I think the height was adjustable - in the time skip between episodes 3 and 4 in season 1, it goes from a cane to a crutch. Not sure why it just happened to be fully extended, maybe the extension mechanism broke in Jinx's attack? Just speculating.
When he emerges from the cocoon you can see him "infect" the cane as he walks. The hexcore extended it. But as a meta reason, yeah, its to help the visual design hahaha. They went hard on the prophet angle, with the cane and the book of revelations. Particularly Jesus coded with the sheepherder's cane and whatnot.
She doesn’t miss, however Vi was RIGHT there, she’s enraged, the hextech was glitching out, AND there was a kid in the way. They’ve already shown the bullets she’s using are not tiny, they make massive holes. I don’t care if she doesn’t miss, she shouldn’t be willing to take that chance with Vi and the kid there. Season 1 Caitlyn would be appalled by her behavior this season
Oh, and her mother, who sealed up the Grey so the Undercity could finally breathe nom-toxic air and Caitlyns using it to gas them. I love her but she’s doing some really fucked up shit this season. And poor Vi, left down there crying. She’s lost basically everyone at this point, then her girlfriend turns into a fascist

Im sure its nothing compared to what shes about to do. Also im always team Zaun 🙏 piltover is just bunch of rich people who doesnt care about the poor in the undercity. Great characters still all of them 🙏🔥 10/10 show. Team Jinx and undercity 👌
For 2 years I've been telling everyone Mel would survive the blast because she has her own shield... makes sense now that she went and embraced Jayce, sharing her shield with him. I used to wonder how would Viktor survive, but he was actually almost dead. For proof you can first just check the last seconds of the first season. Her golden armor glows and warns her before even the rocket is close from hitting the window. Second, there's a interview from one of the sound engineers explaining how the sound of her golden "armor" (from his own words) sounds.
I really hope that's not the case, because that would be really bad writing. Introducing literal plot armor without explanation or setup, that only League of Legends players would recognize or understand? A kind of magic that is completely different from anything we've seen or heard about at any point during the show? Until now the writers have only included references to the games as Easter Eggs - it would be really weird to do that for such an important plot point and I think the show's writers are better than that.
@LadyDoomsinger i mean you can check it out yourself! It's not obvious but it's really in the surface of chapter 9. She is looking at Jayce as he is facing the window, but she reacts briefly, stopping a smile. Then looks backwards as her "golden decorations" shine through her clothes, and then the rocket (which doesn't trigger a reflection from that) gets to the window. I mean you can really understand what's happening if you *really* look closer, no need to know LOL lore.
@@santiagogeringertueros7791 I assure you, as someone who doesn't know anything about LoL outside Arcane, a super magic secret item just happening to be plot relevant at the most critical moment is not something I would figure out.

I think one sad thing I perceived is that Caitlyn has already changed, one of Vi’s themes also is not accepting change or not realizing it’s already happened. I think Caitlyn has already changed mentally and in sad way, only kissed Vi to give her false reassurance. Also, if you look at episode one of season 2, after Mel is able to convince the counsel of not using hextech, Ambessa nods at her main guard, that’s when he goes to manipulate the situation. And the other one I liked is when Mel talks to the Vastaya women (Vastaya are half fox, half human race in runeterra), the play they are showing is re-actment of crowing of "Jarvan 4 on Demacia kingdom footsteps. Jarv IV is the king of demacia." And last one off the top of my head, just like episode 3 of first season, this time Vi is left on her own and lost everybody. I’m glad Ambessa is the first noxian most people will see because she has utilized the 3 pillars of strength of noxus that is Might : becoming a champion should prove it. if not, we'll see in the future. Guile : tricking a chem baron into attacking only to betray them and sowing a seed of hatred in Caitlyn and piltovian. Vision : securing 2 members in council. pledge herself to Caitlyn and use her to further her own gain. I just hope slightly for general audiences they flesh out her a little bit more and make her nuanced. I’m not against the typical good guy prevails against outright villain, just I feel like Riot made such a good show many complex and nuanced characters in the first season, I hope they can do with this season, at least for general audiences. She definitely cares about her family and just know the "man" her son crossed, if they are eluding to what fans know...he's VERY POWERFUL...I don't blame Ambessa for being scared af.... This show is very good at show, don't tell. So many times I wish more dialogue was written or I wrote in my own, but they left it up to audience to interpret the situation on their own perceptions I also told some friends and mentioned in some comments, I was personally not all surprised all of this happened in Act 1. If you watch the first season trailer, they basically don't reveal anything past act 1, I found it predictable, but.... I still found it absolutely thoroughly enjoyable. I am obviously probably biased as I am part of the many fans that knew most of this world coming into this show. But I am so glad you are along for this ride. P.s. also quite dark, but I fully believe Jinx was ready and wanting to die again and was going to have herself and whomever else that might've died, flown up through the fans...and we can piece what happens when that happens. Quite morbid and sad. If I also may add slight context to Ambessa and where she is from/and character perspective. Noxus as a nation can be slightly hard to explain. Overall they are viewed as an evil, expansionist nation that likes war. But internally they just value strength above all else. Ironically and not to retcon the show, they offer any many new nations they conquer a chance to join the nation of Noxus from lowest citizen to highest official. If you can do something and you have the willpower to show your value, you will do well. In short they are a meritocracy which values individuals abilities, strength and talents vs wealth, social class or race. One its highest generals - Darius, started out in the slums in Noxus with his brother Draven and they worked their way up to the highest rank of the army. In short, if you are weak, you will not survive in Noxian society.
