Even the magic that's just there to shine on peoples boots is trying to kill Taash. That's how dislikable this character is. If you would put Taash into the real world your fridge would probably try to kill her as well. This would be good marketing for fridges though. Some manufacturer should base a marketing campaign on this.
DA2 has better banter than this and I replayed that game twice, once before this dumpsterfire and after to see which is worst. At least there were likable characters in 2. I hate every companion here and I will set them to fail just coz I dislike them all.

I remember in Dragon Age Origins, Wynne and Alistair had a playful but kind mother-son relationship. Wynne even remarked on Alistair's dirty soak and cleaned it for him. Eventually, Wynne got comfortable enough to talk to Alistair about her son and having to give him up because she was in the Circle of Magi and hoping he grew up to be like him. It showed growth between the characters that they were more willing to share sensitive things about their past but also there were characters unwilling to look past the others actions. Compared that to this and it's almost an execution of a franchise.
Writing like this is a reminder that dry, semi-lifeless dialogue is always better than overly long, meandering dialogue written by someone who thinks they’re exceedingly clever
