- From the old Speed Channel, a biography on 2 time Grand National Champion Tim Flock. An interview with Flock chronicles the amazing story of Jocko Flocko a rhesus monkey who rode in the car during several NASCAR races. Tim Flock won the Grand National stock car championship in 1952 and 1955.
The legendary racer forever in our hearts of NASCAR.💖
Great post, thanks. Gotta post ANY history.
It will take time but eventually all my collection (except those blocked by others) will be UL'd. I personally love the history of racing and am currently working on some original historical pieces (similar to the one I did on Jigger Sirois). I've got several others from this "Past Champions" series as well as the "Men Behind the Wrenches" series. So, stay tuned.
Gotta see the one on Jigger. He was my favorite USAC Stock driver for a couple of years in early seventies.
It''s just a short 9 minute video. If you Google or YT search "The Jigger Sirois Story" it should pop right up.
that is the good stof.

BRING BACK STRICTLY STOCK!
The closest thing to that (I know of) these days are the SCCA showroom stock classes.
I agree, and from there we have our rough blueprint...
What? With SUV's? Old cars had personality!

The real deal...
Aint never, EVER, been a driver with the charisma & character as Tim Flock! This man could draw a crowd just by reading the phone book.
208 km/H sur le sable avec des pneus en toile gommée et une chiotte qui pesait pres de 2 tonnes , fallait vraiment avoir la foi