Remember folks. Just cause she painted it pretty colors doesn't mean she didn't blast Piltover with the gray. A small demonstration to smash their sense of security but still poison from the vents.
A few things. In season 1 the reason Mel's mom came to Piltover was because Mel's brother died to the nation she's at war with. Mel's mom mentioned this to Mel in a talk. She urged Mel to let the war unfold between Piltover and the undercity so their family could seize the Hextech after the war was over. Mel knows all this. That creature at the end was 100% Vander. Or a creature in league known as Warwick. Towards the end of episode 3 season 1, Vander takes Shimmer, and it turns him into a beast like creature, that looks a little like what the mad scientist has hanging up
That blanket you wrapped up in at the end... I bought a red one for 40 pesos at a Mexico City market in high school thinking it was authentic and handmade, and my wife got one in purple on a college trip to Thailand (thinking the same). What far off land did yours come from? 😅
My guess for where Jayce, Echo, and Prof. Furball are is wherever Jayce & his mother were transported from when he was a kid. They flashed to him as a kid there right beforehand and somewhere snowy is where the scientist guy seems to be, so I'm guessing them stumbling across him is how whatever he's cooking up is going to be integrated into the story.
Son of a B, Each character is being depicted as Characters from Major Shakespeare or other influential Plays, All who meet tragic ends. When you see it you can't unsee it. Jinx is being depicted as If Jinx is being depicted as a character from Victor Hugo’s Les Misérables, she most closely represents Éponine. Both characters are products of their environments-Jinx from the underbelly of Zaun and Éponine from the streets of Paris-struggling against societal expectations and injustices. Their lives are marked by rebellion against the circumstances they were born into, highlighting themes of class struggle present in both narratives. n a pivotal moment during the uprising, Éponine saves Marius’s life. When she sees that he is in danger from enemy fire, she throws herself in front of him to protect him. This act of bravery results in her being mortally wounded. Final Moments: As she lies dying in Marius’s arms, Éponine reveals her true feelings for him one last time. She expresses happiness that he loves Cosette and finds peace knowing he will be happy with someone else. Her death scene is filled with emotional weight as she passes away contentedly after having fulfilled her love for Marius through her sacrifice. #TimeBomb ? Jinx saves Ekko or Vi to be fair. Ok now I am gutted.💔 Caitlyn's journey reflects the tragic arc of Macbeth, marked by ambition, moral conflict, and ultimately, a descent into darkness. In the opening credits of Season 2, Caitlyn is depicted with imagery that resonates with Macbeth's themes, suggesting her rise to power and the heavy burdens that accompany it. This connection is further emphasized by her increasingly ruthless behavior as she pursues Jinx, viewing her as an obstacle rather than a sister figure14. Episode 3 Insights By the end of Episode 3, Caitlyn's transformation becomes even more pronounced. Her actions are driven by a desire for vengeance against Jinx, mirroring Macbeth's ambition that leads to betrayal and violence. As she grapples with her grief over her mother's death and her responsibilities as a leader, Caitlyn's character embodies the tragic consequences of unchecked ambition25. In a pivotal scene, Caitlyn's confrontation with Vi showcases her internal struggle; she feels compelled to push Vi away to achieve her goals, hinting at a deep-seated regret reminiscent of Macbeth's tragic choices28. The episode culminates in Caitlyn being appointed as a general by Ambessa Medarda, further entrenching her in a role that reflects power but also manipulation, akin to how Macbeth was used by Lady Macbeth to fulfill their ambitions5 Ambessa was also being depicted as Julius Caesar in the intro, Victor as Phantom of the Opera. Every character which meet tragic ends.

The show writers introducing a unique magic item with no explanation or setup, that only people who play League of Legends would recognize, when all such previous references have exclusively been Easter Eggs would be incredibly poor writing, and I seriously hope that isn't the case, because everything else in Arcane is so masterfully done.
