Nice! This confirms my decision to get the CLP 735 strictly for home use. It seems that this model is in the sweet spot between low end crap and the outrageously expensive. Thanks!
Jeremy, a very valuable survey of Yamaha pianos, which I think I can say without bias, are overall the best range of digital pianos available. Of course, personal preferences will lead some buyers to other brands, but for most people seeking a digital piano, Yamaha provides an extraordinary range at almost every price point (with this enthusiasm, I guess I should add that I have no connection with Yamaha!) What is most impressive here is that you have given good info on such a large range in under 20 minutes! Congratulations! [The only thing I might add is, I think the most expensive instrument, the top CVP-809GP piano/arranger model doesn't provide quite as good a piano as the top essentially unadorned piano, the CLP-695GP at around 2/3 the price (the difference of having an excellent arranger keyboard facility {a sort of cut down Genos} included) - but others may disagree on that.]
Thank you for sharing Bryan. Yes, for those who are only after the piano sound, CLP-695GP is a better choice. But the 1,600+ voices including Super Articulation 2 & Revo drums like the Genos are very tempting! 😬 The piano sound and touch of both these are identical though, featuring the new GrandTouch action with escapement and counterweights as well as binaural CFX & Bosendorfer Imperial. Have a great Sunday, buddy.
If you are not in lockdown and can gig, or don't like the portables above, want something a bit more robust and have your own speakers you could try and get the Yamaha stage pianos - CP4, CP40, CP73 and CP88

Jeremy didn't gives us a full answer to his own question. So which is best? IMO it's the Arius YDP 164. Costs about €1000. It's great value for money, and I really enjoyed playing it in the school where I found one. The action is superior to the lower Arius models. I recommend it as a first piano, or as an upgrade from something really cheap. A close runner up IMO is the P-121. It's about as cheap as the P-45, but much better. 73 notes can even be an advantage in a first instrument (fits anywhere) and also for transporting.

Hi coach I think I’m going for YDP 144, is piano in white color a good choice? Is it long lasting or will it look yellowish overtime just like white cars do? Because I will go for the black walnut if the satin white is a bad choice..

Looking for most realistic piano feel and sound with stylish design, the other features are secondary but would be nice to have. To be played in a small apartment using the built-in speakers. Well I can not believe it but I just upgraded from my P45 to a P515!! I just never thought I would ever need to do this because I didn’t think I was gonna get that much into it lol
I just grabbed a p125 as a beginner but I was mighty close to getting a 515. I just felt that the p125 did exactly what I needed it to do at a good price. Just wanted something to use with daws so I can create music again
I have noticed that the Yamaha USB MIDI is not completely compatible with systems other than Windows, for which they provide a proprietary driver. Jeremy, have you tried triggering an Yamaha keyboard from a sequencer through ALSA drivers using USB connection? I would love to see the outcome of it and a discussion. Thank you for the high quality contents channel.
Thank you for this helpful video! Can you explain why not to go for the ydp103? Should I get the p125 even though I don't need a portable and my budget can cover the 103?
I’m back because I went to a piano store to try the Roland FP30 / P125 and really surprised myself that I preferred P125’s key actions and sounds over the FP30. But now Im confused, with the price being so close with the YDP-S34, which should I buy? I’m a Super beginner but I play 1h+ Everyday. Or should I just spring for a Clavinova (635) display set for a few hundred more? Thank you!

