@@xzOSSOzx Even if Ekko left heaven, experiencing all that just to lose it again could be argued just as devastating as what Jayce went through. You could say both went through hell, in their own ways.
Do you all realise that this peaceful universe will be destroyed? These Ekko and Powder will die, because it's the same universe were Jayce was. They all where thrown in the same universe but in different times. Heimerdinger appeared in the past, Ekko in present days and Jayce in the future.
I do think it is a ruse of the author. Seeing how a few seconds, or just a frame(ing) can let the public hate one person. Excellent. 13/12 like everything in Arcane.
fun fact: the Hot air baloon was here since season 1. It was where jinx lived, it was just broken and hanging in a chasm until she fixed it up for the fight.
its CRIMINAL that they cut the part where Ekko tells her about Powder in another universe and they work together and paint eachothers outfits.... they really should have kept this scene, we needed it soo much more than this totally unnecessary Vi and Cait s*x scene
@@HK-gm8pe I'm sorry but we did need Cait and Vi scene. They've had a developing love story since the beginning and have been through a lot to eventually be together. They needed that scene for many reasons. I don't know why people who ship ekko and jinx feel the need to shit on caitvi's story to get to a point. They could have had both those scenes but they didn't. And Caitvi are the main couple.
I found it really beautiful, she literally threw everything she had at Piltover to help, even her own little sanctuary. I thought that was a great detail
I love the idea of what Viktors reaction to Ekko at the end there must have been ‘That random kid is pretty quick how- IS THAT A FUCKING TIME MACHINE?!’
Heimerdinger had a similar reaction when Ekko proposed the idea. "Inconceivable! Literally, it can't be done." And our boy Ekko was like just watch me do it anyhow.
Viktor: Becoming a god, winning, gloriously evolving everyone in the world Some Zaun kid he has literally never met: **breaches all his defenses, attacks him, throws an impossible time machine bomb at him, successfully brings his emotions back somehow, does not elaborate, leaves**
Apparently, there’s deleted scenes in the finale where Ekko tells Jinx about the alternate universe, and they paint each other’s clothes and create the airship with a montage that mirrors the montage from Episode 7 but the showrunners cut it for runtime. I don’t sign petitions but if there’s one out there for the director’s cut, I’ll sign it.
We were robbed of at least one of those scenes. Having one of the main characters commit suicide 5 times and having a secondary character save her all of those times would make for a pretty powerful follow up. But they cut that? Terrible decision imo. What did Ekko tell her about what he experienced in the other universe? Did he show affection to her other than just through words? Did he welcome her to the fire lights hideout? Did they kiss (or more, not that I want to see those two kids go at it, but you know)? Did they bond to the point of falling for each other, or just reconciliation and healing? I would have loved to see that sequence, even if it was short.
@@therealneal3034 I get that. I still think a scene like that was not only necessary but also crucial for their development as characters. Giving Jinx motivation and a reason to live and fight again is PRETTY important if you ask me.
Fun fact: the dance scene between Ekko and Powder is animated at 4 frames due to the 4 seconds that Ekko can turn back time. This shows that Ekko could have repeated that moment over and over again, but he simply lives it and lets it pass, as he does with the universes, in this universe he is happy but he knows that he is not belongs there, and people need him in his.
Another fun fact to go along with this: In Heimerdinger's song, he sings about turning the hourglass over and counting to 10. When Ekko pushes his Z-Drive to the max? Yep, he goes back 10 seconds.
technically its 6 fps, a typical scene is 24 fps so basically every 4 seconds in the dance is like 1 second in real time. which carries a similar sentiment of living in the moment.
As a whole, animation has taken a massive hit lately, but for adult animation, the creativity is stronger than ever. Between Arcane, Invincible, Blue Eyed Samurai, Scavengers Reign and Pantheon, it feels like there's a Renaissance going on right now.
@@IAmHavok I still need to see Wild Robot, but Dreamworks is _killing_ it lately. After Puss in Boots, I love the direction they're taking their stories and I think they found their lane again
Btw, that automaton that attacks Jayce & Mel was Huck - the weaselly merchant who became a shimmer junky, turned Viktor worshipper. The guy who was greeting Vi & Jinx at their gates. - This is what Viktor turned them into.
@@charliechristensen6663 Not only that, but it's poetic. Sort of a parallel in how Huck is the first one Viktor heals, then takes up the role of welcoming newcomers to his Utopia, and then becomes his messenger to Jayce and Mel. The Herald's Herald if you will.
@rega5888 because the show shows is that it's him. He's the first person viktor turns into an automaton and he hasn't turned the rest yet when he attacks jayce and Mel
He also said when he runs into Vi and Cait (and sells them out to Silco) that he wanted to know what it was like to be someone strong/make other people afraid. Viktor gives that to him.
Spoilers: The ending is even more impactful when you realize the manifestation of arcane pushing Ekko, Himerdinger, and Jayce into alternate realities was the work of future Viktor. Both Jayce's new point of view and Ekko's time reset were necessary for the ending to happen as it did.
That "Random" hot air balloon was Jinx's lair. Those are the propellers she was always sitting on and throwing stuff off the edges. She mentioned WAAAAAAY back in the first arc (maybe even on the first episode) that she'd ride an airship one day. She's been building one this whole time.
I don't know if she was building one this whole time, but her hideout was an abandoned ventilation shaft for the fissures, and those blades were the fans. It's ironic that her home (and her eventual balloon) was thanks to the Kiramman ventilation system all along. We know from S2E3 and from S2E9 Cait looking at the blueprints for clues of where Jinx might be, that Jinx knows the ventilation systems well.
You're the only other person I know who noticed the eye movement for "statue Jayce"--which makes that whole tableau even creepier. I think the show's creators, even more than assuming their audience is smart, assume they're actually engaged with it, not scrolling through Reddit or flipping through Tiktok on their phones. As you note, it rewards rewatching more than just about any other show out there, animated or life-action. The raw amount of intentionality in every frame and every line is intimidating.
Ep 7 solidified Jayce being the guy to stop victor not cause victor chose him but cause of how he forced himself to stay alive... Considering he was previously ready to end it all last season makes it even more emotional for me
There is a fantastic paradoxical nature going on with the story as well. Jayce forced Victor to stay alive, but Jayce himself wouldn't have been alive in the first place if he didn't do that, because its Victor turning into the bad guy and destroying everything that leads to him going back into the past and saving Jayce and his mother, starting the story to begin with. Which also means that the reality that Eko finds himself in is a reality where Victor didn't save Jayce and therefore Jayce never saved Victor!.