@@boot-strapper Ah yes, gold famously never shines unless it's magic. That might be a good hint for people familiar with LoL - it does not explain anything to the rest of us.
tbf Vi's newfound morality was nowhere to be seen in season 1. She was ruthless and had no problems with anything and killing anyone just to get rid of Silco. Even told Jayce to suck it up when he killed a kid by accident. Vi is the Eric Andre's "how could do this" meme.
> I did a recap, but I totally forgot that her mom died Well, yeah, because she died after the attack? Because of the attack? I'm confused. Well tbf if you watch reaction content there’s a good chance you have watched the same scenes multiple times already. Hard to forget stuff when you’ve essentially watched it multiple times!
Those reactors have most likely only seen it once, I can imagine you've watched it several times. Forgetting details years after you've watched something isn't weird lol
it's more about what moments u paid more attention to and how your brain remembered it, that's mostly why u usually remember nothing from stuff u watched as a child
I’ve felt the same way, but… you do have to also realize that they do this for a living as well. Watching for pleasure and watching for work gives you different perspectives. And they sure as heck are not going to remember everything from the hundreds of shows they watch, much less rewatch or watch other reactors like us.
There's a good reason they keep coming back to Singed by the end of every episode. If you thought Jinx was dangerous, you are not prepared for what's coming. Something War-wicked this way comes :3
Just clarifying it was her golden armor piece that glowed at the end of season 1, and at the very start of this season, we see it glowing faintly before the smoke recedes So I agree that is probably enchanted with protection or the like
I have a feeling it will be a spell that was the reason for Mel being targeted by Black Rose. Like she stole or took back a deal with them to protect her other child after her son died. Idk just spitballing. Would certainly make the mom a lot more morally grey, which Arcane loves to do.

I assume it is just extendable, but no one has explained why Victor's crutch turned into a bishop's crook (for a character image enhancement, I guess)
It's like the hex core was modifying it to his new needs
it's a water to wine sort of scenario lmao
I think the height was adjustable - in the time skip between episodes 3 and 4 in season 1, it goes from a cane to a crutch. Not sure why it just happened to be fully extended, maybe the extension mechanism broke in Jinx's attack? Just speculating.
When he emerges from the cocoon you can see him "infect" the cane as he walks. The hexcore extended it.
But as a meta reason, yeah, its to help the visual design hahaha. They went hard on the prophet angle, with the cane and the book of revelations. Particularly Jesus coded with the sheepherder's cane and whatnot.
22:22 Viktor is SUCH A BADASS !!!
Jinx shooting the council wasnt even that bad compared to what caitlyn is doing.. Council kinda deserved it 😅 caitlyn gassing the poor, willing to kill a kid and becoming a dictator all for revenge.. Im sure its nothing compared to what shes about to do. Also im always team Zaun 🙏 piltover is just bunch of rich people who doesnt care about the poor in the undercity. They are making them live in poverty 💀 Vi also teaming up with the cops who killed her parents and then raiding their childhood arcade hangout while using gas is wild 😭 crazy writing tho.
Then Jayce asks himself how is that even possible! Everything checks out
@@santiagogeringertueros7791 I assure you, as someone who doesn't know anything about LoL outside Arcane, a super magic secret item just happening to be plot relevant at the most critical moment is not something I would figure out.
@@LadyDoomsinger I 100% understand. Maybe I got a little obsessed over Arcane (I surely did), so I figured it out along the rewatches and reactions. I'm sure it will get explained over the next 6 chapters, but hey, she wears those golden things even in bed! Had to be something
Awesome to see this back! Thanks for uploading this, as it's my coping mechanism while waiting for Act II releasing sometime tomorrow (or hopefully not long after midnight).
I’m glad Ambessa is the first noxian most people will see because she has utilized the 3 pillars of strength of noxus that is
Might : becoming a champion should prove it. if not, we'll see in the future.
So many times I wish more dialogue was written or I wrote in my own, but they left it up to audience to interpret the situation on their own perceptions
I also told some friends and mentioned in some comments, I was personally not all surprised all of this happened in Act 1.
So excited to see you watch this. Everything is ramped emotionally right away!
YAY!! You're back on the Arcane train!
Towards the end of episode 3 season 1, Vander takes Shimmer, and it turns him into a beast like creature, that looks a little like what the mad scientist has hanging up
Lowkey looked nothing like an ACTUAL WEREWOLF lmao but I’m pretty sure it’s confirmed
The Warwick/Vander stuff is a spoiler door people who haven’t played the game :/
@@Wraiven22 facts
Not the nation she's at war with. Other powerful noxian forces.
That blanket you wrapped up in at the end... I bought a red one for 40 pesos at a Mexico City market in high school thinking it was authentic and handmade, and my wife got one in purple on a college trip to Thailand (thinking the same). What far off land did yours come from? 😅
23:08 Lisan Al Gaeb!!!
I was so scared when this got unlisted before i could watch it so glad its back lol
This is the fastest nat has ever posted a new szn ! I’m shocked 😮🔥
Have you watched the teaser song they released just before arcane? "Blood, sweat and tears" is a hint on Ambessa's backstory
"I am so ready" famous last words
Natalie + Arcane = must see
My guess for where Jayce, Echo, and Prof.
Hot off the press with this one Nat 😊 It's already such a great season.
Ambessa Medarda (Mel's mom) is one of the newest Champions in League, releasing fairly soon.
Episode 3 Insights
By the end of Episode 3, Caitlyn's transformation becomes even more pronounced.
The episode culminates in Caitlyn being appointed as a general by Ambessa Medarda, further entrenching her in a role that reflects power but also manipulation, akin to how Macbeth was used by Lady Macbeth to fulfill their ambitions5
Ambessa was also being depicted as Julius Caesar in the intro, Victor as Phantom of the Opera. Every character which meet tragic ends.
obligatory "Mel was glowing Gold when the missile hit" that means she got her Shield up in time (Jayce was exactly opposite her in the room so was protected too) comment
31:14 Jinx's finger begs to differ
That wasn’t a miss
@BuddyChy Caitlyn wasn't aiming for her hand
@ the fact that she never misses begs to differ… doing so helped Vi pin her down, so I’d say it was intentional
It'll be a fun, emotional, action packed run ❤
I swear to god this JUST showed up in my RUclips subscription section within the past 30mins. Cuz it says upload 4hours ago but when I checked it earlier I didn’t see it and I DEF would’ve
The thing for me was that I got a notification about it just when it uploaded, only to not see any trace of it when I was gonna watch it a bit later. Strange...
lol Natalie stopped calling Caitlyn and called her Kiramman once she put on that hat. Even she's feeling a bit distant from her now.
I'm scared for the next two acts, hopefully Cupcake comes back
You will like the "monster" at the end of episode 3... All I'm saying 😬
You should definitely check out the dragon prince
Mel had magic gold armor... watch episode 9 again
Everyone seems to forget her armor started glowing before the missile broke through the window.
@@JohnMC61 I know all this stuff because i have watched the show like 100 times. A lot of these react channels saw it once when it came out 3 years ago
The show writers introducing a unique magic item with no explanation or setup, that only people who play League of Legends would recognize, when all such previous references have exclusively been Easter Eggs would be incredibly poor writing, and I seriously hope that isn't the case, because everything else in Arcane is so masterfully done.
@@LadyDoomsinger magic armor glowing just before a fatal strike should be a pretty good indicator. I knew she would survive 3 years ago.
Vi is the Eric Andre's "how could do this" meme.
you should really break this up to more than a 35min skit it was fun though
Caitlin’s mom was the woman with the blue stud earrings that Jayce looked at after Mel in the aftermath of the explosion
Viktor has become the Shimmer Messiah.
Undercity Jesus is here!
> I did a recap, but I totally forgot that her mom died
Well, yeah, because she died after the attack? Because of the attack? I'm confused.
I'm always so perpetually weirded out by just how much people forget from the movies and TV shows they watch. Like 90% of reactors I watch don't remember anything from Arcane even though we've all watched it at the same time. I don't know if my brain is working overtime or people's brains are getting worse.
@@Wraiven22 Fair, but I do remember movies and TV shows I haven't watched any reactions to.
it's more about what moments u paid more attention to and how your brain remembered it, that's mostly why u usually remember nothing from stuff u watched as a child
The creepy Guy at the End is called Singed.
He ...is something special.
You ll see.
Yes finally I have been WAITING for this
The song played from silvikas atm os jinx theme so g in the games

Renni: for my son
18:18 That creature is a "Poro" xD And YES for real where is he ? :o
Mel was protected by some sort of a spell (remeber the golden aura around her when the rocket hit the tower)
Just clarifying it was her golden armor piece that glowed at the end of season 1, and at the very start of this season, we see it glowing faintly before the smoke recedes
So I agree that is probably enchanted with protection or the like
Yup definitely enchanted
I have a feeling it will be a spell that was the reason for Mel being targeted by Black Rose. Like she stole or took back a deal with them to protect her other child after her son died. Idk just spitballing. Would certainly make the mom a lot more morally grey, which Arcane loves to do.
I’ve been waiting for this ❤
Rocket didn't explode when it hit the mirror it exploded after it went through.
this is Caitlyns fault with the release of the gray
omg ive been waiting for your reaction to Arcane S2
