I’m keen to get to try my new claydon drill this spring as we didn’t use it in the autumn as it was too wet. We ploughed and combi drilled everything. I think we’ll express in front just to make a bit tilth. Great video. 👍
Always feel so other powered when watching you drill we run a class challenger 55 on our 3m claydon drill most of the time. Hope you missed the heavy rain our 50ac barley not looking good 60ac rape failed looking like a busy spring with all 300ac to spring drill
Tbf she pulls it well but we aren’t Holly which really helps! Ours isn’t looking too special now with the rain we’ve had 🙈 and this week doesn’t look any better either 🤦🏼♂️
James, I would seriously consider a retrofit RTK system for your tractor, it'll make drilling soooo much easier and save a few passes per field. ERH services has an opened FJ box for just over £3k. It'll go quick though. I run two on older tractors and it makes a big difference. Anyway, great video, good luck heading into a wet winter
Keep thinking about it and will definitely put gps on our next tractor but it wouldn’t half be handy! It’s incredibly tiring watching the drill mark all day and it would be great for mowing and taking too.
I hope the heavy rain doesn't do any harm to the seeds you have planted in such good condition James, it's been horrendous here in the east of Ireland all week, and hasn't stopped all day today 😢😢😢
Farmers in our village became water management specialists today, diverting water flowing from fields around the village. very muddy though :)
Love this video and especially that claydon wow! Great work James!
Thank kai! I went in great but isn’t doing so well now weve had all this rain. 🌧️ 🤦🏼♂️
Fantastic drone shots in this!
Thanks, glad you liked them 😉
Well done sir, good job done!
As they say back in the day always plough the land the way it lies as the water will follow the plough furrow

I've also drilled a field of Caravelle as well as a couple with my own Cassia.
I've high hopes as it looks great on paper?

First video this week!! Come on we deserve more!!😊
Whine much! He is not obligated to make any videos- farming has deadlines, they have to be met. Videoing is very time consuming.
Is the toolbox on the Claydon the old side box off the 3040 I spent many hours power harrowing on that
Yes that’s the one. Sat in the workshop so bolted it on! 👍
Headlands should always be done last and freshen headlands ..too many RUclipsrs doing headland first