Hi Jeremy, I have just recorded and uploaded a piano performance entitled "Home" on my channel. I was using the Clavinova in my school. It was purchased back in 2011 or 2012. I think the clavinova is quite nice to play on!
thank you for this video! very informative. With my current budget, i am thinking of investing in a YDP-164. I have only played piano for four years so I'm still an early intermediate in classic piano and haven't mastered difficult ornaments such as trill. Looking to invest in a good digital piano!
@@JeremySee thank you! I have bought the piano and it was delivered today! I am amazed by the design and the sound quality. The keys also have slightly more weight than YDP-144 and the DGX one. I can stick to this for a few years until i get to buy an acoustic piano!
JJeremy thank you for your videos, I only have one question that I hope someone or you can answer, I am in the middle of buying the Ap 710 or the clavinova 735, I honestly like the style of the yamaha and its sound has always seemed beautiful to me but I feel that it almost also offers me
I'm looking for a keyboard with a fair amount of different functions, that also has that weighted key, grand piano feel too. I've followed a bunch of your links but am opting to just go direct with a question here. I love that you play for your church by the way, that's awesome! I'm also looking for textured keys that won't get sticky or wet after a good amount of playing as you demonstrated in one of your Roland vs Yamaha videos. I'm not playing in a stadium or anything, but I'd like the ability to both play nice classical pieces in my living room (my son is learning too, but I've played for over 30 years), or jump in a band set in the basement or garage have a good time. What you can you recommend for $1500 or less (ideally less but for the right piano I'll plurge)? As my son (young teenager) is also player, I'd like something that will last that hey can continue to play for a long time to come and grow into. I've always been the type to buy better first than constantly upgrade down the road. Much appreciated, enjoy the videos!
The Avast Gamer I don’t know where r u based right now, but Yamaha P125 seems much higher price than KORG B2 in UK. At P125 price level I chose KORG D1 based my research. Hope this helped
Hey Jeremy! I was debating between getting the Yamaha P515 or the Kawai ES8, but would you recommend getting the Yamaha CLP instead? I would like the piano I get to have some portability, but I also want a good quality action and sound. I actually prefer lighter action since my hands are weaker now due to mild arthritis + carpal tunnel, but I will gladly appreciate your opinion on the more ideal piano to get
I am looking at the Yamaha YPD-165 Arius standard where dose it fit in. It will be home use to learn on. and have some friends that paly very well, so on meetings they will most likely be playing it.
I own a PX350 since 2016, and I consider it was at that time a great choice for a beginner. But now I consider upgrading. Action is by far my first priority. How different/better are the actions of PX560m, PX770 or AP270?
Hey Jeremy and community, I'm really struggling to find the best settings for my Yamaha E463! I don't think that you've made a video on " how to make it sound the most similar to a piano " I guess? Is there anything I should change besides "release" to make it sound the best?
Hey I have a question, why I should avoid the YDP103 Arius?☹️, I just bought it a few hours ago because the Casio Ap 270 was out of stock, is it a waste of money?
Hi Jeremy. Can you tell me what is the lowest priced arranger keyboard, that would give me the same level of style creation abilities as the Casio CT-X5000? I realize that it would be more expensive than the Casio, I'm just curious what compares to it's deep level of style creation. Thanks, Rich M.
Which epiano is the best bang for the buck, if you just need piano sound and want best possible key quality? I have got a Casio CTX 700 but the keys feel so cheap and have a lot of side noises.
Please help. I can't decide is it worth paying more for clp-735 or even 745 or stick with ydp-184? I'm overwhelmed with all the different models. Thanks
Hi, I am from Hong Kong. I am an intermediate level self learner and am wondering whether to choose yamaha or roland. Would like to choose yamaha p515. Seems quite good quality but without a cover. What a pity. I am now playing with a yamaha psr 434, which is a 61 key keyboard. I like to play with some preset rhythm with fill in to make my own song. And now I would like to buy a 88 weighted keyboard for better learning.
ydp s34 vs p125? which one is better for a young player 9yr old; and which one has more technical capabilities, and lastly which one has better sound in terms of speakers loudness?
Hello, I am not from the video, the CLP535 is a good piano with CFX sound although it is currently discontinued by the CLP635, but if you find it new it is a very good option
I used to own a ypg625 and was interested in purchasing another only to find out that that model is no longer produced. Can anyone tell me what would be a comparable brand/model of keyboard closest to the 625 that I should consider? Thanks.
nice information for buyer guide. Well, i wanna ask about difference between the low entry YDP series and low entry CLP series. Let's say YDP 144 vs CLP 725. Would u give me the comparisson about YDP 144, YDP-S54 and CLP-725. Is CLP-725 worth to buy instead of YDP-144 or YDP-S54. FYI, this piano will used for my 10 years old son who just started piano lesson, and I will also use it in my spare time to play some popular song accoustically. Cheers..
I had YDP 144, although I never try CLP 725, I think a 725 is a better choice considering its newer(I think), and the CLP series are made for the closest experience to an acoustic piano
Great video Jeremy, thanks, my clavinova is great, but it's an old one (15 years old), & now the keys make a lot of noise & 2 of them get stuck sometimes, do you have any advice, I guess I need to change the material under the keyboard that dampens that noise, & maybe change or clean the keys?, if you have any advice on this I would really appreciate it, thanks.
Hi Jemery, thank you for the review. Would love to know what do you think of Roland RP501R? I'm thinking of getting one and I always like Yamaha YDP-164 but I want something with Bluetooth and unfortunately, the Arius range doesn't come with Bluetooth function. The salesman was pushing for Kawai CA49. And what do you think of that too?

