I’ve never had a taste for ‘big band’ music. But I wanted to hear some versions of Tickle Toe. I’m trying to get a (Bb Fake Book) version in the key of Eb under my 73 year old fingers on my clarinet. I’m very much an amateur player. In fact it’s even more sobering than that. I’m an old amateur player. This version blew me away. Loved it. Great soloists, great arrangement. I suppose there are big bands and then there are big bands?
@@BB27823 He meant like 3rd trumpet like sitting in the middle like if you count the trumpets left to right or right to left Ryan Kisor would be 3rd one counted. But I guess in this song Jonah Moss was lead and maybe Ryan played lead in others
Dude sitting between Elliot and Crenshaw having the time of his life 😂
First Tenor player has got a lot of Lester in his playing! Great to hear :)
oh yeah. Close your eyes and imagine.
jonah moss doing work!
With Ryan freaking Kisor sitting right next to him! It'll be interesting to see where he ends up in the music scene.
This Julian lee can really play
i love his sound on this concert
he’s so laid back it’s astonishing
Related to Samuel Lee?

Как бережно передали и раскрыли дух (Лестера, это восторг
Jonah moss is killing it dude
Take a moment to appreciate the student playing lead trumpet on this piece (Jonah Moss)
Playing ahead of Wynton Marsalis must be intimidating but also an honor
*Solos:*
Tenor Sax: Julian Lee (0:22, 0:46, 1:55, 2:11)
Trumpet: Ryan Kisor (0:39)
Tenor Sax: Victor Goines (1:22, 2:03, 2:11)
Trombone: Chris Crenshaw (2:36, 2:53, 3:34)
Trombone: Elliot Mason (3:01, 3:34)
honored to be the 1,000th like. But also, confused at how this golden video doesn't have more!
3:42 eternal triangle lick from Chris
Julian Lee is my favorite
Julian Lee can swing!!!
Yeah, this was well worth listening. Lester Young would approve, I'm sure.

Does anyone know the arrangement to this song
Apparently the guys in this video do. LOL
Most likely a custom arrangement written by a member of JALC.
This is the Count Basie chart.
Which concert is this?
Best of Basie
