🤪 work so hard nobody could grumble or question treating yourself even if it's a 3 wheeled truck nobody has heard of. 👍 Big congratulations 👏
Guys, because it is no unique, what about renovating it into some sort of promotional vehicle for UK salvage Rebuilds? Something that you can possibly take to some shows to promote your channel?
he was so happy! :) - the great thing about liking all sorts, is that there's so much out there and you can avoid the "scene" costs you get with the obvious classics, a carrier for a 70's bike would be awesome!
Ideal little utility truck for Chriss to use around the farm, or restore it to its former condition etc. Whatever he does I'm sure he will enjoy sorting it. Thanks Guys 👍👍
The Ant is amazing. Surely you have to put a small bed on it and load a 1970's mower onto it's back, after all is is you Chris 'Mower Man'. To see you grinning from ear to ear just makes my day.
Just love it a three wheeled classic put a box on the back a couple of seats and a gaz stove of you go Chris, Salvage rebuilds decor and £1750 worth of big smiles
Hi Rob and Chris brilliant video again I have driven a reliant when I was 18 now 74 love Chris’s idea for caring motorcycle’s I love the way you two where having a good laugh I love to see that keep up your brilliant work and videos Bernard
I think the little truck is adorable. Chris is an engineer, and this little fellow is interesting to work on. Anyone can own an Audi, but how many people have one of these? I think it's great!
I think this is a great thing to work on as I remember these when I was about 8 and the bread man used it to deliver and also the milk. I used to help them for one penny! Look forward to Chris doing his thing. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
New I phone is spot on,don’t think you need the microphones just keep it as you are that’s what makes the channel, you are salvage rebuilds not directors, love the buy from Chris would make a fantastic pick up lads
Nice to see Chris so happy. He deserves it. I feel it’s a bargain personally. It’s unique and has nice history and lots of work been done. I no Chris will mint it and make it his own. I personally love the idea of a motorcycle carrier. Imagine that at a show with two classic bikes on the back.
Bless, this lovely Ant certainly put a smile on Chris’ face, he definitely deserves a treat. I’m a fan of the Reliant three wheeler range, mainly because they are quirky, different, and oh so cute. I used to own a 1993 Robin LX, as a hobby car, I had it restored to factory original specification, then enjoyed many happy hours of fun driving it😊.
Never any doubt about which "vehicle" Chris was going to take/purchase. Chris said he goes back to 1970.I go back a wee bit futrher than that. Used to see these in abundance at Glasgow Central station and at my Local big bakery . I knew them as shunters moving all the stuff round off the Mail Trains. They were pretty common in the 1960/70s. No seen one for many a year.. Be good to see it running about again.
Definitely love the idea of a period correct bike on there. Should do a "Salvage Rebuilds Speed Shop" old school signage with oak plank sided bed and white wall tyres etc. Nice purchase Chris 👍
I subscribed when the subscriber count was under 100 and in all that time this is one of the best bits of content. So happy for Chris and I know it will come out great no matter what he does with it in the end. Articulation would be fun. Cheers guy's
Absolutely love it, proper unique and quirky little thing. I think a proper solid wooden bed would look sweet with the wooden sides 👌🏻 regardless what Chris does to it I'm sure it will amaze us all on how talented he is 👍🏻
What a buy from Chris there 👌🏻 he really looks chuffed with it. My first idea was backup truck for the new SR projects 😂 but when Chris mentioned putting motorbikes on the back of it, that would be the best idea I think 👍🏻 classic truck carrying classic bikes and have some old school signwriting on the sides too 🙂
Seeing Chris's smile was enough to know it was a sound investment. Loads of opportunities with this. If profit is needed something commercial like wedding, events or transport but in these trouble times a soup kitchen for the homeless or mobile food bank
What a fascinating vehicle, totally quirky. Total respect to Chris , he likes what he likes. I like TR7’s there’s no accounting for taste! I can’t wait for the” will it run” video and what ever he decides to convert it too, your subscribers will support him. Good on you mate!
A Reliant Ant TW9 what a great vehicle. I had a 1965 Reliant Regal 3/25 saloon in the day. Happy Days. I am glad that Chris got the Reliant and I am sure that he will make a great job out of it
That looks so much fun. so much potential. Rob will have endless hours of spanner fun. got to be one of the most unique commercials about. camera quality excellent.
I'm in love!😁 This is a wonderful, quirky bit of kit, can't wait to see it up n running. Flat bed, no sides, bike carrier, is my favourite idea that's been mentioned. Now Rob Chris, I have a query. Another RUclips channel I follow is "Expawers", it's a British couple that live in Spain and travel the world in an od 1990's Transit Autosleeper, they have just travelled up thro Spain n France and managed to get to Kent, for a winter break over yer(?) They've broken down with rear axle problems, I recommended them to contact you guys, buy you've been on holiday, could you find their channel and get in touch for a chat a out sourcing parts or maybe even combining yours and theirs, RUclips endeavours. Thank you both.👍😁👍
