- Today, we play Victoria 3 WITH A TWIST! That twist is that we're playing Victoria 3 but I hav all technology already unlocked. This actually presents an issue when starting as a vassal to Victoria 3 Qing. That being that your populace expects a standard of living that you really don't have the ability to provide. In any case, this Victoria 3 challenge will hopefully be easier than others I've done...

For just a tiny second I thought there was a nation that already had every technology unlocked and was about to start crying in Ashanti attempting to keep good relations with every great power.
I get the feeling that an all-tech Qing video would be less of an almighty juggernaut to conquer the world and more of a micromanaging hell that only gets worse over time.

If you actually had all the territory in the thumbnail as Lan Fang you’d have a cosmetic name change to Bo-Ni, which means Borneo.
Also you didn’t have to spend any time to get all the tech, you can just type either “tech 5” or “research 5” (been away from the game a while) and it researches every tech at that level and below, so you get everything instantly.
1. Yeah, but Lan Fang is objectively cooler to have on the thumbnail, so I replaced it.
2. WHY WAS I NOT TOLD THIS WAS A THING.

fun fact about the battleship hoax event: that actually happened irl, and the bunga bunga option is related to it. if im remembering correctly, a few known troublemakers in england pretended to be ethiopian/abyssinian nobility, and were given a full ceremony on a battleship while acting totally ridiculous and playing it off as foreign customs. really funny story actually, ive never seen that event cause ive never gotten far enough in the game but its cool they did the research to add it.
Small hint, in case you didn't know: When choosing an import route, click on "productivity" tab. It will sort the list with the most productive route on top. Easier to choose and navigate
Laith, ik you get this a lot but you make vic3 seem so much more fun! I was kinda upset when I played the game at first because I had no idea what I was doing, but watching your videos made me realize what I was doing wrong and helped me a ton! I'm actually starting to really enjoy playing this game, as different as it is from Eu4 or og vic2.
The vic3 content is easily my favorite on the channel now, good work 😁

I'm a silly boy so this has been one of the main ways I have played the game, nice to see someone do a video, that points out some of the oddities of all tech at game start.
LPT you can use fastresearch on pause and unlock all of it on day one for yourself.
Also, audio sync is a bit off for some reason at least at the start on this video (watching mobile)

Tip to start off Lanfang: 1. Abolish serfdom. 2. Open immigration. 3. Probably should've done 2 first!
No joke, open the floodgates and let Chinese people swarm the islands of SE Asia and Micronesia. That is how Lanfang is to survive and go independent in the future.
Use the advanced cheat menu mod, you can instantly research stuff instead of having to wait a week and you can also do much more

You need to get oil on your market, then click on it and you can see potentials. You’d probably have to change one of your production methods so you’ll have sell orders for oil

Would the market access and having so many neighbors help Greece catch in Technology and build up a good enough market to compete with the big boys or will you get destroyed when the great powers ask for their ports back?

It is day 63 of asking you to do Croatia challenge in VIC3 (Become free from the rule of austria - then you cannot ally them, russians, serbians, ottomans and montenegro, you also cannot trade with them (embargo them and rival them). First form Yugoslavia restore old borders from that country then form Danubian state, all while staying monarchy thats the set of rules you must follow.

you didnt need to bother researching them seperetly, you just needed in console to write "research 1" then "research 2" and do so untill "research 5" it researches all 5era's of technology.