@ and you know the writers knew exactly what they were doing Imagine having that quality of story on your hands and not letting it get to your head thinking you could make it better Just incredible stuff
@@drakenfist victor would have had to save jayce because vi died in the lab explosion. i figure either jayce also died in that explosion or he received a much harsher punishment because of vi's death. it appears that powder only had two spheres so the explosion was probably larger and jayce took a big hit in the original one.
@@meewec2091 No its not the same scenario. Notice that the chrystals in the explosion are unrefined, with Ekko pulling out fragments out of the wall. They're not the same hextec balls that Jayce made. Meaning that someone else had them but hadn't come close to using them to make hextech. They were just clumps of crystals. Vi being in the room also means that someone like Jayce didn't try to open the door, which lead to them running in the first place, and because they were clumps of Chrystals and not balls. It means that once it dropped, that's it. Rather than it rolling into the side of the wall to make a impact.
Ok, about Heimerdinger. I don't if the show will use it, but his race is almost immortal. Nobody knows how it really works but when yordles die they _respawn_ in their home city (bandle city). It's possible he could be back in some form, but he could also be _dead_ dead.
@@BassLineProductionsI Bandle City has magic portals to literally every location in existence. Presumably, as fey-like magical creatures, they aren't constrained to a single iteration of reality or time period, which is why Heimerdinger knew exactly what had happened when he dropped into the Hextech-less dimension.
Maybe in the next series we will see another yordle. I feel like the next series we will see noxus war. Since we already saw swain crow at the end of the show.
Vene not knowing the game lore, he's prolly alive considering how the animators/director played that scene. When Heimer was connecting the power couplings a la Back to the Future, we quickly jump cut to Jace being sent back, and the exact moment Jayce blinks out, we quickly jump back to Heimer gone, in the exact same position as Jayce. While you can interpret that as dying, it also works that he got sent "somewhere" like Jayce.
My favourite detail of the finale is that in a show about grief and change and cycles of violence and getting stuck in the past, the thing that ends up saving the day is the acceleration rune, its moving forward and moving on that heals the soul.
After many attempts by Viktor with different runes, the one successful attempt was with the acceleration rune. Which is the rune that Ekko copied from Jayce's notes to finally create the "inconceivable"/"this device can't be" Z-Drive. Which is what made THE difference in the final battle. In the defeated world that Jayce visited, that world's Ekko didn't have the Z-Drive. The acceleration rune was the key to this universe's success.
Once the Jinx escaping via pink streak of shimmer teleport was pointed out, it's SOOOO obvious and easy to notice every time. First time I totally missed it though. So glad Jinx survived. Doubt we'll see her again though.
I don't know, Demacia is one of the regions on the slate for the next show. Bringing in Lux would be a good excuse to bring her back, even if only for a cameo.
Nat Jayce’s hammer didn’t work when he was sent to the dark future, so he deassembled his hammer so he could make a leg brace and stick to walk and make it out the hole
I loved your speech at the beginning about how good and refreshing it is to end the show after two seasons as it was initially planned. I feel the exact same way. Obviously we feel super sad but that's precisely what so great about it!
I'm 63 yo, and like you, if someone had told me that an animation series adapted from a video game would become one of my my all-time overall favourite shows, I would have called them crazy, but yes, Arcane has easily won this place. My only sorrow with this second season is evident : there was so much to cram in, that the nine episodes format was just too narrow to fit everything that was happening, most often at the same time but at different places and different people. Not to mention that the Black Rose stuff, although cool, was obviously inserted for the following Riot LoL series to come, and took quite some time off the main plot. Still the best overall (cinematography, esthetics, story-telling, world-building, etc, etc...) show I've seen !
Man I'm just now realizing that those three kids (Vi, Powder, and Ekko)had it horrible. Vi spent her remaining childhood in prison, Powder lost her family twice and created another identity to cope with it becoming a full-on problem in the process, and poor Ekko being the youngest had to turn to the streets of the already hard undercity to survive on his own after watching his father figure get slaughtered at the orders of Silco while also seeing the girl he loved turn into Silco's daughter and embrace him. Sheesh.
We basicaly got The Dark Knight Returns moment. Jinx "died", Cait saw she got out like Lucius Fox discovering that someone fixed the auto-pilot from The Bat, and... Well. Now Powder can have a diferent life.
Hopefully with Ekko either waiting for her somewhere or Ekko himself on top of that ship she flew off in, just like Bruce and Felicia did when Alfred looked across the table at that italian restaurant.
I dont think so, ekko was alone at the end on the rooftop. Maybe in the next series we will know what happens to them as riot confirmed there will be 3 more series in runutera universe.
@@rafilalif He was alone at the rooftop during night time and we see the ship fly away during daylight. We also don't know how much time passed between "Jinx's sacrifice" and her flying away from Piltover. I imagine the city mourning ritual happened a few days later after the whole sequence of events.
In that moment Victor look in the distance he was sawing another wild rune beeing teleported to his universe, something that should be impossible and them he is distracted by mel and dont think about It anymore. He thinks he confused something cause a wild rune take years to make, but in that moment he saw ekko coming back to their reality
And as for Maddie.....I CALLED IT!!! Maddie and Ambessa working together!!!! And I feel so vindicated now that it was also confirmed by the lead writer!!! Maddie was a plant all along!! - Maddie was the first to beat her chest - Pulled from the car-thing during the memorial attack by huge Shimmer suit dude and NOT killed - Maddie was in bed (god that still makes me sick) trying to get Cait to see Ambessa is trying to “protect them” - Maddie was eaves dropping at the door when Cate & Vi had their argument about Powder - Maddie was carrying the bomb…and also sabotaged it - Maddie showed ZERO remorse or hesitation in pulling the trigger Then there is what Ambessa told Vi in Episode 6...."your absence provided a vacuum I was able to fill." She could have been meaning herself...but it is 100% confirmed now that she meant Maddie. And yes….the “I did appreciate your warmth”…not “I loved you, how could you betray me like this”, not “I will miss you”….simply she APPRECIATED it!! Someone who was simply a jilted lover would NOT just pull the trigger like she did, and in the single black and white image, you see her SMILING!!! Cait wasn’t anything to Maddie…she was a job.