Brilliant buy. Brings back memories, I've tipped two reliants over, a regal and a Robin, and my dad tipped his reliant regal over. Hope Chris has more luck, stabilisers might be an idea. 😁👍
How you only have 290k subscribers is beyond me. Some of the click bait garbage being turned out by people with 4 or 5 times your subscribers is a crime. Stick with the quality content boys !!!
Chris you are my type of guy I love anything different like this..... If I had to pick between yours and robs I pick this little van all-day long I love it
Absolutely love it. I like the same sort of things as Chris and born in 1970, must be a 70’s thing lol. Really looking forward to him working his magic on this great little vehicle
Love it. Knowing you both like coffee, what about one of those conversions into a coffee van. One where all the kit is accessed from the side/rear. I think its a bit small for one where you stand inside. Then you could go to shows and earn money while attending. But whatever Chris chooses it will be great quality.
I love the Ant, its a amazing little truck & its worth every penny. I have never seen one before only just pictures in books or magazines. Epic video, well done on the car Chris
I liked that. I guessed Chris was going for that when he saw it a while ago. I think, fit a tow hitch tor your 70s/80s boat you got a few months ago and a nice wood flatbed.
Hi Guys, just wanted to say how much I enjoy your videos, Im a retired old bugger living in Portugal, I am totally rubbish at anything which involves fixing cars or engines! but you put a smile on my face, keep on going and good luck to you both...
Brilliant truck, being a Staffordshire lad I remember Reliant at Tamworth on the A5 before it closed. I used to work around that area for many years and it was the main employer. One of the main fibreglasses set up business up the road from the old factory building fire tender bodies. The truck needs Chris’s expert attention, can’t wait to see it run and move 😊
2 best mates and a funky little vehicle. Well done Chris hope we see a few videos on this and how it develops. Seeing you delighted with it was great to see. Well done lad! (nice tribute as well Rob. True car loving friends right there.)
Anything that make’s Chris happy make’s us happy… he deserves this and more….
Spot on totally agree 😀😀
Yeah just look at his beaming face 😁!
Well said.
Well said mate
1000% agree he's so happy with he's like a kid in a sweet shop
Hi Chris and Rob, IMHO the reason you guys are successful is that you’re both genuine and you do things you both love! I’ve not laughed at a video so much in a long time. Seeing Chris so happy is amazing! He clearly does like unique vehicles.
Perfect for taking the jet-ski down the estuary! 😎
Chris and Rob's mobile coffee truck 🚚 ☕️
I echo everything that has been said. Chris' reaction throughout is priceless. This world is a better place with this amount of joy in it.........
Brilliant video - good on you for doing something fun. Clearly this should have a motorcycle rack on on side - and a couple of DJ decks on the other side. Would look great at retro summer festivals...although whether they're mod or rocker is up to you...
The smile on Chrises face! Brilliant. Everybody needs a Chris in their life. Good luck to you both. Mick.
Love it! Probably get more attention driving along in that than Rob's Lambo!
I love Chris, he’s an amazing guy . Ice cream van should be on the list 😂😂
Never mind car vertical, go round a roundabout too quick it'll be car horizontal.
Cracking to see, love quirky vehicles
Seeing Chris face when he fist seen it just proves it’s the simple things in life that make you happy
Chris deserves that little truck as much as we deserve the "will it run" video! Well done guys!
Did you find any half crowns under the seats Chris? 😉
On a serious note - so pleased for you! This has put a big smile on your face, worth every penny. Looking forward to seeing what you end up doing with it!
So good seeing Chris’s happy face 👌🏽
Hi guys I have a 1974 ant that I’m restoring got it running and repainted just on the brakes and back end now welcome to ant world lol 😂
Mines in green with a 750cc engine love it regards Kevin
The wee truck would look well with a recovery body or a flat bed on it with a 70's ride on mower on the back and take it to vintage shows.
Good for you, Chris! Buy what YOU like. Never explain, never apologise. Looking forward to see what you do with it. The bike carrier sounds great, and so does a little tipper.
Here we go guy's, Chris & Rob's mobile coffee van coming soon. Great Stuff.
I'd go back and get the scooter too, now that would be cool
Rob run it through car vertical 😂😂
Turn it into a coffee shop as you drink so much salvage coffee bean you could call it lol
This is great, I knew Chris would buy this and I am glad he did, it's great to have this on the channel, it's an early Ant, I do remember our local Council having a couple of these in the early 80s for the parks and gardens as pick ups for moving plants, tools garden rubbish and the like. A cheap bit of fun! What a conversation piece good for Chris!