*Jeremy please tell me Yamaha Ydp-p45 Or Clp-625 which one best* ????
can i use all voices with smart pianist app if i buy ydp 164?
I’m back because I went to a piano store to try the Roland FP30 / P125 and really surprised myself that I preferred P125’s key actions and sounds over the FP30. But now Im confused, with the price being so close with the YDP-S34, which should I buy? I’m a Super beginner but I play 1h+ Everyday.
Or should I just spring for a Clavinova (635) display set for a few hundred more?
Thank you!
Hi, and between P515 and P125?.
I have the DGX 660 - no buyers remorse, got it for 799. I have a feeling I am going to get a lot of use out of it. It’s a lot of fun to practice on.
Have fun!
there is a sale on a website that has dgx 660 for 100 dollars
hi
if I am getting a deal on DGX660 old one for $500 with pedal . should I go for it ?
I am complete beginner and was leaning towards PSR E373. plz assist
@@amitkumar30 i have yamaha psre 373 its good, but its key feel is not that nice than DGX660. i have so many songs to learn but i cant learn as i have 61 keys, i say go for 88 keys...
Hey jer, i prefer yamaha keys. Piano patches of the flagship are really fantastic.
Hi Jeremy, I have just recorded and uploaded a piano performance entitled "Home" on my channel. I was using the Clavinova in my school. It was purchased back in 2011 or 2012. I think the clavinova is quite nice to play on!
Thanks Jeremy .Can you make a parallel between, the CVP 809 and the Genos, Or better, a video comparisons.
Thank you Jeremy. Does Yamaha produce digital piano models CLN-350 or CLN_750? I did not find such a model on the company's website
I'd love to get a clavinova haha but obviously I can't afford it so i think I'm gonna get an arius one
I have an Arius YDP-160 from a decade ago, and I still love it!
same my family has a Clavinova and its sooo good but sooooo expensive hahahah
thank you for this video! very informative. With my current budget, i am thinking of investing in a YDP-164. I have only played piano for four years so I'm still an early intermediate in classic piano and haven't mastered difficult ornaments such as trill. Looking to invest in a good digital piano!
Have fun!
@@JeremySee thank you! I have bought the piano and it was delivered today! I am amazed by the design and the sound quality. The keys also have slightly more weight than YDP-144 and the DGX one. I can stick to this for a few years until i get to buy an acoustic piano!
Do you have a video like this for Roland? Thank you for your great information on yamaha.
best yamaha reviews on youtube!!!
I am confused between the clavinova Clp series and Yamaha Modx 88 key, my main priority is Depth Piano.
Hi, I didn’t see any Kawai review on your chanel, is it good?
JJeremy thank you for your videos, I only have one question that I hope someone or you can answer, I am in the middle of buying the Ap 710 or the clavinova 735, I honestly like the style of the yamaha and its sound has always seemed beautiful to me but I feel that it almost also offers me
Great Video! Very clear
What do you think about buying an used the CLP 240... today in 2022?? I am an old beginner :)
Should I buy the Korg B2 or the Yamaha P125??
I'm Stuck ............
Please Help Me!
The Avast Gamer I don’t know where r u based right now, but Yamaha P125 seems much higher price than KORG B2 in UK. At P125 price level I chose KORG D1 based my research. Hope this helped
Thank you for the great review! I bought the arius 144 today😊
Is it worth it and does it sound good? Thinking about buying this one
Hey Jeremy! I was debating between getting the Yamaha P515 or the Kawai ES8, but would you recommend getting the Yamaha CLP instead? I would like the piano I get to have some portability, but I also want a good quality action and sound. I actually prefer lighter action since my hands are weaker now due to mild arthritis + carpal tunnel, but I will gladly appreciate your opinion on the more ideal piano to get
The p515 has a fairly heavy action
@@jackfahey7459 So, is better the P125 key action?...
does the DGX-670 (no the 670 is not a typo) have the 3 pedals built in.
You can buy with or without the triple pedals.
@@JeremySee ok thank you
I am looking at the Yamaha YPD-165 Arius standard where dose it fit in. It will be home use to learn on. and have some friends that paly very well, so on meetings they will most likely be playing it.
Jeremy why you dont make a video about the casino Ap 710? That could help me a lot, thanks

