Usain Bolt vs Marcell Jacobs. London 2012 vs Tokyo 2020. Two Olympic men's 100m races that went down in history! While Bolt set a new Olympic record, Jacobs became the first European to win the Olympic 100m title since Britain's Linford Christie at Barcelona 1992, and Italy's first Olympic sprint champion since Pietro Mennea took the 200m at Moscow 1980.

Our beloved Marcell 🇮🇹❤️ is an excellent runner and overall athlete. Bolt was, and is, a force of nature. Hats off to both.
And Bolt's actual world record time was 9.58 for the 100m

Bolt has his usual mediocre start, is behind most of the race and virtually overtakes Jacobs in the last 40 metres as Jacobs hits his top-end speed 😳 Usain is a beast.
Actually in this race, Bolt was in line with the rest of the field at the start. Unofficial splits records him at 6.35 over the first 60m

Marcell Jacobs is still young. He will run below 9.70 one day for sure. But beating 9.60 is not human. Only the beast Bolt can do it.
Umm no. Jacobs may go below 9.8 but getting to 9.70 is an entirely different story. There have been only 3 people EVER that have sniffed that mark and 2 of them have tested positive to performance enhancing drugs

No ones coming close to 9.63s no one has not even break 9.75s in recent years. Bolt 200m record is in most danger. He ran it agains't bad wind and tired so if someone who is close enough bolt can beat it in perfect conditions.

Con todo el respeto para Jacobs pero hay varios atletas que han realizado menos de 9.80, nada le quita el esfuerzo y sacrificio para ganar esa medalla pero le falta un largo recorrido y tiene todo el futuro por delante para lograr grandes cosas, todavía no es momento de compararlo ya que hay varios atletas que han realizado logros y marcas en esa disciplina.

Marcell Jacobs I think will get better and faster. I saw him at the world indoors winning gold in the 60m and he looks much better than he did at Tokyo. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s running in the low 9:70’s this year.

I thin bolt really tried to do it in 40 stride you see him dipping quite early that must cost him like some milli seconds. I feel he could beat his wr running more relaxed his start was not optimal either.