I really wish they had done her differently I kinda predicted a love triangle between Vi, Cait, and Maddie. Although I imagined that Maddie would've gone for Vi because of the way Maddie looked up to her when we first met Also, I was under the impression that Maddie took Cait's advances out of nievity, considering her good nature and loyalty. Plus, her chest beat was being while looking Cait, so I could assume that she was doing out of admiration for Cait
There was so much about the Cait/Vi scene to love…. How Cait was going to be honest and tell her she was with someone else….and Vi giving ZERO fucks because she has her cupcake back. Then Cait is the one who rips her shirt off in front of Vi very aggressively, but then is soft and gentle undoing Vi’s wrapping…and is then CONTINUALLY gentle with her. Gently caressing her, touching her, giggling with her in pure joy because she is FINALLY with who she truly WANTS to be with. And Vi…alternating between being very aggressive with Cait, and then being very gentle with her. Showing Cait that it has basically been her….ALWAYS. Just such a perfect love story for these two. People said that they actually did it in season 1 at some point, but this scene right here is almost irrefutable proof that THIS is their first time. The gentle touches, the way that they look at each others bodies, the happy giggle when fumbling to get undressed....just all so PERFECT!!!! It wasn't about sex...it was about love, trust, letting go, giving in, and intimacy...all the things they NEEDED in that moment with each other, knowing what was about to come. So happy I got my Violyn back.
My only issue with the scene is the lack of thought behind it. One of Vi’s main priorities for the entirety of Arcane was making sure Jinx was OK, even when they were at each other’s throats. When Jinx locks Vi in the cell, she heavily insinuates that she’s going to commit to end the cycle, and that should have been setting off bells in Vi’s head. Instead of immediately rushing to try and find her sister and make sure she’s okay, (per her character building throughout the show) she’d rather get it on with Cait. To be fair though, this is a nitpick, and I don’t dislike the scene whatsoever, but I did it a bit odd. The fact that this is my only nitpick about the entire series speaks volumes to the fantastic job that the creators did with this show
@@nerdz1120 a LOT of people are saying this...and it is a fair point. But also, Powder saying she was going to "break the cycle" doesn't always indicate suicidal thoughts. To me...a more realistic take on that same theme would be Cait going to Vi's cell, and making love to her WITHOUT telling her that Powder is suicidal because of THEIR conversation earlier. Withholding the information from her. Which, in itself, could also be seen ans both good and bad. Good from the standpoint that it would keep Vi focused on the fight about to happen (not just the love scene) Bad from the standpoint that she knows how much Vi wants to "redeem" Powder, and isn't letting her know the urgency of her mindset.
@@nerdz1120 three things. there is really no indication to Vi Jinx is gonna do anything but run off again, you need to separate what you the audience knows and what the character knows. 2. It makes sense that she would be looking for catharsis after her sister tricked her AGAIN (that's what it looks like to her) When Caitlyn teases her calling her predictable she suddenly kisses her almost like "how's this for predictable?" Its passionate not a decision. As for the setting this is the same cell she met Cait in we can assume this by how she looks over her shoulder and recreates the scene from ep 4 season 1 making it perfectly symbolic place for them to show true trust and vulnerability to each other
I agree with the statement that the show creators treat the audience as smart and capable of picking up on "items" they stuck all over the place. Once I realized that, I went back and watched again looking for items I missed the first time. There are so many of them. Like Jinx and Ekko wearing each others colors and symbols as they rode the balloon into the last battle. I have never had such a strong reaction to a show or film like I did with both Arcane seasons. Riot Games really knocked it out of the park, even if I felt like season two was rushed.
Episode 7 became one of my favourite pieces of animated media immediately. Maybe because its the only happy episode? Idk I can still see that dance and the french song playing in my head as clear as I watched it.
- Ekko gave Jinx the idea not to destroy but to create a new path - Short purple flash of Jinx's abilities a moment before the explosion - Cait looking at the plans of the ventilation shafts through which Jinx could escape - The air balloon at the very end is the same one that Powder said about in episode 1 "one day I'll fly on it" Jinx is alive 99.9%
Another hint about Jinx being alive is her violet shimmer-light just an instant before the explosion. You can see that light when she goes super fast, so that's the proof that she escaped the explosion at the last moment
Ekko the true boy saviour... also im pretty sure that Jayce and Viktor will be teleported somewhere in a future show. Also Jinx said in S1E1 that one day she would "ride in one of those one day" referring to the blimp at the end
Ambessa is the only League of Legends champion that truly died. Jynx escaped. Jayce and Victor got teleported. Heimer can't die by his lore (also no body, no death). Warwick can easily survive that blast, peel off the metal skin and haunt the streets like his lore.
Your comment of Mylo's mustache 🤣 When I saw him all I could think was "what a freaking dork" but I also loved them showing that they are close with Powder in this reality, relying on her in a way like they did with Vi ♥
Fun fact: if you look closely at the details of the machine that attacked Jayce and Mel in the council chamber, you'll see that it very closely resembles Huck's features and is most likely his 'evolved' form.
Thank you so much for the reaction , Natalie! I think you’re one of the few people on RUclips who really appreciated what the storytellers did with this show.
To lighten the load a bit, assuming they're still using this lore, yordles cannot die. So Heimerdinger is most likely not dead, he probably just got transported to Bandle City (where yordles live).
I'm gonna preface this by saying, at the end of the day, I really like Mel and overall felt like her story was pretty good. My hot take though is that she should have died when Jinx's rocket hit the council. Her death would have added a lot of depth to Ambessa and Caitlyn's relationship (having just lost their daughter and mother, respectively), and would have made room for some of the development in other stories that kind of felt... missing. I would have rather had some more development with Jinx and Isha, maybe some buildup of Warwick before the "wolfman-Vander" arc, and we definitely could have used some more screentime with Jinx and Ekko in the finale, and more epilogue overall (for a "final season", a lot was left hanging for the sake of more shows).
I'm theory i like this but if Mel died jayce would have died too. I think they should have replaced Mel with a blackrose operative killed her at the funeral then revealed the black rose kidnapping in ep 7. Still the real solution was to have 3 more episodes for the final season but I think they didnt give the animation studio enough time for that
Really cool detail. The laser beam Victor uses to cut through the steel to get to where Jayce is, its pretty much exactly like one of the expirements Viktor and Jayce showed Heimerdinger in episode 4 of season 1. Then Viktor claimed artists and more could use it. Now he's simply using it as a weapon
I could take twenty more seasons of this but this ending was perfect! I’m so sad it’s over but so happy they’ll be telling more stories from the universe. I wonder if any of the characters will cross over?
That scene in the jail cell. I've never seen such a human portrayal of it. The urgency, tenderness, even the silly giggles. Regardless of your gender or orientation, if you're a human who's had that, you'll relate.
This! There are so many scenes where while there's a sense of urgency and love and/or desire they feel somewhat rehearsed. The way it was portrayed here was genuine and human in the way two people connect with each other. Well written.
THIS!!!!! IS exactly what I said when I saw it as a good example of making a love scene without necessarily being all about sex, because of all the build up, all the emotional entanglement, makes it loving and less physical, but at the same time, jokingly; they were so pent-up about it that They needed to let loose.
This show is so close to perfect. Like a 9.9 out of 10. The only thing that sullies its perfect score (in my opinion) is the final episode. I think that this show would have benefited from an extra long finale or an extra episode (which would have broken their 3 episode per act thing, tbf). A little more time with Jinx and Ekko between him saving her and them both showing up at the final fight (which was CUT from the show for time) would have gone a long way, and I think this show deserved a longer epilogue, not LOTR length, but a bit more time to ease off the gas and ease on the brakes.
There's a few bits of that this season. Like, nothing is out of character or left field, but just not expanded on as much as would be ideal. There's a ton that happens between scenes that would work much better shown.
@@DrJones0801 Her sister punched her in the side, locked her in her place, blessed her relationship, and implied she was leaving Piltover. And it looked like at least some time had passed, not like Cait and Jinx passed each other on the stairs. To Vi, Jinx was back in control of her destiny, and Vi had ruined her chance at reconnecting with Cait. Then Cait shows up and tells her everything is forgiven. WE know what Jinx intended, but as far as Vi knew she was halfway to Noxus.
This finale felt almost like Inception. There’s multiple high stakes plot lines going on simultaneously, time is manipulated in a very brilliant and entertaining way, and the whole episode needs to be rewatched to completely understand all of the incredibly important, subtle things that you absolutely miss on the first viewing.
I must say, Jayce and Viktor's story is one of my favorite things about the show. Victor lets go of his humanity, but Jayce is the one to bring him back to it. The question, "Why do you persist? After everything I've done?" is a tearjerker on its own. Because Viktor and Jayce were partners, and he knows that that person is still in there, hence the breaking of the shell. There is still some humanity in all of us, it's always going to be there no matter how much some will try their hardest to deny it. It reminds me of House M.D. (awesome show, great character moments, actor performances, etc.), Dr. House this sarcastic, mostly-misanthropic person and this complete opposite of a best friend Dr. Wilson. Yet they have a friendship so strong that keeps them together seemingly regardless of anything that's thrown at them or whatever they do to each other. I find the similarities present, in regards to the concept of a bond that is that strong to where you would want to do all in your power for the sake of that person no matter what happens. It's one my favorite lines that I've heard in any piece of media in recent years: "In all timelines, in all possibilities, only you can show me this."
I love the wordless undesrtanding between Ekko and Vi to work togheter. One nod is all it takes. It's especially cool, since, as far as Vi knows, Ekko died in S' when Jinx blew themselves up on the bridge. So Ekko is just suddenly back from the dead, and they are instantly back in action, just like old times.
I absolutely get where Ekko is coming from, as much as I would’ve loved to stay behind in this perfect world, I would never rest or know true peace if I left behind everyone else behind knowing I could truly help save them. The saddest part is I know that Vi would absolutely give her life if it meant that everyone could live in a world a beautiful and peaceful as that. I’d do the same thing. But I love how even though our Ekko left to go back home, this worlds Ekko is still alive and continues to live a beautiful life with Powder.
One of the things I've helped with got this season was Caitlin and VI getting their happy ending together I am so glad they gave us that because Vi deserves to be happy and she and Caitlin are so good together
Obligatory comment on Jinx -- She survived. Although it didn't show it. 1- Slow down the explosion scene and you'll see a zip of pink (middle top of screen) towards the piping area just before the explosion fully happens. 2- Caitlyn has the head of the bomb, like we saw in S1 E3 when Vi was looking, - back then there was no body and we know Powder survived, Cait having it more than likely proves she went down where the explosions were - and no body. 3- Caitlyn is literally looking at the air vent shaft piping schematics in the scene afterwards. 4- The ship that flies over at the end is a momento in S1 E1 where Powder says "One day I will ride on one of them" - And the ship we see at the end is also half blue. 5- Lastly, the show runner and actors were all asked recently about if she survived or not. Showrunner smirked and moved to the next question, and the actor of vi/jinx smirked at each other before saying "who knows" with a beaming smile.
For those wanting more of Runeterra, I highly recommended the book *Ruination* by Anthony Reynolds, its a great story about a completely different region of this absurdly diverse world that is Runeterra Particularly, the audiobook version is just phenomenal, the voice acting is beautiful and it really immerse you into the narrative
I didn't realize until my 4th watch through Ep 7. The world in Ep 7 is probably so much better BECAUSE heimerdinger was able to correct a lot of the mistakes they made in their timeline. So Jayce, in that timeline was likely banished from piltover. Since Jayce was banished, heimerdinger was never voted off the council and was able to use what he learned from Ekko in their timeline to improve the new one. Such a cool little theory/ detail.
He had three years to engineer a change in the dynamics between Piltover and Zaun, and that span of time is certainly enough for him to have enacted serious changes after the explosion in Jayce's workshop killed Vi and Cait. With both Topside and Bottom losing a child, it's easy to see why Hextech never became a thing in their reality.
Everyone's reaction to Maddie is my favorite. Thanks for the reaction to this masterpiece. It's so good I'm just vicariously reliving the first time watching it, through other people haha. You had great takes and caught a lot of the parallels in the show, which are all over the place. People say it was rushed or it was flawed in the end. But.. "There is no reward in perfection, only the end to pursuit." - My favorite new quote. Arcane is such a work of art. Also, love that the theme of the story, is the extreme lengths that people will go to for love. Almost every character, the good ones, and the bad ones, were acting out of love for someone. All types of love, romantic, familial, plutonic.. it's so so so good.
Re: 'two seasons' As I've gotten older, and the general range of great content has expanded so much!, I've come to really appreciate show runners who set a reasonable span of a story. And have the time to cover that story.
i like when shows that are telling a story have it planned out from the start and are allowed to follow their own pacing. that way you don't end up with weird "ok, we gotta make another season out of this current season of stuff". so many shows have to either cram everything from 2-3 seasons into one because of cancelation or need to stretch a season out for 2-3 by adding more and it just hurts the overall show
I'm still trying to wrap my head around at how absolutely insane this show was, in every single aspect. Its one for the ages, and I see no other studio even getting closer to what these guys achieved in terms of world building, storytelling, character arcs and the sheer madness of the visuals. The end is bittersweet, as it should and could only be, in such a tragic story. Sad there will be no more.
I 100% agree with your note about how catching all the details can significantly impact your watching experience. I'm trying to get my family to watch. But my mom either just looks at her phone, or goes somewhere else, and just listens to it. And she says she's not that into it. Like, Have you tried??!??
This just isn't a show you can listen to in the background. There is so much visual storytelling going on (at all times) that you have to be actively watching and taking everything in. I definitely recommend that people do a full rewatch from S1 all the way through, as there is so much context added by knowing how things end. So many of the early hints were planted in the first season, including the detail of how the Hexgate became anomalous in the first place: The day Jayce was made a Councilor, he and Viktor were in the Hexgate at the top of the shaft leading down to the failsafe. Viktor had a coughing fit while Jayce was talking to Marcus, and when he braced himself on the railing, his nose dripped blood down the shaft. When Jayce, Ekko, and Heimerdinger went to the failsafe, Heimerdinger noticed the corrupted spot where Viktor's blood had landed. Just like with the Hexcore, mixing blood with the Arcane turned it into a consuming force that could only lead to ruin. They were always going to stir up trouble with Hextech, but Vicky Boy's blood ensured it was going to be extra gnarly. I've spent three years banging on about what a tightly written and animated show this is, and I'm going to die on that hill. There is no wasted dialogue and there are no idle frames. Every word spoken and every second animated were focused and intentional. I've never seen another writing/animation team pull off anything near this level of perfection.
The point you made about a series ending when it is meant to is vitally important. The urge to want more of a good thing is almost irresistible, but thats how stories get reduced to being "the IP". In an industry where good ideas are squeezed out to the last drop, the integrity to stick to your vision is a thing of beauty in and of itself.
seen a lot of people question/get upset with the CaitVi scene in the prison cell but i really don't get any of the arguments. There's no reason to assume Vi knew what Jinx meant, and especially on the heels of the Silco scene and Jinx's talk with Caitlyn it matters a LOT that we see Vi finally choose for herself for once in her life, AND given those two moments there's also a lot of important symbolism in the scene happening within an opened prison cell
If there's one thing that I've learned watching this show, it's that a ton of people are illiterate when it comes to visual storytelling. I don't say that to be mean but as a general observation. I think most people are so used to banal cinematography that they don't realize what's actually being shown to them. Also, I imagine a ton of people aren't used to watching animated shows and therefore don't realize that adult animation follows the same rules of cinematography that movies do. The scene with Vi and Cait is so heavy with meaning that I hardly breathed the entire way through. The framing, the looks, the fumbling and laughter... it was such a down-to-earth, realistic portrayal of finding comfort in the midst of grief and of learning to "fill your own cup". The way it mirrored their meeting was truly top-notch writing/animation. I'll also point out that Jinx said that Vi deserved to be with Caitlyn: not as a slight, not said bitterly, but said with meaning and love. She wanted Vi to be happy with Caitlyn, to not have to look over her shoulder all the time and finally be free. She broke the cycle by walking away, and she did it the only way she could. If Vi knew she was alive, she would never stop looking for her. Even Cait, suspecting that Jinx made it out alive at the end, simply smiles and tucks the knowledge away. We've seen over and over again how astute she is and how well she puts disparate pieces of evidence together. Not only does she think she's alive, she likely knows that Jinx doesn't want Vi to know, and she keeps this to herself. I honestly think Vi and Cait have one of the most realistic and non-toxic relationships in the show. What little true toxicity there is comes from the Romeo and Juliet nature of their relationship and the fact that Caitlyn was being manipulated in her grief. Caitlyn takes full-responsibility when Vi calls her out and doesn't try to argue. When talking to Jinx, she says "our crimes". She blatantly states "Hating you, I've hated myself", which sure as hell sounds like character development to me. tl:dr: Haters gonna hate... or whatever it is the kids are saying these days. I love this show as much as you do! I was disappointed for so many months that this series didn't win any polls. And it's so rewarding to know that it has become one of your favorite series.
I wasn't expecting to be so crushed by Ekko's storyline. Knowing that he had to make the noble choice and give up the happy life he had with his loved ones still alive. That dance scene with Powder was so beautifully animated with the lower frame rate so each moment lasts longer. And to think Ekko saved everyone from Viktor and he didn't even get a chance to be with Jinx in the main timeline. Truly the Boy Savior.
36:35 the third hint that Jinx might have survived is a single purple flash of light at the start of the explosion (top of the screen), just like her "shimmer teleportation"
36:57 if you play the explosion after Jinx and Warwick fall, right as it starts there is a pink streak that darts into one of the air ducts, which is what Jinx looks like when she uses the shimmer super speed. The creators and writers all confirmed that Jinx did indeed survive.
I feel Fortiche took Arcane Season Two as a tech demonstrator to showcase the different animation techniques the studio is capable of. They were previously a relatively small studio that relies a lot on Riot / League of Legends for their projects, but really expanded over the course of Arcane. I wonder if they are making use of the increased public attention around Season Two to attract future clients so that they aren't completely reliant on Riot Games.
Ekko asking if they could act like it was the first time was so heartbreaking. Him realizing the ekko of this universe is already in a relationship with Powder & Powder realizing that this Ekko isn’t her Ekko. Him wanting it to be special again
Just so you know, Heimerdinger is a Yordle. They're a magical, whimsical race that originate from Bandle City, a pocket dimension parallel to Runeterra. They reform there when they "die" so they're effectively immortal. So he'll be fine. "Join the Glorious Evolution" is Viktor's most famous and meme-able line from League of Legends. Notice that Maddie handed fish guy the bomb that just so happened to jam? Also, notice the "structure" of the hot air balloon. It's Jinx's home base, that big exhaust fan, lifted from Zaun for one last battle. The "runestones" that Ambessa was wearing are an item in League of Legends called Kaenic Rookern which gives you a shield that mitigates damage from magic, so it's very lore accurate. That blue bat/sword thing that Ekko uses against Viktor is his weapon in League of Legends. And his Z-drive ultimate ability allows him to go back to where he was 4s ago.
Honestly as soon as Echo had his arc in the "what could have happened" universe I KNEW that despite all of his fighting and hatred of Jinx, he had gotten to see who she could have been if she had just gotten the chance and who she DESERVED to be that he was going to do his damndest to save her. I love almost every single character in this show. I can't count the amount of times it made me cry.
I love the dichotomy of Vi/Jinx fight and Jayce, I saw I saw someone say that Vijinx were having family issues while Jace was fighting a cosmic horror and I’ve been chuckling ever since; also fun fact that flashback is from Vader’s perspective, violet and powder to bed so maybe that was the last bit of Vander getting his daughter to safety letting them escape
Small thing to note. When Jinx is blowing herself up, she originally thinks Ekko is just in her mind so she pulls the pin. However, the time she acknowledges that he's actually there she jumps instead so she won't hurt him
Early Heimerdinger had his flaws. He, like the rest of the council, was ignorant to the plight of the undercity. He saw the world on a larger timescale so he failed to connect with and understand smaller individuals (heh, "smaller"). It was only when he finally visited the undercity and saw the people's lives there that he started to take huge strides in his character arc. He couldn't be a good mentor to Jayce because he couldn't see from Jayce's short lifespan perspective. But then he met Ekko, marveled at what he'd accomplished in his brief lifespan, and listened to his "not just what they need to survive, but what they need to *live*" speech. It's from here forward that Heimerdinger became so much more. When he and Ekko were about to travel back to their universe, a panel suddenly ripped off, knocked several levers away, and disconnected a cable. Then flew through the portal which vaporized it, so Heimerdinger knew he was going to get vaporized as well. "Since I met you, my boy," he didn't just survive, he "truly lived." Heimerdinger was a real hero.
I do wish they had gone with a 3rd season, more episodes or longer episodes. The pacing this season was very off, which is a shame because there are stories that could have been explored more.
Season 1 for me is a 10/10 and Season 2 for me is a 9/10, still a work of art and still a Masterpiece of a series in my opinion and i can't wait to see what these guys decide to cook up next whatever it is, i'm be waiting to eat it all up and ask for more lol!
The scene with Vander putting little Powder and Violet to sleep hit me hard especially, because to next see that Jinx would sacrifice herself to save her sister and finally put her suffering father to rest made me tear up. 😢
Just 2 seasons and this show had such an impact. We care about these characters, we are interested in the story/lore, we are blown away by the visuals and touched by the music. Such an amazing show.
the fear in Cait's eyes when she was about to get shot by Maddie made my heart DROP. Arcane writers are definitely not shy to kill off any characters which we all well know of, so I was convinced they would kill Cait at that moment and ruin my life
I must say that episode 7 is definitely my favorite episode of the season, its so beautiful 😍🥺😭 I'm so happy that at least in one universe Ekko and Powder (Jinx) are happy together ⏳💣💚💙 and that song ma meilleure ennemie is perfect 🥰
This song (and ofc the dance scene) has become a worldwide phenomenon. Top in Spotify. I've read postings from people who want to learn French because of this song. And in Belgium and France the song ranked very high in the charts (number 1 or so). Timebomb shippers who hoped three years (and longer, because this relationship was hinted in the game) are very happy now.
So many people miss the fact that Jayce has dismantled his hammer to make the splint for his leg. Also, the same way as Heimerdinger was in that alternate timeline for more than 1000 days, Jayce also has been in his alternate timeline for an extended period of time, which explains the fact that his leg healed some, and he grew the beard. I have had lots of fun going around forums and comments and seeing what other crumbs people observe in the show, everything about this show is carefully crafted and intentional, and I think it's a genial way to keep you invested even more, even after the show ended.
You need to make a rating / review video. / watch necrits video on leagues mmo. (He goes over all the lore briefly it’s super exciting as they go over other regions that they are making for arcane)
I am just sad that this show did ambaessa disservice by not explaining her past as to how much she suffered and how much she has lost at this point in time
I don't know if someone already mentioned it or not but in the lore when Ekko use the rewind, he still feel the pain that he was in before. So that's is why his clothes are smoking when he is saving Jinx from blowing them up (and the blood the scratchmarks and everything) that's not the rewind that's hurting him that's actually Jinx's weapon explosions (and he took a lot of them in the scene lmao) and also the other scene where the bot is punching him when he was about to hit Viktor on top of the Hexgates tower, Ekko rewind and continue with a nosebleed and bruises on his face because he took the hit and it's affecting him no matter what he do (You actually can see all of that in action on his champion teaser from League of Legends "Ekko : seconds", he's getting hit rewind and still keeping all the pain) Enjoy !
When he's trying to save Jinx, the hourglass on Ekko's face is wearing away more after each explosion until near the end there's only a little white paint left. He's running out of time.
Soo many people have said it.. but it’s so powerful Jayce went to hell and got back, but echo gave up heaven to save his home.
I still say Ekko is the real protagonist of this story. He's the only character that stood alone and stayed on the 'good' side the entire time.
He is the 'boy savior' after all.
@@xzOSSOzx Even if Ekko left heaven, experiencing all that just to lose it again could be argued just as devastating as what Jayce went through. You could say both went through hell, in their own ways.
Hell makes the man, but heaven makes the hero.
Do you all realise that this peaceful universe will be destroyed? These Ekko and Powder will die, because it's the same universe were Jayce was. They all where thrown in the same universe but in different times. Heimerdinger appeared in the past, Ekko in present days and Jayce in the future.
The level of spite and anger absolutely everyone gets when Maddie is revealed. I live for it
I want everyone to look up the flash frame the moment Maddie pulls the trigger.
🤬
i was a naddie hater off rip i was so happy to vindicated 😂😂
I do think it is a ruse of the author. Seeing how a few seconds, or just a frame(ing) can let the public hate one person. Excellent. 13/12 like everything in Arcane.
I appreciated your warmth 😂
fun fact: the Hot air baloon was here since season 1.
HOW DID I NEVER NOTICE. HOW. THANK YOU.
@@HK-gm8pe lmao 'unnecessary' imagine being wrong lol
I found it really beautiful, she literally threw everything she had at Piltover to help, even her own little sanctuary. I thought that was a great detail
Ep.07 was LITERALY the “In another life, I would have really liked just doing laundry and taxes with you” moment.

Just gonna kick me in the stomach huh 😢

The most boring romantic line ever which still means a lot somehow😂

“god forbid a woman has a side hustle”… i’m dead 😂
The pink line right before the explosion, and cait's smile at the air vents
Omg idk why i never noticed this thank you
I love the idea of what Viktors reaction to Ekko at the end there must have been ‘That random kid is pretty quick how- IS THAT A FUCKING TIME MACHINE?!’
When you throw a literal Time-Bomb at God and he's like, "What the fuck... is that shit??"
"what is that ... What IS that??" **Cardi B face**
Heimerdinger had a similar reaction when Ekko proposed the idea. "Inconceivable! Literally, it can't be done." And our boy Ekko was like just watch me do it anyhow.
Viktor: Becoming a god, winning, gloriously evolving everyone in the world
Some Zaun kid he has literally never met: **breaches all his defenses, attacks him, throws an impossible time machine bomb at him, successfully brings his emotions back somehow, does not elaborate, leaves**
It's literally the one and only time Ekko and Viktor have ever interacted and it's Ekko throwing an actual timebomb at the machine antichrist
Apparently, there’s deleted scenes in the finale where Ekko tells Jinx about the alternate universe, and they paint each other’s clothes and create the airship with a montage that mirrors the montage from Episode 7 but the showrunners cut it for runtime. I don’t sign petitions but if there’s one out there for the director’s cut, I’ll sign it.
that scene would have been so much better and impactful than the sex scene...
@ it’s the directors cut. I want both. 😂
I want it all. Arcane is THAT good.
@ I believe it was because the runtime would have been more than 90min but Netflix wanted them to keep it at 45. (I fully blame Netflix for this.)
Another fun fact to go along with this:
In Heimerdinger's song, he sings about turning the hourglass over and counting to 10. When Ekko pushes his Z-Drive to the max? Yep, he goes back 10 seconds.
technically its 6 fps, a typical scene is 24 fps so basically every 4 seconds in the dance is like 1 second in real time. which carries a similar sentiment of living in the moment.
Every time on the maddie reveal people get so angry. Then when she dies they laugh and curses her out. I love it.
As a whole, animation has taken a massive hit lately, but for adult animation, the creativity is stronger than ever. Between Arcane, Invincible, Blue Eyed Samurai, Scavengers Reign and Pantheon, it feels like there's a Renaissance going on right now.
Don't forget films like the Spiderverse movies, The Wild Robot, Moana etc.
Every single one you just mentioned is an absolute banger omg.
@@jacobwood4937 It's crazy cause I overlooked every one of them at first! They were cooking the whole time
@@IAmHavok I still need to see Wild Robot, but Dreamworks is _killing_ it lately. After Puss in Boots, I love the direction they're taking their stories and I think they found their lane again
@DigiMyst I completely agree
Btw, that automaton that attacks Jayce & Mel was Huck - the weaselly merchant who became a shimmer junky, turned Viktor worshipper. The guy who was greeting Vi & Jinx at their gates. - This is what Viktor turned them into.
Why do you think its him?
Take a look at the jewelry he’s wearing at the gate, then the jewelry of the thing that attacked Jayce and Mel.
This show is the closest thing we got to an episode of LOVE, DEATH and ROBOTS that was lucky enough to receive a complete series
Secret Level hype!
I just watched Pantheon and got serious LDR/Black Mirror flashbacks. Highly recommend
Victor in full god mode was when it clicked in me
Spoilers: The ending is even more impactful when you realize the manifestation of arcane pushing Ekko, Himerdinger, and Jayce into alternate realities was the work of future Viktor.
24:58 God forbid women have a side hustle🤣🤣🤣
I’m glad they decided to release these episodes weekly because I’m not sure I could handle this much sadness in a binge watch
I binge watched the entire season in one sitting. I've been feeling hollow ever since
7:05 the staff and splint were crafted from taking apart his hammer that previously crushed his leg
Yeah I don't get how she missed that lol
You're the only other person I know who noticed the eye movement for "statue Jayce"--which makes that whole tableau even creepier.
I think the show's creators, even more than assuming their audience is smart, assume they're actually engaged with it, not scrolling through Reddit or flipping through Tiktok on their phones. As you note, it rewards rewatching more than just about any other show out there, animated or life-action. The raw amount of intentionality in every frame and every line is intimidating.
Now take that realization of those "statues" and apply them to the final scene with Singed and his daughter. 😢
Ep 7 solidified Jayce being the guy to stop victor not cause victor chose him but cause of how he forced himself to stay alive... Considering he was previously ready to end it all last season makes it even more emotional for me
Jayce also lives* a parallel of Viktor's life: starting in the depths of Zaun with a broken leg and persevering to the pinnacle of Piltover
@ and you know the writers knew exactly what they were doing
Imagine having that quality of story on your hands and not letting it get to your head thinking you could make it better
Just incredible stuff
Wouldn't he still be in the wrong universe if he did respawn?
Doesn't look like they killed of mr. Heimer. The showrunner said he's not done with that character.
“Zaun’s Royalty!” I will forever be grateful to Mylo for giving Ekko & Jinx the title King & Queen of Zaun!!!
ussaly you use majesty for king and queen, royalty make sense for jinx given that her "father" is leader of zaun
Nat Jayce’s hammer didn’t work when he was sent to the dark future, so he deassembled his hammer so he could make a leg brace and stick to walk and make it out the hole
ahhhh makes sense!
Yes, you can see what's left of his hammer in pieces behind him, in that scene.

36:50 If you go back and look at the beginning of the grenade explosion , there is a purple hint zapping at one o' clock...
And as for Maddie.....I CALLED IT!!! Maddie and Ambessa working together!!!!
And I feel so vindicated now that it was also confirmed by the lead writer!!! Maddie was a plant all along!!
- Maddie was the first to beat her chest
- Pulled from the car-thing during the memorial attack by huge Shimmer suit dude and NOT killed
- Maddie was in bed (god that still makes me sick) trying to get Cait to see Ambessa is trying to “protect them”
- Maddie was eaves dropping at the door when Cate & Vi had their argument about Powder
- Maddie was carrying the bomb…and also sabotaged it
- Maddie showed ZERO remorse or hesitation in pulling the trigger
Then there is what Ambessa told Vi in Episode 6...."your absence provided a vacuum I was able to fill." She could have been meaning herself...but it is 100% confirmed now that she meant Maddie.
I really wish they had done her differently
I kinda predicted a love triangle between Vi, Cait, and Maddie. Although I imagined that Maddie would've gone for Vi because of the way Maddie looked up to her when we first met
Also, I was under the impression that Maddie took Cait's advances out of nievity, considering her good nature and loyalty. Plus, her chest beat was being while looking Cait, so I could assume that she was doing out of admiration for Cait
Also she was aiming at the base of Cait's neck, not her head. On the off chance she might not die, and would just suffer for longer
Good from the standpoint that it would keep Vi focused on the fight about to happen (not just the love scene)
Bad from the standpoint that she knows how much Vi wants to "redeem" Powder, and isn't letting her know the urgency of her mindset.
As for the setting this is the same cell she met Cait in we can assume this by how she looks over her shoulder and recreates the scene from ep 4 season 1 making it perfectly symbolic place for them to show true trust and vulnerability to each other
@@acetales148Whatever you have to tell yourself.