How about a mobile coffee van, as you guy's drink so much coffee ☕☕
Someone in our town has (or had, not sure if he still has it) a converted Ape coffee cart
You guys, in particular Chris 🤪 work so hard nobody could grumble or question treating yourself even if it's a 3 wheeled truck nobody has heard of. 👍
Big congratulations 👏
Its good to see something Chris is excited by, its what life should be about, all hard work and no play gets old.
A mobile coffee shop!
Guys, because it is no unique, what about renovating it into some sort of promotional vehicle for UK salvage Rebuilds? Something that you can possibly take to some shows to promote your channel?
Surfboard Carrier / Sales & Rental down in Cornwall ?
overpriced gin/pizza bar too

Never seen 1 before, probably won't again, looks like a bond bug from the front,
Probably left hand drive because the driver of the road sweeper would need to be UK kerbside?
Exactly right... they all are .. and right hand drive in right hand countries.
Make it into a camper I'll be interested lol
It has definitely landed in the correct hands with Chris, love to see this finished, hopefully we will 👌
i cant be the only one thinking about how beautiful and simple it is inside and out! simpler days!! well done lads cant wait to see how it turns out
£17.50 that's a bargain - I wouldn't have gone above twenty quid
I think Chris will get more looks in that Reliant than you do in your Lambo...
The Ant is amazing. Surely you have to put a small bed on it and load a 1970's mower onto it's back, after all is is you Chris 'Mower Man'. To see you grinning from ear to ear just makes my day.
Funny seeing Chris’s face and how happy he was…….any other playful side of Chris brilliant
Just love it a three wheeled classic put a box on the back a couple of seats and a gaz stove of you go Chris, Salvage rebuilds decor and £1750 worth of big smiles
Great to see Chris so happy!
Never even knew these existed until I saw the video! Love it. Can wait to see what Chris does with it.

Love it, Chris looks so happy
I think a nice wooden flat bed or tipper back
Would really show Chris’s mastery of the wood 🪵
Definitely love the idea of a period correct bike on there. Should do a "Salvage Rebuilds Speed Shop" old school signage with oak plank sided bed and white wall tyres etc. Nice purchase Chris 👍
I knew Chris would buy that, it's so him! I like the way the passenger seat converts to a porta-potty! 😂😂😂
£5000 price tag when it’s done. I’d love that little Ant. Hope you enjoy every minute owning it Chris mate.
Old school timber flat tray with varnish and painting and the bike racks 👍👍
I subscribed when the subscriber count was under 100 and in all that time this is one of the best bits of content. So happy for Chris and I know it will come out great no matter what he does with it in the end. Articulation would be fun. Cheers guy's
Love the idea of Chris rocking up in that at a show with a 70’s dirt bike on the back would be cool. 🍻

I'd wanna turn it into a little artic.
That’s way cooler than a Lambo Rob, you have to admit. Love the big grin on Chris his face.

Hi all. I bet the other 2 biders were mr & mrs Hub Nut. You have just gone Up a notch or two. Cant wait to see what you put on the back!!!!
Great vlog, it will make great content to see Chris working on it, brilliant!
Don’t think I’ve seen Chris that animated in a while! Looks like a load of fun for not a lot of money. Thanks for another great video guys.
Brilliant truck, being a Staffordshire lad I remember Reliant at Tamworth on the A5 before it closed. I used to work around that area for many years and it was the main employer. One of the main fibreglasses set up business up the road from the old factory building fire tender bodies.

Bloody love it, it will make you smile every time you drive it.... only weird thing I did see is that Chris didn't check it for loose change 🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂
