Great video and comparisons with the regular pellets. I have the Fx slugs , but haven't tried them. I'm too delighted with the .30 nec slugs with my crown, and the .249 slugs with my AA S510. The fx slug liner loves NEC .217's. Too lazy to change barrels right now.
Glad I found this channel! Nice video. With the release of the new H&N slugs I ordered some 21 grain .217 /5.5mm from PA) it would be great to see a shoot-off between the two. I've subscribed here as any smart person would do. Keep the good stuff coming. :)
Tried the FX Hybrids in my Daystate Regal XL at 20 yards and my rife did not seem to like them, very tight on chambering. But my rifle just loves the new NSA 19 gr. and 17.5 gr. slugs. NSA 19 gr. shoot at 774 fps. and the 17.5 gr. shoot at 795 fps. I have not checked the fps. on the FX Hybrids yet. Accuracy with the NSA Slugs at 20 yards is pretty much pellet on pellet, the FX Hybrids opened up a bit more in my rifle.
heavy impact Yea your right but in my rifle with the slug liner Mikes slugs, for some reason, work Way better. Also using a pellet liner which I did try the Nielsen slugs in and had no luck with them at all. So something is different about them.
. . . that appeared to be an AA S510 that Ted was shooting. I thought I heard something about "... so damned slow". :( ( lol ) I have an S510 XS Ultimate Sporter too and have two boxes of these slugs on order just to try them out. I love the gun - it is wickedly accurate and consistent - do wish it had a higher shot count and could be "tuned" more than just using the variable power dial. Do any of you - or the folks that own that gun that Ted was shooting - know how well these slugs do or do not perform with it?
I don't see why they would since it's not his design, it's made on standard dies from Corbin and FX copies and uses whatever they want without asking... like my eccentric plenum design that FX copied from a CAD drawing I posted on a forum back in April of this year. FX calls it "Power Plenum" (on the new Impact releasing early January 2020) without giving me credit for the design. Michal Osyda in Poland copied and produced my design first. I thought Fredrik Axelsson was a better man than that but he may have been duped by one of his employees taking credit for my design. All I asked for was "thank you for your contribution". No word yet.
@@niwachien Yeah all I hear is about peoples ideas being stolen by FX. By the RU/Turkish air rifle makers, I can understand, and though I never received a rifle I ordered from FX I didnt think they were THAT bad, FX disappoints yet again.

hi just wanna ask if i can use this hybrid slug on my standard impactX, no plenum upgrades, not mk2, just standard impactX? and if yes can shoot it around 940-950fps? thanks
Jovi, I'm not sure you'll be able to push it that fast. Without pushing the limits of my reg, when my Impact was a stock MK1, I was pushing them in the 700's. I think, but am not sure, the ImpactX has better airflow and should do better. If you try it and find out we'd love to hear about it.
I was sure these were Rat Snipers, ok, now I'm cool with it, lol. I honestly can say that I was a bit pissed when I first saw them come out, I thought they'd stolen his slug design. Really glad to see this. Can't wait to test these babies out.
I think they would, though not at high velocity. The one squirrel I've had the opportunity to shoot was in the mid 700's, and the slug performed very well in every way. It was accurate, it expanded, and there was a humane dispatch of a pest.
I would be interested to no Ted what these slugs would be like through sub 12 foot pounds fx impact smooth twist and so would the rest of the UK many thanks buddy
At 980fps, does that mean those Hybrids need more gigantic supply of air per rifle or else, you get just X number of shots per fill? Oh yes... whatever it takes to be accurate out to those amazing distances..
i got in to air rifles because is cheap!!! now, those slugs are expensive close to 18bucks for 100pcs.🤔 i think ill keep shooting my pellets. great vid.
Teds cool for real . He catches a lotta crap from haters .... But he is one of the most down to earth cats I’ve met in the sport
Haters gonna hate. Ted’s videos were a huge influence on me in getting into pcp Airguns in the first place. I still love his videos.
Ted's great. He got a lot of guys interested in air rifles.
@Johnny Venturino Are you saying other content creators are the ass kissers? Or people are kissing Ted's ass?
He is like you , I enjoy watching you and Ted on RUclips , I have made purchases based on your knowledge !
great video PJ......glad I was there to witness this !
With the new slugs and increased accuracy out to longer ranges the future of PCP’s looks bright for the airgun industry !

Mike at ratsniperslugs designed and is making these exclusively for FX now! I've been using these for a year in .25 cal.
No they're made on standard dies from Corbin that anyone can purchase. NSA started out making the same slug years ago. There is no patent.
heavy impact Oh that could be but Mike's got the machines now to make them faster and cheaper.
@@Lorwildrose Yet they're 3X the price of NSA partially due to the two die process in forming them.

I shot them out of Ted's Impact, and I shot them out of the S510. We were hitting 1' diamond shaped spinners with no difficulty. I'd say it performed.