You're weird
I was waiting to see your reaction to episode 7. Did not disappoint. I watched all of season 1, got emotionally moved, but never cried. S2 E7 broke me
S1E7: Ekko and Jinx.
S2E7: Ekko and Powder.
NEEDED THIS! Finals week is NOT for the weak 😞
Good luck with your finals!!
facts Im watching this right before a presentation
@@charger4299 WE GOT THIS THO GOOD LUCK ALL THE BEST
@@NatalieGoldReacts awee thank you😊 *my chem final will be a Jayce arc I stg*
Episode 7 became one of my favourite pieces of animated media immediately. Maybe because its the only happy episode? Idk I can still see that dance and the french song playing in my head as clear as I watched it.
- Ekko gave Jinx the idea not to destroy but to create a new path
- Short purple flash of Jinx's abilities a moment before the explosion
- Cait looking at the plans of the ventilation shafts through which Jinx could escape
- The air balloon at the very end is the same one that Powder said about in episode 1 "one day I'll fly on it"
Jinx is alive 99.9%
Another hint about Jinx being alive is her violet shimmer-light just an instant before the explosion. You can see that light when she goes super fast, so that's the proof that she escaped the explosion at the last moment
I immediately thought of Natalie when Powder mentioned that Vi died in the explosion since in the first video she assumed it 😔
Ekko the true boy saviour... also im pretty sure that Jayce and Viktor will be teleported somewhere in a future show.
Gurl you’re the only one Ive seen who figured out the Airship and vent thing of Jinx💛 so smart this is why im a golden nugget😌
To lighten the load a bit, assuming they're still using this lore, yordles cannot die. So Heimerdinger is most likely not dead, he probably just got transported to Bandle City (where yordles live).
Ok Time to cry!!
At least one will and I have a hunch at least a couple of others might make an appearance.
"if you're a human who's had that..."
you did not have to call me out like that 😭
THIS!!!!! IS exactly what I said when I saw it as a good example of making a love scene without necessarily being all about sex, because of all the build up, all the emotional entanglement, makes it loving and less physical, but at the same time, jokingly; they were so pent-up about it that They needed to let loose.
This is the greatest television series I have ever seen.
@@michaelwoodby5261Vi doing Cait in the prison cell instead of making sure her sister is alive is very out of character
@@DrJones0801 Her sister punched her in the side, locked her in her place, blessed her relationship, and implied she was leaving Piltover. And it looked like at least some time had passed, not like Cait and Jinx passed each other on the stairs.

WE know what Jinx intended, but as far as Vi knew she was halfway to Noxus.
@@michaelwoodby5261 This is pure conjecture
"Poor Maddie"......... Yeah I bet you don't think that by the end 😂
She most certainly didn't. 🤣
The opinion whiplash on a certain character, you know who, in this season between the first and the last episode is hilarious to watch.
I greatly appreciate the vehemence with which people instantly flip to hating them. 😆
Love the outro discussion a lot. You summarized everything really well. I’m really gonna miss this show 😭
One of the things I've helped with got this season was Caitlin and VI getting their happy ending together I am so glad they gave us that because Vi deserves to be happy and she and Caitlin are so good together
Obligatory comment on Jinx --
She survived.
Showrunner smirked and moved to the next question, and the actor of vi/jinx smirked at each other before saying "who knows" with a beaming smile.
only point 3 is relevant, everything else is copium
@@joe.banana Why do you have an airship flying over the sea in the last scene then? Plus at the last frame you have written "the end" in Jinx "font".
Natalie mentioned some of those points when she said she googled what the airship signified. So I reckon she already believes Jinx survived.
She already figured that out immediately after the episode
6- Silco's voice telling her that the only real way to break a cycle is to walk away from it. This was her chance to walk away.
For those wanting more of Runeterra, I highly recommended the book *Ruination* by Anthony Reynolds, its a great story about a completely different region of this absurdly diverse world that is Runeterra
Particularly, the audiobook version is just phenomenal, the voice acting is beautiful and it really immerse you into the narrative
I love the Jinx and Echo scene was animated in 4 framers per second, the same amount of time he can travel backwards.
Re: 'two seasons'
As I've gotten older, and the general range of great content has expanded so much!, I've come to really appreciate show runners who set a reasonable span of a story.
So many of the early hints were planted in the first season, including the detail of how the Hexgate became anomalous in the first place:
The day Jayce was made a Councilor, he and Viktor were in the Hexgate at the top of the shaft leading down to the failsafe.
You should always want more of a good thing. If you don't, that means it likely overstayed its welcome.
seen a lot of people question/get upset with the CaitVi scene in the prison cell but i really don't get any of the arguments.

The cuts from ekko and heimerdinger in this ideal alternate reality to jayce in the absolute worst place imaginable in ep7 makes me laugh every time
I love this show as much as you do! I was disappointed for so many months that this series didn't win any polls. And it's so rewarding to know that it has become one of your favorite series.
I've never felt so relieved and heartbroken at the same time
I wasn't expecting to be so crushed by Ekko's storyline.
Before this show, only Fringe was, for me, a perfect show. Once the writers know the end, the journey is just perfection.
I appreciate this Fringe callout more than you know. It's my comfort show I've rewatched the most number of times 🤍🖤
Episode 7 is a masterpiece
However, the time she acknowledges that he's actually there she jumps instead so she won't hurt him
Heimerdinger managed to create a device to send Ekko back to reality to save the day, vaporizing himself in the process. Doesn't get a mention
The finale episode was supposed to be 90min, and they cut a lot out for time due to Netflix saying it was going to be too expensive
24:47 The reaction to this whole reveal was amazing. Is the watch along uncensored? Because this outburst was sublime.
Just 2 seasons and this show had such an impact. We care about these characters, we are interested in the story/lore, we are blown away by the visuals and touched by the music.
Such an amazing show.
the fear in Cait's eyes when she was about to get shot by Maddie made my heart DROP. Arcane writers are definitely not shy to kill off any characters which we all well know of, so I was convinced they would kill Cait at that moment and ruin my life
ekko and jinx dancing is such a beautiful moment, that i will never forget...
7:36 This universe already has a King as well as a Queen. Ekko needs to return to save his own Queen 😉
OK...
I am just sad that this show did ambaessa disservice by not explaining her past as to how much she suffered and how much she has lost at this point in time
Fr Ambessa was one of my favorite characters, Im kinda bummed they never went in depth about her backstory.
That song at the start of episode 9 with the animation and the blinking light at the end is stunning