Yamaha YDP-164 is great and affordable!
Hey I have a question, why I should avoid the YDP103 Arius?☹️, I just bought it a few hours ago because the Casio Ap 270 was out of stock, is it a waste of money?
did u regret buying or is everything good so far? (if u alr got it)
Is the ydp103 any good I was getting read to buy one for 400 dollors

Hi Jeramy , Could you please let me know about Yamaha PF 1000.
Hi Jeremy. Can you tell me what is the lowest priced arranger keyboard, that would give me the same level of style creation abilities as the Casio CT-X5000? I realize that it would be more expensive than the Casio, I'm just curious what compares to it's deep level of style creation. Thanks, Rich M.
Your opinion about piano Strauss Rottman Symphony 4.0 please!
the metronome doesnt work properly in my p125. the rythm is not on beat and unusable.
does aurius sound good? or should i get alesis recital pro instead
Thank you Soo much for the piano types it helped me save $80 😊
Sir which is better for recording
Psr e363 or CTX 700
Pls suggest me one out of this for audio production , mainly to do cover songs
the p125 link goes to the 45. i wanted to see if you had a deal on the p125.
Which epiano is the best bang for the buck, if you just need piano sound and want best possible key quality?
I have got a Casio CTX 700 but the keys feel so cheap and have a lot of side noises.

Thank you. 😊
Amazing. Can you do a video about the Yamaha DGX-205?
Kawai
ydp s34 vs p125? which one is better for a young player 9yr old; and which one has more technical capabilities, and lastly which one has better sound in terms of speakers loudness?
Can you make video on tutorial for midi keyboard for beginners Please
PLEASE GIVE REPLY
Hi I have watched a few of your videos and I enjoyed them. Thank you. What do you think of the CLP 535?
Hello, I am not from the video, the CLP535 is a good piano with CFX sound although it is currently discontinued by the CLP635, but if you find it new it is a very good option
Hi friends, which feels and sound better between CP88, Clavinova CLP-645 and Clavinova CLP-745?. Thanks!.
Will u plzz suggest what is best yahamaha ydp164.... or ..... Kawai kdp110.plzz suggest me .Plzzzz
I have the p255, also a more advanced version of the p45 and p115
Very informative..i love YAMAHA CSP or CLP..may be i will buy one
I used to own a ypg625 and was interested in purchasing another only to find out that that model is no longer produced. Can anyone tell me what would be a comparable brand/model of keyboard closest to the 625 that I should consider? Thanks.
Sir, does Yamaha keyboard also manufactured in China also?
nice information for buyer guide.
The replacement part for the key dampeners are just cheap felt. Yamaha tech just charges alot for the spare part and labour.
Jeremy See , thanks for your swift reply, do you think I could change the damper myself?, or better get a pro' do it?
So do you recommend a YDP s54? Or is there a better one for the same price or maybe cheaper?
Can you please let me know which piano is better Yamaha p.45 or YDP151
Thank you for the presentation. I used to have P45, quite enjoyed playing.
This was a wonderful video. It really eliminate all my confusion. Thanks much.
What is better the p-525 or the DGX-670?
Dear.. can u suggest as an intermediate keyboard user.. i am in a confusion with korg EK-50 and roland EX-30.. which one should i take..
Where can I buy the Clavinova cvp series?
Just subscribed, excellent & great vids.
Greetings from Sabah, Mal.
Which is better please ydp164b or the clavinova clp130
Hi Jemery, thank you for the review. Would love to know what do you think of Roland RP501R? I'm thinking of getting one and I always like Yamaha YDP-164 but I want something with Bluetooth and unfortunately, the Arius range doesn't come with Bluetooth function. The salesman was pushing for Kawai CA49. And what do you think of that too?
Very nice video. Maybe you could make a similar one with casio's models? Looking forward to it!
Play a bass from both of them to know if I should buy one
What do you think about the digital piano Korg G1 Air? It seems well. I want to buy it.
Which is the best midi controller under 200 dollars (I want a 49 or 61 key keyboard with drum pads fades and knobs)
